Unknown Love and Destiny Pt 10
Giving him a weak smile, she stepped inside. Looked around at the buildings inside and the grounds. Staring at the monks, she leaned towards Michael.
"What are they doing?"
"Praying and welcoming you in their own way. They have devoted themselves to serve you. I have worked with them before" he lead her down the path between the monks to one of the rooms in the back.
"Serve me? Oh.. because of the prophecy thing. Right. Is this where I am staying?"
The room was small and boring, a simple bed and a old dresser was all there was. "Yes, I am sorry it\'s not up to your usual standards" he lead her inside.
"Well, I didn\'t mean it that way. It\'s just small and I don\'t exactly have much stuff anymore, do I." Gasping. "Gods, please tell me there is a real bathroom here."
"Yes, they have that at least. But it\'s only got a toilet in it" he answered.
Groaning aloud. "You must be joking. How am I going to stay clean?" she asked as she flopped onto the bed, causing dust to rise and she sneezed.
"That is what the hot water springs out back is for"
She just looked at him. This was going to suck. Small bed, small room, small bathroom and she had to go somewhere else to bathe. Wonderful. Sighing.
"Alright. So it ain\'t the Hilton. I can deal...I hope." Suddenly she saw a large spider across the room. She screamed,
jumped up on the bed.
"SPIDER, SPIDER, SPIDER!" pointing to it. "GET IT OUT. GET...IT..OUT"
"You know, creatures of this world can actually help you" he walked over and let the spider walk onto the pawn of his hand. He then brought the spider towards her. "I have read in a book, that some have a power to communicate with all creatures. Forming a pact with them will allow you to summon them in battle. That is of course if you can find it in you to talk to them"
Planting herself against the wall.
"Don\'t you dare come any closer with that. Talking to creatures, fine that maybe, but spiders...NO THE HELL WAY!" She was scared to death of the black, fuzzy, multi- legged things. Other creepy crawlies didn\'t bother her but there was just something about them that did her in.
"Come on, please. For me?" he wanted her to be ready. Getting in
touch of creature speak was a good way to get extra protection.
Her body was actually trembling, as she shook her head.
"I can\'t. I may love and adore you, Michael, but I fear that thing more."
He walked over to the window and let the spider go. "There. I will let you get some rest. I will speak with the monks about your stay here"
Sighing. "Thank you. Sorry." Peaking under the bed making sure no others were around. "I will try, I promise. Just with something else. Kinda work up to it."
"Name it" he walked over to the door.
"I\'ll try talking to anything, as long as it doesn\'t have eight legs and spins webbing out of its butt." Smiling at him.
"Alright. Maybe in time then" he walked through the door opening. "Sleep well" he said as he held the old door by a rope that acted like a door knob.
"Night." she called to him as the door closed. Not even a lock on the door. Rolling her eyes. She unpacked her things which just barely fitted into the small dresser. Removed her shoes, then stripped down to her underwear, before laying down on the bed. She stared up at the ceiling, slowly going over the events this evening.
Michael walked over to he most senior of the monks. "I don\'t want her disturbed in anyway. She needs her privacy. The only person allowed to enter that room without her direct approval is me" the monk bowed as he understood the request.
