The Prom
The Prom
Oh I hear your gentle voice in my head
I cannot ignore it for it tells truth
It tells me to choose the black over red
It will look much better in the pink booth
There we will sit upon the plush leather
Friends all around enjoying their laughter
There’ll be no imprint for I’m a feather
The dance is where we’re headed just after
There will be music and laughter and fun
The DJ will play the most booming song
People will be breathing just like they’ve run
After the gyrating, never a wrong
Off to the bathroom where we place lip balm
On our lips to look pretty for our prom
