A/N: Because fluff and chaos are ALWAYS an acceptable combination.

“Meeeeeehhh,” Vi groaned as he turned on the couch and burrowed his way under Hero’s arm. The other man grunted in his own misery but tugged him closer nonetheless. A romantic movie played on the large TV screen as a nest of blankets and pillows cocooned them. “Hero I’m sick,” Vi groaned as he threw one of the many blankets over his head.

“Well you got me sick too so we’re both in this together,” Hero griped as kissed the other man’s head. “Ugh I hate the flu!!” he groaned in despair. “Who’s going to take care of us?”

“I’d say I have a machine for that but I can’t reach the remote,” Vi sighed, nuzzling against Hero’s strong neck. “You’re so warm, I’m cold.”

“You’re burning up!” Hero protested, mind somehow registering that Vi’s fever was going to break soon. Knowing that he was still just a little more lucid at the moment Hero carefully repositioned his protesting boyfriend and got up to get some orange juice to help wash down the medicine he was going to give him before putting them both to bed. As he opened the fridge and took out the juice he took a deep breath to dispel the dizziness when he straightened. Ever in control of himself he took down a glass and filled it and returned the juice to the fridge. After downing pills himself he took the extra to Vi and watched over him carefully as his lover swallowed them before going back to the kitchen.

Another bout of dizziness overtook him after he had put the glass in the sink and he put his hand out to steady himself, accidently pushing against one of the many buttons that lined the wall. He frowned when he heard a small grinding noise but since nothing happened in the apartment he shrugged it off. What he didn’t know was that on several of the floors at random the lights flickered and the hot water shut off, upsetting many people all at once.

But Hero wasn’t aware of any of this as he shut the TV off and whisked the lightly snoring Vi back to his bedroom where he tucked him in and crawled in beside him. It made him happy that Vi turned and snuggled up against him despite his fever and his discomfort and he was happy to draw the other man into his arms. Maybe it was the medicine or his own fever but he couldn’t imagine a better way to spend his time being sick than being sick with someone he had come to care for.

“Love you,” Vi sighed against his neck and Hero’s heart sped up at the admission. So far he hadn’t returned it but Vi didn’t seem to be bothered by it or intent on pushing him into admitting anything.

“Someday,” Hero sighed as sleep began tugging down his eyes before pressing another kiss to Vi’s slightly less than hot forehead and passing out, oblivious to all the chaos below as someone tried to figure out how to turn the hot water back on.
