Full Moon Rising
This is Poem 2 of the trio I began last chapter. I wrote it to appeal to my inner beast, so to speak. Think of a drum beating, or a wolf running after a deer, and you'll get the basic rhythm of the poem.
Full Moon Rising
Look deep within my eyes,
See the pain you brought down on me,
The moon is full in the sky,
Enraged, she’s all I see.
My heart a pounding beat,
Calling out to you in a deadly game,
This wolf has got to eat,
I repeat your name.
Anger invades my mind,
Dangerous to all those around,
I wish me your heart would find,
Before I burn you to the ground.
