Chapter Ten

Ash\'s POV

The Full Luna was in a day, and usually today would be the day Donny would start to feel his early affects to it,  however the other day he contacted me in a flurry of panic going on and on about how he was feeling the affects earlier than usual and that Regulus wouldn\'t have sex with him.

I didn\'t take much of what he was saying into account. For one, what the hell was I supposed to do if Regulus didn\'t want to have sex with him while he was in his weird heat? Second, Donny was always hesterical during the time around Full Luna and had a tendency to blow even the smallest of things out of proportion. Thirdly, I trusted Donny and if he trusted Regulus enough to want the man to be his first, then I had enough trust in Regulus to believe that he would try to remedy things with Donny without my help.

Besides, I was still on babysitting duty.

After I had complained to the Alpha, he\'d finally gave in and gave me freedom from Erebus. But then the fucking idiot tried to go to the cabin Donny and Regulus were stuck together in, and got caught. So the Alpha Mate put me right back on duty. She said I was the only one who could handle Erebus besides herself and the Alpha, and Donny wasn\'t here to beat some sense into that idiot. Now I had to follow Erebus around twenty four seven, until Donny and Regulus returned.

We were slowly whittling down each others sanity.

"You can\'t keep me in here--"

"No."

"What? I didn\'t even ask--"

"No."

"Ash--"

"I keep saying no because I want you to shut up." I drawled out with a sigh, my head lolling over so I could glare at Erebus. "But for some inexplicable reason, you continue speaking."

He matched my glare. "You can\'t keep me in here."

"I can do whatever the fuck I want with you." I kicked my feet up onto his desk. "Your idiocy got you in trouble and now you must face the consequences. So sit there and take it like a man."

"But I\'m bored." He whined with a pout.

I sighed. He\'s such a fucking child. What the hell did Donny ever see in him?! Sure he\'s hot--and from what I\'ve heard he\'s also well endowed and good in bed--but his intelligence was that of a jellyfish. Not to mention he had the attention span of a five year old.

"What do you want to do, Erebus?"

His pout morphed into a look of astonishment. "Really?"

Irritation bubbled in my lower gut. "Hurry up and tell me before I change my mind."

"I just want to run." He said quickly, giving me a pleading look. "I haven\'t had a proper run in a while. Please, Ash."

A run? Did he is think I was fucking stupid?  He was going to try to give me the slip and run to Donny\'s cabin. Not that he could outrun me, but this wasn\'t the first time he had a stupid idea.

"I won\'t run away." He blurted out, as if he read my mind. "I promise. It\'s not like I can anyway. You\'re the fastest wolf in the pack."

I eyed him for a long moment. He looked sincere enough, but I didn\'t trust him. There were few people I trusted, who were the Alpha and his Mate, and Donny. Half the time I could hardly trust myself.

"What do you think, Hades?"

"I think you should let him run." I could sense his sadistic smirk. "And if he tries to give you the slip, then you\'ll have every right to beat him to a bloody pulp. Claim he was deserting us."

That was ingeniously evil. The Alpha didn\'t take too kindly to deserters and wouldn\'t have blinked an eye at Erebus\' state were I to beat him half to death. But of course I didn\'t expect anything less from Hades. One crazy son of a bitch chose to be my Guardian.

"I only chose you because I could sense the same darkness in you, Acheron." He chuckled darkly.

"I never said I wasn\'t same, now did I, Hades?"

"A-Ash?" Erebus tentatively called.

I glanced over at him and smirked. He was half out his seat, reaching out for me with a hesitant expression on his face. Despite all his stupidity, he did have his cute moments. Unfortunately they weren\'t often.

"I bet you could pull even cuter expressions from him." Hades whispered. "Imagine him tied down to your bed with red silk, a saliva-covered gag in his mouth, his eyes begging for you to fuck him--"

"That\'s enough, Hades." I cleared my throat and stood. "Let\'s go, Erebus."

"Wait, really?" He perked up, his eyes brightening.

"Look, does he not make an adorable pet? You can just see his little tail wagging, his ass in the air--"

"Hades!" I turned away from Erebus, heading for the door as I subtlety fixed the front of my pants. "Yes, now lers go before I change my mind."

I didn\'t turn around, knowing he wouldn\'t dare go against me at such a crucial moment. He wanted something, and he was appeasing me in order to get it. Even he had enough intelligence to understand how this went.

"You should make a contract for him, Acheron. I bet he would be willing to try anything." Hades growled lowly. "You\'d finally have a reason to buy one of those sex swings you\'ve wanted."

"That\'s your want, not mine."

"But it piqued your interest, didn\'t it?"

"That\'s...besides the point."

"Then what is the point?" He purred. "The fact that you want to fuck young Erebus silly?  Don\'t deny it; you want to break that sweet pride of his, make him yours only,  make him a slut for your co--"

"Ash? Where are you taking Erebus? I thought you were going to keep him locked in his room until Don came home?" A disappointed voice cut Hades off, causing me to stop in my tracks

I turned around, a smile creeping across my face at the sight of little Ty standing at the foot of the stairs behind us, her hands on her hips and a frown on her face. Honestly, I couldn\'t stand kids, but there was an exception for everything and that was Ty for me. She acted a lot older than her age, not to mention I was pretty sure she was like me.

"Hey, Ty." I opened my arms for a hug.

"Dont \'hey, Ty\' me." She snorted, but still ran into my arms.

"I\'m taking Erebus for a run." I told her once we separated.

She wrinkled her nose. "For what? Did he do something good?"

"Oh man I can\'t wait till she gets older. She will make a great dominant." Hades said gleefully.

"No, he was just annoying the shit out of me." I said simply.

Her head whipped around as she directed a glare at Erebus, who was bouncing giddily by the door. She snorted at him then turned back to me with a smirk.

"Have fun." With that, she skipped away.

I shook my head and made my way to the door. When Erebus saw me approaching, he opened the door and hopped out with a whoop, shedding his clothes as he ran off the porch. I was able to catch a glimpse of his perfect ass before he was in wolf form, coming to a stop as he waited for me impatiently.

Erebus\' wolf form was simple perfection. His black fur was sleek and glossy, his muscles rolling and shifting effortlessly underneath. The black of his fur made his icy blue eyes pop out even more than usual, glowing almost eerily. His every stride was graceful and powerful, a dangerous aura surrounding his being. He was gorgeous.

"Ash, come on." He whined in my head. Ugh. "Let\'s run."

"Go ahead." I told him. "I\'ll catch up."

He hesitated, taking a small step back. "You sure?"

I merely hummed,  gesturing for him to go. He yipped once, bouncing on his feet, before taking off into the forest. I kept my mind connected to his, so I could stay locked on his location. He knew exactly what I was doing, keeping his mind open as well so that it would be easier for me to track him.

Honestly the real reason I let him go on ahead of me was because I knew the moment I transformed into a wolf, my smell of arousal would be prominent than it was now. I was lucky Erebus hadn\'t noticed already. Now if I could just calm down enough to shift, I could catch up with him where he was now deep in the forest.

But I didn\'t even get that chance because the spark of alarm that came through the connection had me in wolf form and sprinting through the forest before I even realized what I was doing. Fortunately, I was so focused on Erebus\' wellbeing that my arousal disappeared completely by the time I reached him. He was pacing agitatedly back and forth over the same spot.

"Erebus whats wrong?" I said immediately.

He looked up at me then  pointed with his nose to the spot next to where he was pacing. "Smell this."

I went over beside and him and before I could even scent the ground, the smell permeated my nose and I let out a low growl.

"Rogues. Fresh."

Erebus nodded. "That\'s what I thought. But look at the direction it\'s headed."

Following the line of the scent, my fur immediately stood on end. It was headed in the direction of Donny\'s cabin.

"You think we should--"

"Yes."

Together, we shot off in the direction of the cabin. I had to continuously remind myself to slow down so that Erebus could keep up, but he was pretty fast himself and we made it there in good time.

The carcasses of rogues littered the ground. Well, more like ripped up body parts. I could tell from one look that it was the work of a pissed of Donny. No help from Ares--just pure Donny. I knew Erebus knew it was the same going by the way he shivered and trotted closer to me. The front door was ripped open, though I could tell if was opened from the inside out--probably more of Donny\'s work.

I shifted back into human form, Erebus doing the same beside me, and cautiously entered the cabin. Immediately I heard a sound from the kitchen and headed in that direction. I poked my head around the corner, and then proceeded to roll my eyes.

Regulus, wearing a loose pair of jogger pants and blood smeared on his biceps, neck, and shoulders, was standing there with a bowl of what looked like yogurt. I must\'ve made a noise because he suddenly froze and looked up. Our eyes locked and we stared at each other for a long moment before he smiled.

"Hey, you\'re Donny\'s Bets right? Uh...Ash? I got it, right?" He gestured for me to come inside, and Erebus followed in closely after me, being practically glued to my back. "Oh, and Erebus too. What a surprise."

"Where\'s Donny?" I asked. "And what happened?"

He waved his spoon wildly, flinging yogurt. "Donny\'s out in the forest hunting down more rogues in a fit of lust driven rage. And well we were attacked by a random pack of rogues."

My eyes widened. "You let Donny go handle them alone?"

He arched a brow. "He has it under control.  All those dead rogues out there were his doing."

"It\'s not that." Erebus snapped. "Donny doesn\'t just go on rampages. He loses complete control unless someone is there to stop him."

"I think I can take care of myself just fine, thank you very much Erebus." A frosty voice said behind us.

I whirled around and my jaw dropped. Donny was drenched head to toe in blood,  also wearing only a pair of jogger pants. He was seething, I could tell just from his expession, not because of the rogues being on territory but because they interrupted him and Regulus. The Full Luna is in twenty four hours and I\'m sure he and Regulus had made up and were about to have sex, if they weren\'t already.  The rogues probably interrupted that, and now they paid the price.

"Looks like you were having fun." I couldn\'t help but smirk.

His hard gaze flicked to me and he arched brow. "You want a turn?"

"You got me a present?"

Without a word, he lifted his hand. He had a tight grip on the hair of a half beaten man who was groaning lightly. The grin that spread across my face was more or less sadistic.

"My favorite. You know me too well, Donny."

He held the present out to me. "Dont kill it until you get some information out of it. Rogues know better than to cross our border. I want to know why his pack chose to anyway and if there are others who plan to do the same."

I took it and threw it over my shoulder. "No problem. Got a room for me?"

"Take my room." He sighed,  flicking his fingers down the hall.

"Alright then." I started down the hall, humming lightly.

"This should be fun." Hades said gleefully.

"Tell me about it. I haven\'t had any proper fun in a while."

Okay so I know it was supposed to be some sexy time, but I figured it needed the plot to continue (i have a habit of getting to focused with the romance instead of the plot) so the sexy time is getting pushed back. Though it will be soon!

Sorry for such a short chapter, but it was needed since it\'s kind of like a base chapter for the rest of the plot.
