Dark Eden
Eleven
This one didn't change much from the last revision. I may just be
tired... Ah, well, at least I updated today! ^^
eheh... no one saw that... *waves magic wand and corrects
something*
“You what?”
“I told him you were a girl so you wouldn’t get
caught.”
Tahsu couldn’t even take the moment to try to look
remorseful. He had just gotten Tsukasa fired! Couldn’t he feel
something?
“Why the… why?” Sho managed to get out finally.
“I have my reasons.” Tahsu avoided Sho’s intent
look as he tried to register what was happening. His own best friend
had…
“Damn it, you tell me your so called reasons.”
“I can’t,” Tahsu avoided looking at Sho, his
eyes couldn’t settle anywhere else for more than a second, but
he refused to look into his friend’s eyes.
“Yes you can. Do you really hate him that much?”
“I don’t hate him.” Tahsu snapped.
“Then you did it to hurt me!” Sho snapped back.
“I didn’t!”
“Then tell me why! JUST TELL ME DAMN IT!”
Tahsu clenched his jaw and looked like he was going to hold out
for a long moment before he finally spoke in a level tone, “He
asked me too. Alright,…I told you? What the fuck are you
doing..?”
Sho blinked as he unconsciously picked up his things, too numb…
god he was so numb… “… going home, I …
need to think.”
He left without saying anything more.

It was the day before all over again. Except now he didn’t
feel like yelling, he just felt so blank he didn’t know what
was going on, not really. Once Tsukasa saw the emotionless mask that
faced him Sho was pulled inside and gently manoeuvred to the couch.
“What’s wrong? Sho? You haven’t moved or said
anything in like an hour,” Tsukasa muttered, barely looking up
from the notepad he was writing on. Notes for his newest job as a
professor, he had said.
“Tahsu told me.” he continued to stare at the carpeted
floor beneath his feet, “He told me what happened.”
“…and…?”
“Why?” he finally looked up, “why would you risk
us getting caught?”
“I knew we wouldn’t.”
“What if someone else walked in? What if a teacher had of!”
Tsukasa sighed, placed his notepad on the coffee table and settled
beside Sho on the couch, “Tahsu said no one else would see us,
I trust him to keep his word in such matters.”
“Why Tahsu? Or why do it anyways?” Sho could barely
contain himself any more.
“Because he could, and because I love you.”
Sho growled, “You really like throwing that word around.”
“Shhh, don’t get mad… if it’s the truth
why should it go unsaid?” the man nuzzled Sho’s neck
hungrily.
“…” it felt kind of creepy suddenly, “I
better go.”
“Oh, come on.”
“I told you no sex,” Sho pushed away from Tsukasa and
the couch. He just. He had to get away.
“I wasn’t planning on sex. Is that all you think
about?”
“…no! I think about lots of other things.”
“Like?”
“Like… university. What I’m going to be when I
get out of school, that sort of stuffs!”
“Stuffs?”
“Shut up.”
Tsukasa stared at Sho and Sho stared back at Tsukasa. The silence
was drawn out between them until Tsukasa finally murmured, “Why
don’t we go out for lunch?”
“Plan on keeping your hands to yourself?”
“I said I’d wait until you wanted to… or do you
have a bad memory?”
“A very bad one. Got a problem with that?”
“No.”
“Good.”
The conversation had become a snarling match, and both were
feeling more than awkward as they put on their shoes and went out.

Hardly a word was spoken until Tsukasa pulled up to Sho’s
driveway after school. The lunch and afternoon had been an official
date, but both were still fuming over their nonsensical argument.
With a silent sigh Sho looked out at his house and then back at
Tsukasa. School would be over soon, and then where would they be?
Different sides of Japan?
“Aren’t you getting out?”
“… what’s going to happen to you now?”
“What do you mean?”
“Without your job…”
“You’re memory really is shotty, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, sometimes… what?”
“I have a second job,” Tsukasa rapped Sho on the head
lightly, “And I have the option of taking up tenure at a
university next year. I’ll be fine.”
“Don’t do thaaat.”
“Get the hell out of my car you punk,” Tsukasa growled
with a grin.
“It’s hard to take you seriously when you’re
smiling like that.”
“OUT!”
“Okay, okay, don’t mape me!” Sho teased as he
made to get out of the car.
Tsukasa grabbed the back of Sho’s jacket and pulled him back
into the car, “What does ‘mape’ mean?”
“Something that involves raping and maiming. Can I go now?”
Both of them rolled their eyes as Sho righted himself and slipped
out of the car and up his driveway.
