“You’re so beautiful, my love.” Charles said as hugged his lover in front of the mirror. “I just can’t help but fall in love with you more each passing day.”

“I love you too. It’s been seven months, we only have to wait for two months and we will be having our baby.” Jeremy replied excitedly.

“I just can’t wait. I am going to be a father soon.”

Jeremy turned to face Charles. “Charles, I’ve been thinking, that maybe, if I already gave birth to our baby, and grandpa sees his new grandchild, he will let us be. It’s been months already, and maybe, just maybe, grandpa has come to accept that he can’t control my life.”

“I know how you wanted everything to be okay, angel. Believe me, I want it too. I want to face your grandfather and tell him that I have no intentions of hurting you and that I have already proven myself to you. But, I’m just afraid that he would still not accept me, and our baby.”

“I know. B-but I can also feel that he loves me. People change, you know. I mean, I don’t think that Oliver Castle would still want me if he sees me like this. I’m seven months pregnant with our baby. He would be a laughing stock in our society and I don’t think that he would want that. ” Jeremy explained.

“Is that what you really want, angel?” Charles asked.

“I just want everything to be okay. We’ve been in hiding for too long. We can’t just go on living like this forever. What if, after I gave birth, we go and see grandpa?”

Charles said as he lifted his lover’s chin. “If that is your wish, then who am I to deny it?”

“Thank you, Charles. You are so good. You just don’t know how lucky I am to have you.” Jeremy said as he hugged Charles.

“No, angel. I am luckier. I feel like I am the luckiest man in the entire world because I have your love.” Charles said and kissed Jeremy on the lips tenderly. “As soon as you gave birth, I promise, we will go back and face your grandfather. And I will ask your hand in marriage. I just can’t wait to marry you, angel.”

“Me too, Charles. I just wish dad is still here. Things would have been a bit easier for us. My dad loves me and I know that he will understand us.” Jeremy said sadly.

“If only I could bring him back angel, if only I could bring him back. I will do everything to make you happy, you know that.”

Charles left with Celso early the next morning. They needed to buy supplies in town. Jeremy was left with Myrna in the house. He was awaken when he felt the baby kick hard.

“Hey, easy… you will be out soon, I promise.” Jeremy said as he tried to calm the baby. He sat up and massaged his growing belly. “Don’t be naughty, daddy will be home soon.”

Jeremy heard the bedroom door open, instantly thinking it was Charles, he excitedly spoke “You’re back early, our baby’s kicking!” Jeremy’s excitement faded and instead was replaced by fear when he saw the person standing on the bedroom door.

“Hello, dear cousin. It’s been a while since we last saw each other.” Gael said as he entered.

“N- no…” Jeremy looked around as if looking for a place to escape.

“You can not escape this time, dear cousin. You gave me a very hard time looking for you.” Gael sat on the bed and Jeremy moved farther away from him until his back touched the headboard.

“I see you’re already heavy with that bastard child of yours.”

Jeremy clutched his belly as if to protect his baby from his cousin. Jeremy heard someone scream and immediately knew that it was Myrna.

“Myrna! D- don’t hurt her! She’s got nothing to do with this!” Jeremy pleaded with his cousin.

“C’mon, Jeremy, we have to keep going.” Gael said as he reached for Jeremy.

“No! I’m not going with you! Please Gael, Charles and I will go home! We will face grandpa soon! I swear! Just don’t make me leave without him!”

“Nah, it’s never gonna happen. You think I will be as dumb as you think I was back then? That I will just let you slip easily in my hands again?! You are coming with me, whether you like it or not! Take him to the car!” Gael signaled two of the guards.

One of the guards forced a coat into Jeremy because he was only wearing his night gown.

“No! Gael, please don’t do this! Please believe me! Charles and I are going to go home! Please! I beg you, let’s just wait for Charles! Please!” Jeremy struggled as he was dragged from the room.

“Master Jeremy! Sir, please! Show some mercy! He’s pregnant!” Myrna said as she saw how the guards forcefully dragged Jeremy.

“Myrna, help me!”

Jeremy was not strong enough to fight the guards, so he was easily brought to the limousine with Gael. Then he heard a gun shot.

“N- no, Myrna! You’re so evil! You don’t have to do that to her!” Jeremy started to hit Gael on the car.

Before Jeremy could hit him again, Gael was able to catch his hand and slapped him on the face hard. It was so strong that Jeremy fell on the car seat.

“Grandpa is not here dear cousin, so you better be kind to me. I am not as compassionate as grandpa and your tantrums can’t get away with me.”

Jeremy held his reddened cheek. Defeated, and knowing that there’s nothing more than he can do for now, Jeremy just sat on the seat and cried silently.

“Much better, Jeremy.” Gael uttered as the car was driven away from the house.

“Put these on. We have a long way back home.” Gael said as he handed Jeremy some clothes. They stopped at a hotel for some time. Jeremy is sitting on the far edge of the big bed, hugging himself. He is shivering from the cold.

“Gael, please. J- just let me call Charles. I promise I will go home with you. But just let me talk to Charles.” Jeremy begged his cousin once more.

Gael sat next to Jeremy. “Look at you, still very beautiful despite being heavy with a child. A pity you let a Montgomery spoil your beauty.” Gael said as he caressed Jeremy’s face.

“D- don’t touch me! You’re disgusting!” Jeremy said as he removed Gael’s hand.

“Oh, still fiery, little cousin. I like that very much. Uncle Gregory really spoiled you. A pity he is no longer here to protect you.” Gael said shaking his head.

It brought tears to Jeremy’s eyes. He misses his father so much and Gael just tried to mock him with it.

“Oh, you’re crying again. Poor little cousin. So defenseless, so weak. No daddy and no Charles here to protect you. So much for the drama, we’ve got no time to waste, change now and we have to go. Or you’d rather that it be me to put these on to you. Believe me, dear cousin, I would really enjoy doing it myself.”

Jeremy had no choice but to follow Gael. He knew his cousin, and he knew that Gael will do whatever he threatened to do.

“It’s been so long, little cousin. And you have no idea what I’ve been through during the months of your absence.”

“W-what do you mean?” Jeremy looked at Gael.

“Because of your grand escape, grandpa blamed everything on me. His beloved grandson, running away with another Montgomery… He was so worried and not another passed that he did not stop blaming me for everything. He wants you back, as if you are the only person who means everything to him. That I, on the other hand, is nothing but just a mere servant.”

“It’s not my fault! And I don’t want his attention! I just want to be with Charles!” Jeremy replied.

Gael roughly took strands of his hair and lifted his face to meet his gaze. “You are the cause of my suffering, you know that?! I am the one who is right by his side! Who lost a father! Who took care of all he needs! But he never valued me like he did to you!” Gael shouted back.

“Gael, s- stop. Y- you’re hurting me.” Jeremy tried to remove Gael’s hand.

“Hurting you?! You don’t know what real pain is, Jeremy! You were sheltered all your life! Such a spoiled brat who gets everything he wanted! But not anymore, little cousin! I will give you what you deserve!” He then forcefully kissed Jeremy on the lips.

Jeremy struggled to let go. But he can’t fight Gael harder because he is afraid of his baby. He tried to push him away with one of his hands but clutched his stomach with his other hand. After a while, Gael ended the kiss. It left Jeremy struggling for breath.

“You bastard!....I- I will tell grandpa everything! You will be sorry when we get to grandpa!” Jeremy said in between breaths.

Gael’s face lit upon hearing this. Then he smiled mischievously at Jeremy.

“Grandpa? Who ever said I am going to bring you to him, dear cousin?”
