Killers Of The Night

They arrive at the warehouse and get out of the car they enter the building. Valuchek is sitting in his chair; he looks up when Veronica and Moric come in and stands when he sees what Moric is holding. "How did you get her?"

"I slipped a sleeping drug in to her tea and she drank it right down. I bring her as my gift to you my master." Veronica says kneeling in Valuchek's direction.

He walks over and takes Victoria from Moric arms. "We left Mornick a calling card to come." Moric says.

"Very good." Valuchek says walking away. He enters his room and lays Victoria on to the bed and gazes at her. Just like he pictured it. He sat in his chair to a wait her waking.

I wake up with a start. I gaze around the room confused. How did I get here? “Well, I was starting to think you would never a waken from the drug. You my dear are more beautiful now than when I first set eyes on you.” I hear from a chair in front of a fireplace. A man gets up from the chair and faces me. Even as I gaze at my enemy I do not get up to fight. "Let me guess you were expecting a old withered creature that looked so old that an exact date could never be found." He says almost reading my mind while walking towards the bed. I finally spring in to action and roll over to the other side and off the bed.

"Actually your right." I say making a spring for the door. I get there and go for the knob. I turn it and nothing happens.

I do not hear him walk up behind me. He gently grasps my shoulders and turns me to face him. I instantly start to fight him off. He grasps my hand gently but firmly in his left hand. He turns around and starts to pull me towards the bed. I resist, he turns and tugs so quickly that I fall against his chest and he picks me up. He walks over to the bed and places me on it again gently. "My dear the first time I saw you I fell in love with you. Your innocence, your beauty, the air around you seems to attract light."

"You are crazy. Vampires don't love they become infatuated with their prey." I say making a move for the side of the bed. But Valuchek is to fast and grasps me around the waist effectively bringing him on to the bed with me.

I feel his breath on his neck and my ear. "My dear that is an old wives tale. Told to little girls to scare them in to stay in at night." He licks my ear. "But that did not keep them inside did it little girl. You thought to take Veronica from Moric but I knew you would be planning something like that so I created a counter attack. The great Raven has been caught in her own plan or should I say Victoria has been caught in her own plan." He loosens the grip on my waist. His hands travel to the bottom of my shirt and starts to raise it. I move forward but he quickly gets me on to my stomach. Then he turns me around to face him, he captures my eyes with his. "Your eyes are a great feature. They show your true feelings, they darken when you are mad and lighten when you are happy." He runs a fingernail across my cheek.

"You will never have me." I say my voice steady even though my heart is racing like a run away train.

He places his hand on my left breast. "Your heart is beating so fast but you can talk so straight and precise. Your passions are raised like mine but you will not confess it. I know your deepest and darkest secrets that you would never tell anyone. Like the one about your parents." He says kissing my chin.

"Stop it. Get off me." I say my anger showing in my voice.

He licks the hollow of my neck effectively freeing the cross of Logan. Valuchek gets off me quickly. The window above is crashed in and down comes Mornick. "Come on girl." He says when he lands. I get off the bed quickly and run over and grab on to him. He pushes a button on the contraption he is holding.

"Victoria!!!!!" I hear Valuchek yell before we disappear on to the roof. Later at the tattoo parlor we are sitting in the back.

"How did you know?" I ask shocked that he knew where to find me.

"You said you would meet me out front of the library at five and you never showed so I went to the apartment. The place was still on fire and looked like it would not give up soon so the warehouse was my second chose." He says handing me a cup of tea.

"Thanks. I almost came under his spell. Tomorrow night I want to go after him." I say getting up and walking in to the small room with the cot and fell asleep.
