The Power of the Neglected

It has been a couple months since Naruto had moved out and became a genin. Over the months, Naruto and his team would be doing d ranked missions. With each mission, it became clear that team 12 was the best genin team, Konoha had. But one mission they had done was something that no other konoha team had managed to accomplish. Team 12 had managed to get the infamous cat "Tora" in less than a minute and tame it. You see, Tora the cat was an infamous cat throughout all of Konoha that caused trouble for everyone. He steals everyones belongings, breaks things down, makes a mess, and is an overall jerk of a cat. So throughout Konoha's history, even though Tora has been caught and sent back to the land of fire multiple times, he always came back. That is until now as Team 12 was sent to go after the cat. Hokages Office: Team 12 was currently inside the hokage's office and was waiting for their next mission. Satsuki and Yakumo got closer over the months and began to hang out more often. Anko and Rin were chatting about what their team should do next after the mission. And Naruto simply stared into the ceiling. Minato after finishing the last of his paper work began to speak. "Alright everyone, I am glad you are here." Minato said while he stared at Naruto who was still staring at the ceiling. Over the months Minato has been trying to talk to Naruto when ever he had the chance. But it always ended up failing as Naruto would end up leaving. The situation at home was no better as well. Kushina, Mito, and Narumi would all sleep in Naruto's room, Menma and Natsu hated Naruto even more than before, and Naruko was barely home. The Sannin, Kushina and Kakashi had started to train the siblings even more now than before. Although they have gotten stronger, their mental state was worse than ever. But Minato believed that the siblings will eventually get better soon. "Okay everyone, as you all know Tora has escaped." Minato said causing everyone to widen their eyes except for Naruto. Rin and Anko would always have to chase the cat when they were genin, while Satsuki and Yakumo had heard many stories about Tora when they were younger. "You dont mean "The Tora" sensei?" Rin asked a bit hesitantly. Minato sighed as he understood why Rin was a bit hesitant to ask. "I wish I could say no Rin, but it is the Tora you are all thinking about." Minato said. This causes Rin to lower her head down. Anko seeing this begins to try and comfort her. "Well Team 12, your mission is to capture Tora and bring him here." Minato said. This makes everyone aside from Naruto sigh in defeat. "We will do it Minato sensei." Rin said in a defeated tone. Minato smiles at this and begins to dismiss Team 12. "Alright Team 12, you are dismissed." Minato said as everyone began to leave. As everyone left he stared sadly at Naruto who stopped staring at the ceiling and walked out the door. Team 12: Every member or Team 12 was now outside. Naruto, Satsuki, and Yakumo then waited for their orders. "Alright everyone, for our mission we will be wearing these." Rin said as she showed off walkie talkies and gave it to everyone. "Why do we need walkie talkies sensei?" Yakumo asked as she stared at her walkie talkie with a confused expression. "Well Yakumo, Tora is extremely hard to find and even if you do find him, he will be hard to catch. So we will us these walkie talkies to work together to track down and catch Tora." Rin explained making most of them nod. "Then lets begin." Anko said as everyone began to split up. Satsuki and Yakumo were in the shopping district trying to find Tora. Rin and Anko were in the food district and Naruto had found Tora seconds after being given orders. Naruto had found him in a dark alley way as the two stared at each other. Normally Tora would attack those that stared at him but this time around he just sat in place. Naruto slowly walks up to Tora and stretches a his hand out. A few seconds go by as Tora begins to contemplate whether or not to trust Naruto. As Tora thinks even deeper he jumped into Naruto's arms. Naruto then pets him softly and gently as Tora snuggles closer to him. After this Naruto heads to where his team was to show that he had caught Tora. Team 12: Naruto had found Satsuki and Yakumo first as he began to walk around. Satsuki and Yakumo seeing Naruto had ran over to him. To say they were shocked seeing Tora in Naruto's arms so quickly was an understatement as both girls had fallen to the ground in shock. "H-How did you catch him so fast?" Both girls yelled out in shock. Naruto simply shrugs and points to the walkie talkies. Satsuki and Yakumo nod as they picked uo their walkie talkies. "Rin Sensei Anko Sensei, Naruto has caught Tora." Yakumo said still in disbelief. Hearing her words made both jonins widen their eyes and head over to their students location at light speeds. When they reached their students location, they see Tora in Naruto's arms waiting patiently. "WHAAAATTTTTTTT!!" Both jonin yelled out in surprise. Never in the history of Konoha had Tora been caught so quickly and easily. And seeing Tora nit fight back against Naruto was a real shocker as well. Everytime Tora had been caught, the shinobi who caught him would have scrathes, bruises, and covered in blood. "H-How did you catch him so quickly?" Rin and Anko asked loudly. Naruto shrugs and begins to walk towards the hokage tower. "Ill never understand that guy." Satsuki thought in mind. "I wonder if I should use my genjutsu, to get him to talk." Yakumo thought in her mind. "Who is this kid?" Anko thought in her mind, which quickly turned into a devilish smile. Rin was also thinking about Naruto as well. Throughout the months, she had always kept a close eye on him. He was always quiet and reserved. And whenever they would train together, she could tell he would always hold back. Add on to the fact that Naruto had left his family and that he is called a demon, then you get a very intriguing person. As she continued to think even more, the team was nearing the hokage tower. Hokage Tower: Team 12 heads inside the hokage tower which shocked everyone there as they didnt think they would return so quickly. What was even more shocking was seeing Tora resting in Naruto's arm. Never had Tora been so kind to anyone or anything. The woman behind to counter than began to speak up. "I take it you all have completed your mission." The desk lady said as Team 12 nodded their heads in agreement. The desk lady then sighed as she began to get out of the counter. "Follow me." She said as Team 12 followed her orders and went up the stairs and into the hokage office. She then opens the door and begins to speak. "Lord Hokage, Team 12 has arrived." She said as Minato widened his eyes and looked up immediately. There he laid his eyes on Naruto who had Tora in his arms. Never in his 36 years of life had he seen Tora be found so quickly and tamed. A sense of pride had risen up in him as he began to smile. "You may leave Jenny (Desk lady name I had made up)." Minato said as Jenny nodded and left. "Good work Team 12." Minato said as everyone aside from Naruto nodded their heads. "You have successfully caught Tora in record time and Naruto has managed to tame him as well." Minato said as he saw how calm Tora was in Naruto's arm. Just then, the daimyo's wife had came in. Everyone here aside from Naruto had sighed as they knew how obsessed the daimyo's wife was with Tora as she was his owner. Many shinobi had thoughts of killing her or Tora so they wouldnt have to deal with either's shenanigans. Minato nods seeing the daimyo's wife come in. "Well my lady, Tora has been found." Minato said as the daimyo's wife took Tora immediately and snuggled him to death. Everyone in the room could tell that Tora was uncomfortable and trying to jump back in Naruto's arms. "You have returned my baby. You have no idea how much I have missed you dear." Daimyo's wife said as she began to start kissing Tora as well. "Well thank you all for giving me back my Tora." Daimyo's wife had said as she then turned around and left the building. Everyone then sighed in relief as Naruto still kept staring at the door. It was hard to tell his emotions but since Naruto is very talented in not showing it all. "Well, he is definatly going to escape again and we will be the ones to get him again." Naruto said in his head as he internally sighed at the troublesome stuff he would have to do. Minato then fakes a cough to get everyones attention. "You all did well as that makes the 100th d-ranked mission you guys have completed." Minato complimented. "All I want to know is how you guys managed to find and catch Tora so quickly." Minato added as everyone nodded. Anko then came up to answer. "Well lord hokage, it was actually Naruto who got him. Other than that, I have no idea how he managed to catch him so quickly." Anko answered as Minato and everyone aside from Naruto nodded in agreement. Everyone then stared at Naruto for an explanation. Naruto feeling all eyes on him began to inwardly sigh. "Looks like I cant avoid this." Naruto said in his head as Kurama began to chuckle. "I guess I got lucky." Naruto said quietly. This made everyone fall to the ground from his answer. "Thats it, Thats it, That is all you have to say." Satsuki yelled in anger. "Yeah, there is no way you find Tora by being lucky." Yakumo yelled. "Yeah Naruto, you cant just have been lucky in catching Tora." Rin said kindly. "Yeah brat, chasing after Tora is no joke." Anko added on which made everyone nod there heads. Naruto shrugs off all the comments he had heard from everyone. Everyone kept saying more until Minato shouted for everyone to stop. "That is enough." Minato shouted which shut everyone up. "Alright then, say that we all believe you and that you got lucky in catching Tora. How did you manage to catch him without any scratches or bruises?" Minato asked in a stern voice. Naruto inwardly sighed again as he didnt really like talking to others. "I guess Tora just felt nice today." Naruto answered calmly which make everyone look at him like he was insane. "Ill never understand this guy." Satsuki and Yakumo had thought. They had been trying to figure him out and know him better over the months, which all ended in failure. After a couple months, they had completely given up on understanding him and just thought of him as a teammate. Anko on the other hand was bewildered by Naruto's answer. Everytime a shinobi had caught Tora, they would be cheering all day long and everyone would treat them like a hero. But with Naruto, it seemed like he didnt care and that he didnt want to be here. Catching Tora is no easy feat as anyone that had managed to catch him would be celebrated. Although in Naruto's case everyone might not since most in the village hates him. But all in all Anko had no idea what to think of Naruto. He either made her curious or pissed her off due to his attitude. Rin was also confused and interested in Naruto for different reasons. Seeing how he acted always reminded her of how Kakashi had acted when he was younger. Granted Kakashi did have some type of personality and had his limits and would show off his emotions here and there. But in Naruto's case he was always calm and collected. He never showed his emotions and always had a level head.( PSA: I think I am trying to base Naruto's personality of of jotaro and Ayanokoji. I also want him to make him as smart as guys like Lelouch, Light, L, and Aizen.) Overall, Rin felt like Naruto was an enigma and that he needed help. That is one of the reasons she wanted to be Naruto's sensei. Minato then coughed again to gain everyone's attention. "Well now that all of my questions have been answered. You may all leave now." Minato said as everyone began to leave the hokage tower and head to their own separate ways. Naruto: "What a pain. There was no reason for me to have to explain on how I managed to catch a cat so quickly. Naruto muttered in his head. Kurama than chuckles at his words. "Well if you didnt want the attention. Then you should have stalled for time and tell everyone to keep searching while you just sat down and rested. You also could have made yourself dirtier to." Kurama explained which made Naruto sigh. "Well all in all, this was a learning experience." Naruto said as he began to walk to the training ground. "Well it is time for training." Naruto said in his mind as he went to the training ground to train with Kurama and hopefully get higher ranked missions in the near by future. The End.
