Not only Jin's family came out this time, the whole village gathered on the shore to wish the man well and give gifts of food and supplies to be taken to the ship. Besides, his farewells with the girl had already been said in private. Kate spared a smile for Jin and for Michael, but quickly regained her more serious expression. Something told her that her survival would be uncertain at best. She liked a challenge though, so all would be right for her.
