EPISODE 10
Episode 10
Carl looked out the window. He sat there in the kitchen waiting for dinner to be served. He had an interesting day. The whole fur protesting turned out to be great but what he saw (or what he thought he saw) made him scared.
“Honey dinner is ready so come.” His mother called. Carl turned around to face his mother. There she was with the two plates in her hand. She placed them on the table and she sat down. She looked at Carl and smiled.
“Thank you mom.” Carl got up from the chair by the kitchen window and made his way to the table. He pulled out the chair and sat down.
“So honey how did the protest turn out?” Carl looked at her with a weird look. This woman didn’t speak to him in months let alone care hoe something went.
“Well it was pretty good. There was a great turn out of people that actually cared. Liza did a wonderful job.”
“So how long have you known this girl?”
“Only a couple of months. I met her through David. She use to hang out with Theresa until they had a falling out.” His mother chewed on her food. She had looked healthier then she had ever looked. Carl was glad that she was trying to get back on track with her life. “So mom how was your day?” She put her fork down.
“It was okay. All I did was catch up on my soap opera’s. They have done a lot of things since your dads disappearance.” She picked her fork back up and began to eat again.
Brian smiled at Kimberly as they sat there in Applebee’s waiting for their food to come.
“Thank you for taking me out tonight baby. This is wonderful.” Kimberly took Brian’s hand and smiled back at him.
“Anything for you baby girl. So how did you feel bout the movie?”
“It was okay I mean the acting could have been better but I deal.” Brian let go of her hand.
“I have to use the bathroom real quick. I’ll be right back.” Brian got up from the chair and made his way to the bathroom. He entered the bathroom and there was one person in there. He went to the urinal and began to take care of his business. The boy next to him had flushed and made his way to the sink. Just then Brian’s phone had rang. He finished his business and took his phone out.
“Hey Liam what’s up?” Brian listened as Liam talked on the other end. The other boy was bout to walk out but accidentally bumped into Brian.
“Oh I’m so sorry.” The boy said. The boy looked at Brian and Brian looked back.
“Liam I will call you later. Yeah love you too.” Brian hung up his phone and stared at the boy.
“Wow long time no see Brian.” The boy said. Brian stepped back from the boy.
“Yeah Henry long time. How you been?”
“I been okay mister how have you been?” Brian made his way to the sink to wash his hands.
“I’m doing okay.”
“So is Liam a girl?” Brian wiped his hands dry.
“No it’s a guy. Why is it your business?” Henry stepped closer to Brian.
“Cause if I remember correctly I loved you and you loved me. Then you up and left me for a girl. Told me that you were experimenting with me and you found out that you like girls. But now you’re telling some guy you love him?”
“That is not you business like I said Henry. I have to go now back to my table. You take care man.” Brian made his way to the door and he stopped. He turned around to face Henry. “Nice to see you.”
“Same here Brian.” Henry said and Brian made his way out the bathroom. Brian leaned against the wall and took a deep breath and made his way back to Kimberly. He sat down.
“I see the food came while I was gone.”
“Yes it did baby and I waited for you. So let’s eat I’m hungry.” Brian began to eat. Henry walked by the table and noticed that Brian was there.
“Damn I miss you.” Henry said to himself.
Theresa sat next to David. She had come over to his house to chill with him.
“So have you heard from your dad yet baby?” She asked hoping that he had listened to her.
“No not as of yet. I think something is wrong. This is not like him.” David got up from the bed and made his way to the radio to get the remote. He sat back down and he turned the stereo on.
“I’m pretty sure that he is okay baby. He is a grown man and can take care of himself. You just have to have faith.” David smiled at her.
“This is why I love you. You make me feel better all the time. You never keep anything from me and I love that bout you. Thank you for being here for me.” Theresa smiled as he hugged her. She felt cold go through her body. She was not the woman that he wanted. She was a liar, a deceiver. But she had to keep his dad’s secret or he would expose her for what she did. Then she would lose David forever.
“That is so sweet of you to say that to me. Can you put on my favorite CD?” David got up from the bed and made his way back to the stereo. There Theresa stood watching the man she loved.
