To Dance With A Devil in The Pale Moonlight

"Zara." Lust looked over at the two inch Dark Pixi. "It is time."

"Are you sure? This is going to hurt."

Zara didn't want to pre-wound them. More specifically, she didn't want to pre-wound Lust. She could care less about Strife, but she couldn't hurt him all the same. He was Lust's brother, which was rare for demons to have siblings like that, so he protected Strife.

"Hurry, Zara. Zanhmere will be arriving soon." Lust encouraged her to do it. Strife wasn't so sure that he wanted this. "Zara!"

"Okay! Stop pushing me!"

She let a blast emanate from her hand. It sent the two brothers flying back into a tree. They were charred and burnt black now. Strife actually took the blunt of the blast because of the way she aimed it, but she didn't say anything.

"Ouch." Strife coughed, a black puff of smoke stemming from his mouth. "That hurt." He pushed himself up against Lust so he could stand. "You okay?"

"Fine." Lust grimaced. "The things we do for power, hm?"

"I'm going now." Zara flicked her wings up. "Keep to the plan." She spoke as she left.

"Easy for her to say, she wasn't blasted with a bolt of energy." Strife grumbled. " Let's go."

He started to limp off towards the clearing. Lust followed him and nodded. He chuckled at his brother's grumbling. "Look at it this way. It is self sacrifice for our selves."

"Somehow, Brother, I don't find that very funny."

"Shh!" Lust knelt down and pointed. "Over there. There are the Pixi's. They are waiting."

"Where is the girl?" Strife knelt down next to him. "I don't see her."

"She is coming." He shuddered when he looked at her young nubile body. "Do you think Zanhmere uses her for lustful desires? I would." He licked his lips.

"Focus, brother." Strife issued his brother a quick slap to the back of the head "Job first." (like lust can actually focus on other things, lol)

Trinity smiled as she came over the little hill. Her feet pushed through the snow. Zanhmere gave her boots and a thicker dress to wear. He had gone back to his palace when Trinity was asleep to fetch them. He was only gone for a few seconds, so it was alright.

"Don't go too far, Trinity." Zanhmere called out to her. "Stay in the valley."

"Okay, Master!" She giggled, then gasped at a colorful flash in front of her. "Oh? What's that?"

She started to follow it. There were suddenly more colors moving around her. She blinked and jumped back. One of them touched her and it stung! Her arm was bleeding.

"Hey!" She cried out. "That hurts! Stop!"

They didn't listen. They continued to zoom past her.

Trinity screamed again. She started to try and run. A couple blasts of energy burned the ground in front of her, making her leap back. "Master!"

"Now!" Lust was already running out. "Now, Brother!"

Strife ran after him and they pounced in, surrounding the girl. Trinity was pulled into the arms of Strife and her eyes were covered. She was whimpering. Lust snarled and grew to his larger demon self swatting claws at the Pixi's.

"Trinity!" Zanhmere left Zara in a rush. She had stuck to her part of the plan perfectly. Zara flew fast after him. "Trinity!"

He slid to a stop at the top of the hill. He blinked when he saw the two demons at first. Zara panted and flew beside him. She acted just as surprised.

"There are the rogue Pixi's!" Zara pointed. "There, my Lord."

The ones that were told to attack were confused. They heard their queen saying this? There was a demon attacking them? Why couldn't they use anymore magic!? Zanhmere snarled and stalked forward. Before the Pixi's could talk , they were exploding around Lust and Strife. Strife did his part by keeping the girls eyes covered. Lust grunted and fell to the snowy ground burnt and black. He was panting hard. He really was in pain.

"Trinity." Zanhmere swept the girl away from Strife in a quick movement. She was in his arms and hugging him tightly. "Are you alright, Trinity?"

"Master! Those lights hurt me." She trembled. "Those men pushed me away from them."

The demon king snarled as he looked at the three around him. He wasn't a satisfied demon right now.

Lust looked up and cringed. Their plan may not work all of the sudden.

"What happened?" Zanhmere growled. "Tell me, now!"

The three went into their well rehearsed story. Lust was the one chose to speak for he had a way with words. If anyone was going to convince Zanhmere, It would be him .

"Makinna came to us with a plan to get rid of Trinity using Dark Pixi's, which she recruited from Queen Zara's more un-happier subjects." He danced around words. "Upon discovering that this plan was already in motion, we didn't have time to warn you. So, we came to Trinity's protection instead." He looked up quickly "Now before you say anything. Yes, one of us could have come to warn you while the other fought; but, these are dark Pixi's and we are only weakling seventh level demons. By ourselves, we are nothing compared to their powers. We felt that two would fare better. My brother used himself as a shield, whilst I was the sword."

"My Lord!" Mayven spoke and Makinna's body dropped to the ground roughly before them all. Mayven dropped down and landed in a crouched kneel. "I have brought you a traitor."

Makinna was bound and gagged. She struggled to get away, but it was a fruitless attempt. Zara flitted her wings up and moved around to look at everyone better.

"I see." Zanhmere looked down at Makinna. She cringed back in pain just from his stare. "A traitor amongst my ranks. You are a bold one, aren't you ?" He glanced up at Zara. "Looks like were not all immune to these…" He stomped and they heard a painful crunch come from the wings of Makinna. "…Pests."

"Yes, Lord Zanhmere." She looked at him as she fluttered around him. "You took care of my traitors already. I owe for that."

"No." He snarled a little. He hated owing favors. "It would seem that I owe you a favor for your warning."

Trinity trembled in his arms. That tremble reminded him that she was there. Zanhmere was so used to just holding her that it came as second nature to him. He looked to the kneeling Mayven.

"Mayven. You did your job. Take Trinity home. I will join you both later."

"Yes, my Lord ." Mayven stood. Trinity was placed in his hands. "I will take her to Missiva in the palace at once."

She was covered with Zanhmere's cloak now. The Demon king gave such a thing up for only her. The two flamed away leaving only Lust, Strife, Makinna , and Zara.

"First things first." He looked at Makinna. "How do you punish someone who obviously likes pain?" Zanhmere glanced at the Trio of would be heroes. "I have your reward, minions of the seventh level."

"No reward is necessary, my Lord. Our loyalty and very life is reward enough. Albeit as painful as it is at the moment." Lust grimaced. A few Pixi's actually managed to hit him with a couple of bolts, making his injuries worse than Strife's.

"Oh, no, no. No one will say that I, Zanhmere, the king of demons, am an unfair ruler. I have the perfect reward and punishment."

They felt a surge of power rush through them. Their forms shifted from gray to red and both gained height and muscle tone. Wings erupted from their backs. They were both fledgling Entropy, while Makinna's form was different. She had no wings now and her magic was diminished to that of a seventh level demon.

"My Lord?" Lust blinked. "I …" he looked at himself and then Makinna who now had a slave's stone embedded in her forehead.

"Her body is now yours. It can not refuse your commands. You can not, however, kill her." Zanhmere spoke. "She must learn the error of her betrayal."

"By your command, my King." Lust grinned wickedly. He could have some very perverse fun with that girl. "We graciously accept your gift, although, I still believe that no rewards is necessary."

"I suggest," Zanhmere said, tossing the still bound and gagged Makinna at their feet, "that you two leave with your new toy before I change my mind and kill the lot of you!"

The Trio of demons flamed away. Lust and Strife were not fools. They were getting while the getting was good. That just left Zara now. Zanhmere sighed. He hated this part.

"When the time comes and you need my services, you have a marker to call in." He growled. "But! Only one marker. Do not think to abuse it either. I have no issues in recalling what I have given." He looked at her. "Go."

Zara smirked and bowed her head in respect to the demon king. "Thank you." Her body exploded into purple wisps. She was off to her home now.

The great demon stepped into the open of the snow and howled in rage. His wings flared open and he shot into the sky in a burst of flame and black lightning. He needed to kill something. He knew just the place. That little restaurant and inn they went to!

The demon stopped mid air and he blinked. Suddenly a though made his mind reel back. He slammed himself into the mountain. Zanhmere's massive form burned through the snow and rock. He panted and knelt down slowly. Almost losing Trinity caused something to snap inside him. He didn't like the way it made him feel either.

"Trinity." He slowly shifted form to human as he sat there. "Trinity." No, this could not be. She was his pet. "I…"

"My Lord?" A head peeked down through the hole he made. It was Cassandra, one of his lesser minions. What was she doing here? "I know you may get mad at me and I know you might explode and kill me but I..."

"Cassandra? What are you doing here?" He rose from the hole's depth and landed gracefully on the ground. "How did you find me?"

"I felt your pain, my Lord." She was knelt down and her eyes were cast away from him. "I felt you in pain and I had to come."

"Why, Cassandra?" He did not understand the meaning of emotions what so ever. "You risked everything to serve and keep me satisfied?"

"Yes, my Lord." She looked up at him slowly. "Please? What is wrong?"

"I don't know. " Zanhmere looked uncomfortable. "Stand, Cassandra."

"You are not going to ...P...Punish me?"

"No. We are going now."

The two demons faded away. Cassandra touched down on the ground of the ninth gate's land softly. She looked up at the retreating form of Zanhmere. He was walking away to his black palace. She gasped suddenly in realization. Her hand went over her mouth. Cassandra stood there amazed at what just happened. Her eyes were wide with amazement.

"Master!"

"Trinity."

Zanhmere smiled very genuinely when he saw her running towards him. He leaned down and the girl pounced into his huge, waiting arms. She was crying again. She didn't forget everything. She remembered their trip and remembered everything but the pain of being hurt.

"Master." She hugged him tightly. Trinity was shaking. "I…"

Mayven and Missiva were in the hall watching her. They took their king's quick glance as a sign to vacate the premises promptly. He hugged Trinity and slowly walked away from the hall.

"Master, you're crying." Trinity blinked and wiped tears from his cheek. "Master are you okay?"

"I am fine now, Trinity." He leaned into her touch. "I am now."

"Oh." She hugged him again. Her cheek brushed up against the top of his shoulder. He could smell the sweet scent of the shampoos that Missiva used in her hair. "I … am sorry that I…walked off so far."

"No Trinity. I am...s...s…" He grunted. How could he be saying this? He was the king of Entropy demons! He didn't apologize! "I am sorry that I let you get hurt."

"Master?" Trinity raised her head to look into his eyes. "I…You don't have to do that."

"I want...to." He pushed the door to his room open and walked inside with her. It slammed behind them. "Trinity…I…"

"Master?"

"Call me Zanhmere when we are alone."

"Zanhmere? Y…you…but …I…am…"

"It is okay, Trinity. P...please?" He sat on the bed with her and continued to hold her close. The king of Demons just said 'I am sorry ' and ' Please' in one day. "Call me Zanhmere."

"Okay." She smiled. Her cheeks were blushed a cute red now. "Zanhmere?"

"Yes, Trinity?" He lay back with her so she lay beside him. His arm was draped over her.

She sighed in a contented whimper against him. Trinity turned so she could look at him though. Her hand went to his cheek and she stroked it delicately as if he might break. "I love you, Zanhmere." Trinity whispered it and leaned closer. She kissed his lips lightly. "I really do."

That little kiss sent this king of Entropy demons soaring in his mind. She kissed him! She said I love you! He started to hyperventilate. Why!? What was wrong with him!?

"Zanhmere!?" Trinity sat up quickly. "What's wrong?" She saw his cheeks starting to turn as blood red as her hair! That was pretty red. "I…I'm sorry!"

"Trinity."

He choked the words out. She gasped and was suddenly under him. His lips hovered just inches from hers. She felt strange like this. Her eyes met with his. She was growing up despite the use of his elixir. There was a beautiful, petite girl beneath him. She had at least B cup breasts and her body was longer. Instead of four feet she was five. Her hair was also longer and silkier than before. Somehow his desire and passion made her do this.

The Elixir was tied to him and his magic. If he wanted her to be an adult he could make her as such. He didn't consciously do this. Zanhmere raised up to get a better look at her. Trinity was panting and looking between him and her self. The dress she had on was way too short now and didn't fit her correctly. She was eighteen and looking every bit like a goddess laying there with her clothes half ripped away.

"Zanhmere?"

He leaned down and copied her kiss. His hand caressed over her side and she again gasped. He took her breath away. Her hands met with his chest. She trembled still under him. It was not a scared tremble. It was a un sure tremble. She never did anything like this before. When he pulled away he smiled at her. His hand stroked through the long silken tresses of her hair.

"I love you too."

Zanhmere kissed her again. Almost losing her had given him a violent shove into realizing that he could feel. He loved her. He cared about her. For this demon King to realize this was something of a miracle! Entropy demons were born void of emotions yet this one girl was enough to implant them with in one of the most powerful men in all of hell's gates.

"I....Zanhmere."

"Shh. I just want to look at you."

Trinity blushed deeply again. She couldn't understand why she was feeling like this. She was just as new to love and feelings as he was.

"Forever and always?"

" Forever and always , my Trinity."

"Zanhmere?"

"Yes, Trinity?"

"C…Can you kiss me again?" Trinity leaned up. "Please?"

"You don't have to ask me that."

Zanhmere kissed her again. He reveled in her warmth against him. This one girl was enough to make his black heart melt away, at least for her anyways. He would always be the same Zanhmere to every one else. His learning of emotions would only serve to make him a more powerful king. As lust would say, 'Emotions are the way to strike. It is in the understanding of the way a mind works that you can truly administer sweet pain and pleasure beyond the physical.'
