To turn and gaze on that dread pass once more. Whence no man yet came ever out alive
His hands were bandaged. He wore a wrinkled pair of gray slacks two sizes too big with the cuffs rolled up and a long piece of rope for a belt.
Tighe came to realize a great many other thing when he awoke the following morning. Just from the dry air that blew in through the opened window to his left, the Fae realized he no longer was in England. Or anywhere close to the far northern hemisphere.
A mindless lunge off the brass bed let Tighe know of the dull pain of sore muscles and the floor was made of dull copper colored wood. A panic-stricken look around his surroundings revealed a brief glimpse of the owner of the room and their world.
A fluffy pillow with a deep impression where Tighe’s head once lay sat propped on top of a quilt of muted colors. Under the window sat a night stand where an earthen bowl full of water lay. A large trunk rested at the foot of the bed. Two rifles were situated in a far corner while a shrine dominated the wall next to him.
Had the doors been closed, at first glance it would have appeared to be a simple red oak china hutch. But the double doors were open, two stick of incense were lit before two memorial tablets. Tighe read the names that were written in the Fae tongue.
Sharla Ganiron-Abracomas-Kimura and Kimura Tokuhara
“I was wondering when you’d wake up” Royal said suddenly appearing in the doorway. Tighe let out a startled scream as his sister calmly stepped in carrying a tray of food and set it on her bed.
“Where are we?” he asked crawling up and sat down on the bed next to the tray of food.
“My house in Santo Leonard.” She replied sitting down on the other side of the tray. “Before he hid himself away for the night, Master Karnik said it was okay to bring you here.”
“How long have I been out?”
“A day and a little change. Dagda was pleasant enough to drop us off before he left this realm.” She answered before smirking, “He seemed to of felt bad about something. I wonder what?”
Tighe smiled sheepishly, “I do wonder.”
“Master Karnik wants you to return to the châteaux.” Royal told him solemnly. Tighe sighed and began picking at the food his sister brought for him.
“He ordered me to notify him as soon as you awoke.”
“So have you?”
“...Not yet”
“Why can’t we just...hide out here? Or run away?”
“Because one: Master Karnik knows where I live. Two: Danu has the power to track any person with Fae blood and will use it to make us keep our vows.” Royal responded.
“I wonder if anyone is laughing.” Tighe asked distantly. “At times such as this, someone should be laughing. But there isn’t any. Why?”
Royal saw this for what it was, a way for him to escape. She sighed silently and hugged her older brother.
“It’s merely quiet, fraello. ” she moved the tray of food onto the nightstand then tenderly guided Tighe onto his back and tucked him in as his eyes fluttered close.
“Let it ease back into sweet dreams.”
Before she left the room, Royal looked back at her slumbering brother before straightening her shoulders and marched strode back into the living room where her master waited.
He lounged on a sofa that more than made up for it's lack of elegance in comfort, his leather boots squeaking against the thick, soft leather every time he moved and did not bother to hide a smug grin as his servant entered the room. This was turning out to be much better than he'd anticipated. He stretched, lazily and flicked his long hair back. "Well?"
"It seems to me he needs more time, Master." Royal replied as she went and knelt at his feet. "His mind is already cracking at the stress of recent events. If pushed any further, he'll end up as an empty shell and I assume you will not like your new prize to end up like those nameless others."
Karnik laughed. "A nice try." He ran sharp fingernails through her scalp. However, I found hidden depths."
“I see.” Royal replied evenly. “Shall I wake him now? Or will you allow him more time to rest?”
He smirked, and twisted her hair around his fingers, pulling it sharply. "I'll wake him when I want him."
“Yes, Master.” Royal replied letting the pain of having her hair pulled pass through her without a hint of pain on her face. She lowered her eyes and asked “Are you here about news of the Native American necromancers I recently convey to you?”
Karnik relaxed against the couch, still toying with her hair. Perhaps it was just as well she was of no interest to him as a toy, her other skills were very useful. "Yes. They are to be eliminated."
“Then they all will crowd the gates of death.” She said with a faint smile on her face. It was the only real thing she enjoyed about her oath to her master.
Like most Fae, Royal felt necromancers were defilers of nature’s cycle. What was dead must stay dead and remain in their resting place. Not marching about as slaves at their false gods’ desire. To kill just one was liken to a knight slaying the evil dragon in a fairytale. To kill a group of necromancers, well, the young human/fae was practically drooling at the opportunity.
Then her mind did a Fae leap and went straight to Tighe. She couldn’t leave him alone with her Master!
“I mean no disrespect but I don’t trust you alone with Tighe while I go off to kill necromancers.” Royal told Karnik praying to the Lady he wouldn’t get mad at her. “Who’s going to chaperon while I do your bidding?”
Karnik chuckled. "Your concern is touching. Who do you feel is fitting for this task?"
"My judgment on such things is unimportant." Royal replied immediately sensing the hidden fury behind her master's casual words. "It is you who is suitable for a choice such as this."
Karnik narrowed his eyes at her, searching for signs of humoring or mocking. "And what brought you to that conclusion?" He said sharply.
She knew what he was really asking but her Fae mind had her speaking before she knew it, “I suggested Tighe stay here for more time to get used to becoming one of your men and you said no. Thinking back, I see it a wise decision and have decided to trust your judgment concerning caring for Tighe while I am away.”
Royal looked up at him and cocked her head, pulling her hair loose from his fingers, “I find it unsuitable for my master to tend to my fraello’s needs. You shouldn’t lower yourself so.”
Karnik grudgingly admired this new tactic, and his minion did render a very valid point, despite blatant ulterior motives. But for now, he would let her have it, and watch her sweat. "Very well. I choose Maynard and Arun. He can't be any safer." Karnik grinned unpleasantly.
Royal nodded when inside she was cringing. “Can’t wait.” She said blandly, the only indication of her real mood.
Karnik flipped his hands at her. "Then go and kill necromancers!"
With a brief bit of hesitant, Royal rose to her feet and bowed before vanishing. She was sure she made an impression since she never before displayed an ability to teleport. Only now that Tighe was within her range could she finally get an unconscious boost from a more pure blooded Fae and slip between worlds.
Karnik frowned as Royal vanished. He had not known she could teleport like her relatives. He began to think upon the reasons she would have to hide it and it obviously all came down to her soft sweet brother.
"Arun! Maynard!" He yelled.
" Dawling , there's no need to shout." came a voice from outside. A moment later came in a figure in full mourning attire. A short black veil was over a masculine face while an ankle length black dress revealed feminine curves. If one looked closely, they could see the person was bald.
Arun padded silently up and gave a small bow to his master and stood there, attempting to block out the chatter from Maynard.
Karnik smirked at the chatty vampire. "Who knows where you are at? Besides, I have a task for the both of you." He chortled a little.
“Notta person knows where we toddled off to.” May drawled. “Ah heard you got yourself a new play thing here and ah just couldn’t help comin’ on over.”
Karnik raised his eyebrows. "I have indeed. I have the most interesting toy: the brother of Royal." His eyes glimmered with mirth. "And you two are to look after him today." May practically squealed in delight and waved his gloved hands in excitement. "Ah bet he's fab prime piece. Fairies are always prime cuts of manly meat."
Karnik sniggered. "Well, he's definitely got balls." And he only knew that because he'd had his mouth around them.
Beside May, Arun silently groaned. Why him?
Again May flapped his arms in excitement, "Tell me, tell me I can have a tiny peek at 'im. I promise to keep my eager hands to myself." Then he winked "Wouldn't wanna have a show without Master's permission."
Karnik allowed a smile to play around his lips. "Of course not." Some lessons had to be learned the hard way.
"The puzzle is this," Karnik said with a gleam in his eye, "of how Royal wishes her little brother to be alive upon her return."
Arun closed his eyes and opened them again. Some days he just wished he hadn't gotten out of bed.
May chortled, "Mmm, perhaps she prefers psychologically? Physical wounds are so much easier to heal."
After a brief pause to think, he continued. "Or maybe she desires her brother’s body in one piece. You did say the boy had some vigor. "
Karnik smirked. "I do believe she meant the later."
"That's marvelous! Shall we all go meet your nummy new delight, Master?" Maynard cried as he gleefully clapped his hands.
Karniks smirk broadened on his face. "I think we can do one better. We shall take him back to the house."
“Absolute genius! ” the cross-dressing fiend exclaimed.
Arun shifted his weight. He had no desire to annoy his highly volatile 'Master' but he did not want to face Royal’s wrath either. "Aren't we supposed to keep him alive?"
Karnik gave Arun a blank stare that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. He shrugged, "Just checking."
"Somebody's scared of a little fairy." May said in a sing song tone of voice before busting up in giggles. "Forget the girl, go on an' get our other little fairy so we can take 'im home like the Master said."
Then he began examining his gloved fingernails, "I would go an' help but I just had my nails done."
Arun bristled as Karnik laughed. "I am not afraid - !"
He flung his hands up in the air and stomped off; eventually locating the little fairy curled up in the huge bed, as lithe and light as Royal. But possibly not as tough if he was judging about the squeak he let out when Arun scooped him up and bundled him over one shoulder to transport him back to the house.
"Put me down!" Tighe screamed kicking his feet and pounding on the muscle man that abruptly woke him up. "Baka yaro! Kalf! Mafkees!" he shouted and began calling Arun a few more names in the book.
Arun ignored him. He wasn't even half as annoying as May, nor as vicious as Royal. He could see why the Master liked him though. Poor kid.
Karnik looked on in amusement.
As Arun walked past where Royal kept her guns, Tighe grabbed one, flipped the barrel down and fired it straight at the back of the bigger man’s knee. When Arun went down, Tighe rolled the opposite way, spun and brought the gun up to his shoulder ready to fire again. Arun cursed. That hurt like a bitch and hurt his pride more. "That's it, you little rat!"
Karnik chortled with glee. "I think I'll keep him." He commented to himself.
Arun quickly dug the bullet out of his leg, keeping an eye on the little fairy with the amazing steady gun arm. Once the bullet was out, his leg started to heal, a main advantage to being a vampire.
Arun leapt at the Fae, aiming for the gun, keeping the shots fired at him away from his heart and his head. He landed where the fairy had been but he wasn't there now. Arun whipped around and got shot in the stomach. The little bastard moved fast!
"I don't know who you are but the next time I use this noisy thing, I'm aiming for your head." Tighe warned knowing deep inside the gun wouldn't fire again. For his Fae heritage making it nigh to impossible to use modern human instruments.
Arun snarled, more certain than ever the fairy was out of ammo. He rushed at him.
Tighe gasped and slipped between realms, reappeared behind the raging vampire and slammed the useless gun across the back of his head.
Arun whipped around and grabbed him, feeling vindictive satisfaction as his hand crushed the little fey in his grip, only to curse again as his hand was left grasping thin air.
Tighe reappeared landing hard on his butt onto the bed. He quickly rolled off and put the bed between him and Arun.
"Would you mind telling me who in Unseelie hell you are? I kinda like to know who I'm defending my life against."
"I am Arun." And before he had finished the sentence he moved, throwing a metal knife. He wasn't sure what it was made from. But Fae were supposed to be weak against iron.
A quick dive allowed Tighe to avoid having the knife catch him right in the thigh. Instead the steel blade struck exactly where he was stabbed by Karnik, pinning his hand onto the bed.
“Looks like our fairy got his wings snipped.” May chortled as Tighe swore under his breath.
Karnik sniffed at the delicious blood on the air. "Let us skip straight to step three." For once Arun agreed. He was all out of pity.
"St-step 3?" Tighe stammered recognizing the voice which spoke. His eyes grew wide as he watched Karnik stalk towards him with an unfamiliar man behind him. He looked up at Arun with fear and tried removing the knife from the bed with little success.
Karnik knelt gracefully in front of him. "Don't worry little one. You liked step three well enough."
May covered his mouth with mock surprise as Tighe began tugging on the knife harder, heedless of the sound of the blade scraping against a spring. His breaths came in gasps, his frightened eyes never leaving Karnik’s face.
“Master’s fairy is a naughty little boy.” He exclaimed before giggling.
Arun picked a few more bullets out of him. For all he seemed weak... "And a bit of revenge." He felt a rush of satisfaction as the little fairy paled.
Karnik smiled, almost indulgently. "Very, very, naughty." With each word he moved closer to Tighe, just to watch him squirm.
Tighe screamed like a girl and scrambled as far as his pinned hand would allow him. He began crying and shielded himself the best he could with his one free arm.
Karnik grabbed the arm and twisted it around, to the point where the bone was stretched, and his muscles were pulled. "Are you going to be a good?"
Tighe looked up at him with wild frightened eyes and begged for him to just leave him alone
"Dieu einde, tereden! Douzo loisirs mae." he whimpered.
Karnik leaned close and whispered into the Fae’s pale ear. "I like it when you beg me. For that I will give you exquisite pleasure to match the exquisite pain."
May began to toy with Tighe’s pinned hand. He patted it and rubbed his face against it all the while Tighe whimpered and cried.
“Why don’t you just kill me?” He hiccupped as his legs went out from under him and he felt the hopelessness of his situation.
Arun smiled. "Why would be do that?"
Karnik licked a trail over Tighe’s neck, before biting around his nipple.
The Fae gasped and unconsciously thrust himself closer to the vampire's mouth. His eyes slipped shut and fingers on his trapped hand twitched.
Maynard hummed in delight and took one of said fingers into his mouth and began to suck it as he would like to do to another part of Tighe's body.
Arun raised his eyebrows, at how eager Tighe’s body was. He gently ran his nails down Tighe’s side, tracing the delicate little face, avoiding the teeth, whilst Karnik continued to lick and nibble at Tighe’s chest.
"What do you think we should do with him?" Karnik said, with mock concern.
Tighe whimpered when May took his fingers between his teeth so he could speak.
"I'd like to taste some fairy-licious meat." He told then licked the junction of the two trapped fingers with a wink.
Karnik giggled, and started downwards, ripping Tighe’s trousers off with quick efficiency, and smiled. "Put him on his knees."
Arun moved and unpinned Tighe’s hand from the bed, cleaning the knife on the sheets, before sticking it back in the headboard.
He went limp from the pain and terror. Tighe’s mind screamed at him to move as May nibbled on his freed hand while he was positioned on his knees. While Arun awaited his next command, the bald vampire began licking up Tighe’s blood, sticking his tongue in the wound to lap up more delicious elixir.
Karnik moved so he was behind Tighe, licking his way down to his butt, probing his arse hole with this tongue. He bit down on his own tongue quite deliberately, letting bloody flow liberally into the little Fae’s body.
In the meanwhile, Arun slipped off the side of bed, and urged Tighe’s head near to his crotch.
Maynard giggled as Tighe moaned as he shook his head in denial and squeezed his eyes shut.
Before he slunk down under Tighe's body, May used the Fae's bloodied hand to divest Arun of his pants.
Karnik chuckled into Tighe’s butt, and decided there was nearly enough blood to ease his way. He slipped a finger inside and wiggled it, chuckling at the Fae’s response.
Arun eased himself outta his pants and gently chucked Tighe under the chin.
Tighe snapped at Arun just as Karnik added another finger and May fleeting licked his half hard cock.
The Fae gasped and went stiff, caught between sensations. If he thrust down, he would suffer the loss of Karnik’s fingers probing his ass. If he arched back into Karnik, May could no longer lap at his manhood. He let out a frustrated groan.
Arun was expecting some kind of toothy retribution, so he quickly jerked his hips backwards, out of Tighe’s reach, before his eyes glazed over at the twin sensations. Karnik quickly added another finger before Tighe was quite ready and grinned at the noises he made. "Which do you like best?"
“Eat shit and—“ Tighe managed to get out before Maynard took him into his mouth. He cried out rolled to his side to escape but both vampires moved with him and resumed their ministrations. Maynard even lifted his quivering leg and pulled it onto his shoulder.
Arun gently pulled Tighe’s face up towards him and tested the waters by sticking his tongue in the Fae’s mouth and kissing him soundly.
Karnik picked up a likely looking object near the bed and eased it into the fairy. "Know what this is?"
Tighe screamed into Arun’s mouth as something hard, cool and unyielding invaded his body. He helplessly kicked out his leg, knocking Maynard back and sending the man’s veil off his head. May merely laughed, pinned one leg underneath him and carried on sucking him off, replacing the leg back onto his shoulder and held it still.
Karnik sniggered and moved it in and out, slowly at first, slowly building up speed. "Still no guesses?"
Arun eased off his mouth. "Any last words?"
“Go to hell.” He gasped fighting the waves of pleasure shooting through him. May chuckled, and then began to hum, driving Tighe into painful hardness.
He wanted to torture him longer, so the bald man grabbed the first thing near him and tied it to the base of Tighe’s cock. May chuckled again when the Fae let out a rough hiss of pain from the light burn of the rope on tender skin.
Arun gently drew Tighe down to his cock. "If you're a good boy, we might let you come."
Karnik decided Tighe had had enough preliminary work and so withdrew the impromptu dildo and waited for Tighe to see it...
A blanket of cold engulfed his body. His pupils dilated until almost black swallowed up every bit of color in his eyes. His hardened member refused to feel the tiny flecks of pain as Maynard nipped the skin there. Tears escaped from his eyes.
A shudder ran through him while his mind refused to acknowledge the information his eyes were giving it. There, splattered with blood, cracked from the harsh treatment it received, was Royal’s memorial stone to their mother.
Tighe came to realize a great many other thing when he awoke the following morning. Just from the dry air that blew in through the opened window to his left, the Fae realized he no longer was in England. Or anywhere close to the far northern hemisphere.
