(9) I'm willing, are you?

Michael tilts Nick’s head up and kisses him, his hand moving to slip between his shirt. Nick moans and pulls away, some of the numbness wearing away.
“No… Just, just stay like this.”
Nick lays down and snuggles close to Michael. He doesn’t want anything more, he couldn’t handle anything more. Michael sighs to himself and contents himself with just holding Nick. He had thought Nick would like finding out they are engaged. He likes the idea.
Somehow he had done everything wrong and just scared Nick more than anything. With Jason and Norris he doesn’t care, he is gaining their obedience so that he can take them home. A couple of well trained dogs to help his people. But Nick, Nick is his chosen mate and he must find a way to please him, to make him happy. But how? Everything he does seems to just drive him further away. (Maybe if he’d be *nicer*? *shrug*)
Michael looks down at the watch on his wrist, one of the things he likes about earth, right under movies and television. The digital letters read 8:45, he’s certain he heard Nick mention something about having to be home by nine.
“Nick. Nick?”
“Hmm?”
Nick doesn’t move, doesn’t budge, almost afraid to. Afraid that Michael might try and push him to have sex.
“Aren’t you suppose to be home by nine?”
“What time is it?”
“Fifteen minutes till…”
“Shit!”
Nick shoots up off the couch, only to fall flat on his ass on the floor. Nick half expects Michael to laugh at him, so he’s more than mildly surprised when Michael stands and gives him a hand up.
“Thanks…”
He says softly, averting his eyes. He takes Michael’s hand and stands up.
“Can you get me there in time?”
Michael grins, “Only if you don’t mind Shadow Dancing.”
The look on Nick’s face, the sparkling look of a child who’s opened a package and gotten his favorite thing in the world, tells Michael enough. Michael draws Nick close and with the wave of his hand the lights go out in the room.
Suddenly they are thrust into the shadows, but instead of coming out at Nick’s house, Michael stops in-between the shadows.
“One of the more interesting things about Shadow Dancing is that while your within the shadows, time stops. You could stay in here forever, yet still when you come out it would seem as if you had never left.”
He draws Nick even closer, their bodies touching, his lips a mere breath away from Nick. Nick’s body response to the closeness as if a switch had been flipped, coming to life quickly.
“Sensation is doubled here.”
Michael closes the distance between their lips, touching Nick’s in a light, tender kiss. Nick feels the kiss as if it were fire spreading through out his body, a fire that hit all the right spots and felt so wonderful it should be outlawed. It’s Nick who deepens the kiss, like with the float, his hands around Michaels head, imprisoning him.
Michael wraps his arms around Nick’s waist, their tongues dance together inside Michael’s mouth. When they finally break their both breathless, their foreheads resting together, eyes locked.
“I thought I said we weren’t going to do this tonight?”
Michael laughs, though it comes out as little more than a whispered breath.
“I don’t remember that, I just remember you saying no to that one advance.”
Nick takes a step back, shaking his head, but he’s smiling.
“Take me home and then I think you need a cold shower.”
Nick finds out a little later that he needs a cold shower probably more than Michael. He barely made it past his grandparents, who asked him what he had done, and to his room before they noticed the bulge in his pants. He leans against the door, breathing evenly, trying to cool himself off.
When he can’t he grabs a clean pair of boxers and rushes to the bathroom. Within seconds he strips and steps into the shower, which also doubles as a tub, and turns the cold water on full blast. After what seemed like an eternity he can feel himself settle. How in the world Michael had managed to do this to him, he’s not certain. He can’t even say he doesn’t like it any more.
If his grandparents were to ever find out, he would be thrown out of the house. He plans on leaving, but on his own terms, not just tossed into the streets. Because then he would have no place to go except for Michael’s home. Them being engaged, he knows Michael would insist he live with him. Nick can barely handle seeing him part time, let alone full time.
Though the idea of waking up in Michael’s arms makes Nick smile. The smile stays with him when he climbs out of the shower, towels off, pulls his boxers on and returns to his room. That’s about the only peace he gets for the rest of the night, his dreams are filled with erotic images. Mostly of Michael naked and the two of them making out like crazy.

*************

Nick told his grandparents that he was going out with the guy’s again after school. He tells them that it’s because of the game next weekend, coach ordered some R&R. He doesn’t even wait for Michael to ask, he just knows it will happen. After last night, after Michael didn’t truly press him for sex, though he had tried to seduce him, Nick is almost anxious to be alone with him.
Unfortunately, Nick doesn’t get to see Michael all day at school. It’s not until he’s walking to the sidewalk that he spies Michael, walking towards him. Michael is wearing well worn blue jean pants that seem to hug him in just the right spots and a deep red shirt with a Nike label that accents the muscles in his chest and stomach. His hair is a little tousled and wet at the tips from the heat outside. It’s only April but it’s been an exceptionally warm one. But, needless to say, the sight of Michael walking towards him made his body come to life.
Michael is equally as excited to see Nick, who’s wearing crisp black jeans and a shirt that’s advertising for a BBQ the school had put on last summer, it’s dark blue. Not caring if anyone is watching, Michael pulls Nick close and kisses him. Nick leans into the kiss, feeling heat rise to his cheeks when Michael ends the kiss, taking a step away.
“I missed seeing you today!” Michael says cheerfully as they start to walk down the sidewalk. Michael is awfully cheery for someone who got no sleep the past night. Nick’s night had been restless, filled with erotic images, his body soothed by the cold shower. The shower had done little to help Michael and he had lain awake in bed all night.
He knew he should of done something to help it, jerk off, anything, but while it had been torture it had also felt good. Like with the defiance, Nick is the first person to deny him sex.
“I-I missed you too.”
Nick admits, a little embarrassed.
“Really?”
Nick nods his head but doesn’t say anything else. When they’re far enough away from the school that no one can see them Michael pulls them in-between a book store and a bike shop. Nick, knowing what he’s about to do, wraps an arm around Michael’s waist. They blend into the shadows.
Like last night, Michael stops once their within the shadows. Their lips lock, neither knowing who moved first, hands everywhere. Before long their both naked, Nick laying on his stomach as Michael moves inside him. Even laying on this in-between world felt wonderful, almost like laying upon warm velvet. Because the shadows have a pulsing life of their own. A life that fills both Michael and Nick, enhancing everything they do until it nearly drives them insane with the sensations.
Michael releases inside Nick the same moment that Nick finds his release. He collapses on the ground, pulling out of Nick and pulling Nick against him.
“That… Was amazing…”
Nick says, breathless, snuggling further into the warmth of Michael’s body. He closes his eyes and lets the sensations flow through him, over him. He has never felt this alive before, never. It’s strange, though, how things have changed so drastically since Michael had walked into the shower at school. Nick’s life is hardly even recognizable as he leads a double life.
Michael stirs beside him and Nick opens his eyes.
“As much as I’d love to stay here, I’m getting hungry.”
Nick nods his head and stands, glancing around for their clothes. Michael stands as well, giving Nick a curious look.
“What are you looking for?”
“My clothes.”
Michael laughs and both their clothes appear on his arm. But, instead of giving Nick his clothes, Michael wraps an arm around his waist and they appear suddenly in Michael’s living room.
“We don’t need these right now, “ Michael flicks his wrist and the clothes are gone. “They’ll be waiting in my room for when we do need them. Now, why don’t you sit down, watch tv, put a movie on. What ever you want while I fix us both something to eat.”
“Ok.”
Nick sits down on the couch, remote in hand, though is eyes are on Michael as he walks away, to the kitchen. When Michael is out of sight Nick shakes his head and turns the tv on, flipping through the stations for awhile before deciding a movie might be better. He gets up and goes to the tv stand, noticing for the first time that the shelves below the tv have dvd cases stacked neatly.
“You really like your movies, don’t you.”
Nick comments, loud enough for Michael to hear. Michael steps into the living room for a moment, the kitchen the next room over.
“It’s one thing I like about earth. All of it’s ‘technology’. At home we go to theatre’s, or have traveling circus’ that we use to entertain ourselves. Television and movies are very interesting, a play that you do not have to leave home to watch and enjoy.”
“Your weird…”
Nick shakes his head. Michael laughs and disappears back into the kitchen. Vaguely Nick notes the sound of grease popping. After much debating he chooses a movie that he’s never seen before, never even heard of before. It’s called Innocent Blood and is suppose to be a vampire comedy movie. None of the actor’s are familiar and the main actress looks almost ugly. But it seems interesting enough.
Nick is placing the dvd in the player when the front door opens and Norris and Jason walk in.
