chapter ten: black moon, silent scythe

Notice: this chapter introduces camula, from her point of view, her vocal cords were ripped out at a young age, so she's mute, her thoiughs will look like this: //I am thinking// please reveiw!

-------------------------------------------------------------

she was walking, she had never been to this section of green dragon territory, her black scythe gleamed on her back, sparkling in the starlight unnaturally. //what beautiful flowers on the road,// she thought to herself, and she paused to pick one, snapping the purple morning glory's delicate stem to tuck the flower behind her ear. she spotted something in the bushes to her left, a vampire, she knew her. she motioned for her to come out into the open, gimmaceing. //dammit rose, stop skulking in the shadows, it's unnerving.// Rose was her traveling companion, they had met her in the last village, and had become inseperable, due to her ability to read human minds. "fine fine, you know, for a human, you are a good tracker." at this point, Rose did not know who she was traveling with
//then you should know by now that I can see you in the shadows.// a smirk graces rose's lips, "too true." they walked on, sometimes conversing, but never saying much in particular. until camula stopped dead in her tracks, reaching behind her back for her scythe, //hold.// the lady vampire looked over her shoulder and kept walking. "hn?"
camula just shook her head and moved in frount of her while she threw her scythe in a graceful arc, letting it dissapear into a small stand of trees. the sound of wings, panic, then silence.

rose smirked. "miss." camula frowned, and turned around to glower at her, before walking into the trees to retrieve her scythe. //your right, but you tipped it off. otherwise we would have had wood-dove for dinner.// she pulled carefully on the light weight, black blade, as not to bend it and change it's flight pattern. rose walked up from behind her, "I'll get that." and she delfly pulled the blade out the the thick tree trunk it had been stuck in. "poor tree." camula turned to her crossly //did I ask for your help?// rose shook her head. "no, but sometimes it's nice to help out even when it's not needed. I don't want to just be your speach-puppet." //hmmp. let's keep going. we have a lot of ground to cover before dawn.//-------------------------------------------------------------
