Part Fourteen

Part Fourteen
“I wonder why this place was abandoned.”
“Yeah, the food is great!” An-chan wrapped her arm around CrimsonMoon’s shoulders and ate the sushi from his chopsticks.
“Hey!”
“I hate sushi.” Rain glared at the food before her.
The gang had travelled until they found an abandoned sushi restaurant.
“What? You’re not going to eat anything?” Big Kitty smirked at her from across the table.
“Watch it, Wi-”
He threw a chopstick at her which she caught with ease. She set it down neatly before getting up to leave.
“What crawled up her ass and died?”
“Go ask her.” Nicole shrugged before she sipped her water.
“Why aren’t you eating?” Ray leaned his head against his hand.
“I’m a Goddess. Human food doesn’t do anything for me. I can only eat Heaven food but not every day like a Human either.”
“Why were we dragged along with you guys?” Marrick’s right tiger ear twitched.
“’Cause I felt like it. Got a problem?”
“What are you the Goddess of?”
“War.”
“Then no...no problems ever.” Marrick shook his head and laughed nervously.
“That’s what I thought.” Nicole stabbed a sushi with her chopstick and ate it, glaring slightly at the two new members.
Little Kitty mewed.

Rain sighed as she paced back and forth behind the restaurant. She toyed with one of her long dark blue bangs, pulling it slightly in frustration. ‘Where is that Vampire bastard? He hasn’t popped up in a while and I want blood.’ She stopped suddenly and punched the brick wall, leaving and indentation, before leaning her forehead against it. She closed her eyes and focussed on controlling her rapidly beating heart.

When the gang had finished eating, they went upstairs and found a few bedrooms. An-chan paired up with CrimsonMoon and Nicole paired up with Rain.
An-chan sat on the edge of the bed, staring out of the window at the darkening sky. She felt the bed shift when CrimsonMoon lied down on it. She turned to look down at him. He returned her gaze evenly, coal black and sky blue.
“Do you miss Kotori?” She had to know. No, she needed to know.
“Of course I do. I’ve been at that temple for a long time.” He paused. “Why do you want to know?”
“Just curious...it is in my nature.” She shrugged and turned back to the window.
Steve sat up and rested his hand on her shoulder, turning her to face him. She shivered slightly at the contact. They stared at each other for what seemed like forever. No one moved, barely even breathed. An-chan’s heart hammered in her chest. She was so sure he could hear it. ‘Curiosity isn’t the only thing in my nature. I don’t like passing up moments in my life.’ She moved forward slightly and brushed her lips over his. It was only a whisper of a touch but the jolt they both felt was electric.
In the next second, Steve moved his hand from her shoulder to the back of her neck and pulled her to him. Their lips pressed together in a simple kiss. An-chan shifted her position and straddled his hips, licking his bottom lip when she got there. They both moaned at the sensation. Their lips broke apart.
Steve changed their positions so she was lying under him on the mattress. Her left hand was slightly above her head while her right was next to it. Her blue eyes were darkened slightly as were her cheeks. Her black and red stripped t-shirt had ridden up her body to reveal a small expanse of her stomach. She made an inviting sight. Bending down over her, he pressed his lips to hers again which opened immediately on contact. Their tongues met hesitantly and danced softly against one another. Resting his weight on his right arm, he used his left to touch the skin of her stomach. She moaned into his mouth at the touch. He trailed his hand higher and gently cupped her breast through her bra.
“Ah!” An-chan broke off the kiss and tossed her head back, hands clenched into fists.
She looked...breathtaking like that. His thumb skimmed her nipple which caused her to shiver against him. He sucked his breath in sharply when she made contact with his erection. He bent his head down to her Human ear.
“Why the hell didn’t we do this sooner?”
“You were too preoccupied with Rain and stopping her.” He pulled back to see the sadness in her blue eyes.
Removing his hand from her breast, he trailed his fingers up her arm and entwined their fingers. He brought their hands to his lips and stared down at her over them.
That single, simple action touched her deeply.

Ray ran his bare fingers over the dragon tattoo on his arm. “Take Human form.”
A sizzling sound filled the room as Ray hissed at the slight pain. The dragon came off his arm and wrapped around it before floating before him. In a small burst of light, it changed into a small girl, three feet in height. She had long crimson hair that was braided down her back and shining green eyes. Her skin was pale white and she had sharp black nails. She was dressed in a black t-shirt and a black frilly skirt, no shoes. Her ears were laced with gold and silver loop earrings. From her back sprung a pair of black bat-like wings.
“Yes, Master?” She spoke in a melodic voice as she floated closer to him.
“Something doesn’t feel right in this place. Can you tell what it is?”
She nodded.

Marrick lay on the bed, hands behind his head, staring up at the ceiling. He didn’t like travelling in groups but there was no way he was going up against a Goddess. He may be a skilled fighter but she would definitely make him suffer for the effort.
“Not that that would be a bad thing.” He was a masochist in secret. “But onto more important things. I know I’ve seen that Feline girl before. Warning bells are going off like crazy because of her. No one else seems to suspect anything though.” He sighed wistfully. “Maybe I’m finally going crazy.”
His tiger ear twitched slightly. ‘Something’s wrong.’

William pinned Rain to the floor, hands held above her head. They were both breathing heavily. She glared up at him and wiggled one of her legs out from under him. He quickly moved both of her wrists to one hand and grabbed her leg, holding it down at the thigh.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?”
“Nothing.” She spoke between clenched teeth.
“It’s not nothing. Whatever it is, it’s making you slip up. As much as I hate you and as much as I’m weary of your presence here, we need you intact. This war, or whatever it is, won’t end easily and your skills are needed.”
“Shut up. You know nothing. All of you-”
The building rumbled and shook as if something exploded.
She kicked him off of her and ran from the room.

The gang assembled downstairs. Before anyone could say anything, the sushi they had left out started flying at them, serrated teeth and all. They ran quickly outside and drove away.
“Let’s not stop at abandoned places anymore.” Marrick spoke over the mic.
“Agreed.” Big Kitty sighed as he drove on.
Rain glanced back at the two and burst out laughing. Big Kitty inched away from her slightly.
“Finally snapped, huh?”
“Nope!” She smirked back at the two. “They almost had sex.”

“Two have joined the fray. One is a white tiger Feline, the other is a hunter of the supernatural, mostly Demons. An-chan and CrimsonMoon are becoming closer as the journey progresses. Big Kitty and the Goddess are ever the same. Rain is becoming unstable and weak. Report over.”
