Eva woke alone, frowning she looked around for Gabriel. He wasn’t there. But then her eyes alighted on the white orchid on the pillow next to her. She smiled and held it to her as she got up and went to the bathroom. She turned on his shower and smiled even wider at the assortment of manly smelling soaps and shampoos. She wrapped a black fluffy towel around her and dug through her bag until she found her own shampoo and toothbrush. She stepped under the spray, moaning when the hot water soothed her delightfully sore body. She was sore in places she never been before and glad of it. She finished washing her hair quickly; deciding to use his body wash. Wanting his scent all over her she lathered twice. Having brushed her teeth she got out of the shower and dried off. She wiped the day old mascara from under her eyes and splashed her face with a toner, and then reached for her body lotion smoothing it in slow circles over her body. Eva turned her head when she heard Gabriel coming up the stairs. Her vision narrowed and her body heated when she saw him. He was wearing a pair of flannel drawstring pants that rode low on his hips, and nothing else. He gave her a petulant look, but she hardly noticed because he crossed his arms, his tattoo stretching over his powerful bicep. She shivered and slowly let her eyes follow the muscles in his abdomen down to where they disappeared beneath his pants. “You showered already?” Eva shrugged and walked slowly to him. She trailed her fingers over his belly and up over his crossed arms. “I did.”

Gabriel saw that hungry look blossom on her face and cleared his throat in effort to swallow. “I made breakfast. Are you hungry?” Eva shook her head and slid her hands down his hips, under his pants and Gabriel sucked in his breath when her hands stroked his suddenly rigid shaft. “I want you Gabriel. Right. Now.” She enuciated the last two words clearly and let her towel slither to the floor. He licked his lips as her hand firmed around him stepping closer and pressed her breasts against his crossed arms. He was powerless to deny her. He hauled her up and she wrapped her legs around his hips. Gabriel could feel the heat of her scalding his belly, the incredible slickness that flowed for him. Her hands held his cheeks and she kissed him mischievously, fleeting kisses that made him groan. She was teasing him! He’d show her. He turned and shoved her against the wall and she laughed with fevered delight. Gabriel claimed her mouth just as roughly, swallowing her moan. He impatiently shoved his pants down and lowered her even as he savagely entered her welcoming body.

Eva threw her head back, a smile of desire on her face. He slammed up into her wringing gasps and moans from her he bent his head and took her breast in his mouth, pulling and nipping. He trailed hot open mouthed kissed over her chest growling in delirium as the first tiny spasms gripped her. He gripped her shoulders and pulled her down even as he thrust up, not allowing her to move away from him. Her fingers pressed into his shoulders and she gasped; he shoved himself deeper into the haven of her velvety warmth. Again and again until she gave a broken sob and flew apart in his arms. She milked him with endless shuddering contractions and he swore his toes curled as he pushed into her those last few times. His lips found her cheek and he leaned against her panting as he slowly let her feet touch the floor. He groaned when he slid from her body.

They stood there shaking; brutal animalistic sex would do that to you every time. “Eva?” He wrapped his arms around her as she continued to shake with little tremors. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to be so rough.” Her head fell back over his arms and she grinned, pulling her bottom lip between her teeth and tried to frown at him. Failing miserably. “You animal.” She accused playfully. He laughed assured that she was unhurt, and kissed her soothingly. “I think you blew my head off.” Eva pushed her fingers into his hair, as though searching. “No, still there, maybe the other one.” He caught her hands before they could do any more damage. “Don’t you even think about it. Greedy minx. Put some clothes on before I loose my mind.” He took her lips in a kiss and smacked her gently on the butt making her arch into him with a squeal. “Hey!” she said. “Clothes now, me cold shower. We have practice remember?” She scowled at him. “Fine, spoil sport.” But then she smiled and kissed him again, a smooth melding of lips. “Good morning.” Gabriel laughed at her low greeting and kissed her forehead. “An excellent morning.”

Eva looked out the window, winter was fast approaching. The skies growing grey, making ready to belch fat flakes of snow. She smiled at the thought of her and Gabriel, curled up on the couch drinking coffee and watching the snow fall. Her hands stilled as she pulled her pants up. When had she started that? Thinking of them here in this house as a couple OFF the ice? Obviously he cared about her; otherwise he wouldn’t have let her stay here, in his home and in his bed in the face of her crisis. But for how long would this explosive sexual attraction between them last? How long before some beautiful woman threw herself at him and snared his attention? Would he cast her aside? Or… “Eva?” She turned her head startled; he was looking at her curiously as he toweled his unruly hair. She smiled guiltily. “Sorry, I was thinking.” She turned back to dig in her bag searching for a sports bra. She pulled it on and felt him come up behind her, pressing a kiss to her shoulder as his around came around her. “You sure you’re okay?”

He sounded so worried; it turned her heart over and made her fear loosing him so much more. “I am.” She lied. “I was just thinking that I have to go back in that locker room today.” Which was partially the truth. He hugged her harder. “I won’t say I’m not scared. Because I am, but I’m more angry. I feel violated that someone followed us like that. Taking our picture!” Eva found that it actually was the truth. Just not the only one. Gabriel shared Eva’s anger. “Don’t worry, I’ll be there and so will Adrian . We won’t let anything else happen to you. I’m sure the security has been doubled by now.” Eva nodded. “I know.” She laid her head back on his shoulder and smiled at him, hoping to God he didn’t see right through her. She laid her hand on his freshly shaven jaw. “Thank you.” He turned his face into her palm and kissed it. “You’re welcome.” He stepped away and walked into his closet.

They both finished dressing and after a minor tug of war, Gabriel took her bag along with his and held her hand all the way down to the kitchen. He’d made her French toast, eggs and bacon. There was a pitcher of orange juice on the wooden island, all waiting for them. “Wow you really did make breakfast.” She said, immensely impressed. His brows rose as he poured her a glass of juice. “You thought I was joking?” He was smiling, but Eva could hear an underlying tone. He was wondering if she was going to bash his attempt. Eva grinned and put her arms around his waist. “You made me breakfast.” She purred and kissed him, tasting the tangy citrus. “Yeah.” “No one, other than Francesca, has ever cooked me breakfast. Thank you.” Gabriel smiled, boyishly delighted. But then he frowned slightly, his penetrating gaze sweeping her face. “You must have known some shity people Eva.” She shrugged and nipped a piece of bacon. “The bane of being a spoiled rich girl. Shity people come with the territory. Thankfully you aren’t one of them.”

Gabriel smiled at the use of the word shity coming from her wee little mouth. It was adorable. They ate and laughed over breakfast, and just like everything else they did together, it fit. It felt right that Eva was here, in his house. In his kitchen arguing with him over washing dishes, he threw his hands up and let her perform the womanly chore. He saw the pleasure she took from winning the argument, and sat watching her move around like she already belonged there. She finished and let him take her bag this time as they walked to his car. She waited for him to open the door, which made him smile. Finally she was getting used to being treated the right way.
