Chapter 11

Tay sat in her living room surronded by Dee's friends and manager, along with Decetive Reynolds and Decetive Jones. They had checked out and bagged each of the boxes and took her statement, they were just here now to discuss things with Dee and his manager abour the press and what they could do to find the person behind this mess.
"You know,"Tay announced, "Everything was fine until I agreed to go on this date tonight with you Dee." She told everyone in the room.
There was silence.
"What do you mean by that, Ms. Walker," Decetive Reynolds asked.
"This had never happened before today, and I accepted a dinner invitation with Dee for 9:40, both incidents happened between 9 and 9:40, so maybe it isn't me they want to scare but him. I mean, why target me, I only own a store. . . Oh my god, my store!" Tay yelled as she got up from the couch, "If I got things here, who's to say they don't do something to my store, can I leave, I want to go and check it out."
"Taylor, I can get someone to go over there." Dee told her and then he glanced at 2 of his friends. They got up and left right away.
"okay, but what I said, could be right, right?"
"Yes, you could be, he is famous whereas you are not. Who knew about the date or knows about taylor?"Dectetive Jones stated.
"Just my management and security team, maybe one or two friends, but no one else. At least none that I know of, anyone could of talked or been over heard on the phone"
"Great, a needle in a hay stack"
"Any other information that might help us, maybe it's a crazy girlfriend or ex girlfriend?" Reynolds asked Dee.
"Nope, no girlfriend or ex's, I haven't had that for years," Dee stated while he stared at Tay.
"One night stand, gone bad."
"Not for at least a year on that one too."
"Are you a monk"
"Ha, no, just been busy and looking for Taylor."
"I see, well how about a fan, maybe"
"None, that I can think of, you would have to talk to my public relations director, they handle all my fan mail and everything else, but I haven't heard of anything. Ben, have you?"
"Nope, they haven't brought anything to my attention."
"Well can you give me there number, maybe there has been something but they just haven't thought it was bad."
"Sure."
"Well, we'll get out of here, if anything comes to mind or something else comes up, please notify us immediately." Jones announced as they moved to the door.
"I definately will," Tay announced from where she sat on the couch as the dectetives left the house. Dee closed the door behind them, then went and sat on the couch next to Tay. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and stroked her hair.
"Everything will be alright, baby, I promise." He told her.
"Dee, we have to go over the press release among other things," Ben told him.
"Not right now, we don't, I'm supposed to be on a date, at this moment," Dee told him, glaring across the room at him, "And we don't need to go over the press release, I know what I am going to say and I will do it tomorrow morning, the other things, you already know how i feel about that. We are here for a month, that's the end of it, I need a break from everything, I've told you that."
"Alright, I'm heading back to the hotel." Ben said then left.
"Thank God," Dee said as he glanced at his 3 friends that were left, "Is he just irritating me or everyone else?" He asked them.
"Everyone," Mike responded, "what do you want us to do?"
"Go get us something to eat. . . you hungry, Tay?"
"Actually, yes," Tay replid.
"For?"
"Pizza, pepperoni pizza."
"Alright. . . Mike, go get Pizza from where ever. Anything else, baby?"
"No, well movies, I guess, if we're all just going to be here." Tay told him.
"Sure, movies too Mike."
"Alright, I'll be back."

Mike left along with one other friend, leaving Dee and Tay with the only one left, his name was Isaac. He happened to be Dee's real friend from home. He knew about Taylor and there relationship, so this was no surprise to him that Dee was so protective of her. Hell, he was the one that was with him the last time they talked on the computer, he came and got Dee from the hotel, after she had disappeared and he was the one that helped him find her. He knew that Dee hadn't read the whole report on her when they got it from the PI, but he had read it. He knew about everything, including the baby. He didn't hate her, though; she was still the best thing that had ever happened to his best friend. He hoped that things will work out for them; he knew what Dee's plans were.

He watched them while they sat on the couch and whispered to each other, they seemed perfect for each other. Dee's arm was around her shoulders and he continued to touch her hair as they spoke. Her hand was on his stomach, pulling at the fabric now and then. She seemed nervous, but comfortable. There was love in there eyes as they looked at each other and small smiles on there faces as they talked about what each had been doing since the hotel incident. It was amazing how well they fit together even when they had not seen or spoken to each other in 8 years. Isaac decided that kind of love was a once in a lifetime opportunity and he hoped that he would be able to find it some time in the future.

Dee and Tay sat and talked about Tay's schooling and how she decided to open a store. Dee talked about how he was finally found and became a star. It was a rocky road, but he was glad he did it, except now he was tired and needed a rest from all the concerts and fans and everything else. He was doing the show at her store then taking a month off, the only reason why he was doing it at her store was because of her, it worked both ways, he got to see her, she got to see him, he got to do what he loved; perform, and Tay got sales for the day. They shared funny stories about things that had happened. Neither one mentioned the last time that they had seen each other or what would happen now that they had a month together.

Neither questioned how easy it was to be together, when they had only spent a few hours in person together, it was just magical, like it was meant to be. Both pretty much ignored Isaac as he sat on the couch watching television and periodically glancing out the window to make sure there was nothing out there.

After an hour, Mike came back with the movies and pizza, Isaac got up and went into the kitchen with him and Dominic. A couple seconds later he came back in the living room with a box of pizza, napkins, soft drinks, and the bag of movies. He put them all on the coffee table and left the room again, leaving Dee and Tay in peace.

“What should we watch,” Dee asked Tay as he leaned forward to look what they had picked out.
“Anything good, funny, nothing gruesome, I don’t think I could handle something like that right now.” Tay replied.
“Good thing they didn’t get anything like that, we have How to lose a guy in 10 days, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Die Hard.” Dee said with a smile.
“Oh, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, I haven’t seen that one yet.” Tay told him as she opened the box of pizza, “Ohhh god, this looks good.” She exclaimed.
“Alright, I can just put it in, not funny things?”
“Yep, I made sure of it, you know how un-technological I am.”
“Yea, I know.” He said laughing as he got up and slipped the DVD into the player, then came back and grabbed a slice of pizza. They settled down to watch the movie, eventually during the evening Isaac, Mike, and Dominic came back into the living room and kept watch. About 11, Tay fell asleep.
