Chapter 10
Aya Yavin: God’s
Hand
I was
created before the lord and lady to act as the messenger for the gods.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> With a vampire’s strength, speed, and thirst
for blood, and the god’s power I am the ultimate warrior, when they allow me to
be. When the lord and lady were created
I was used as a go between, which was my primary purpose in life, until the
gods began to use me to kill. I took to
that quite well, enjoyed it even.
Torture, an oddly satisfying and effective technique, became my forte.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I enjoyed it greatly and every time the gods
allowed me to I performed my expertise.
Normally they wouldn’t allow me such pleasures but under special
occasions they did. They used it as a
reward for jobs well done, but only certain jobs, every job would be a little
much. I know that I won’t get a reward
for my most recent job but I couldn’t just deny them. I would love to get my hands on that boyfriend of the Marivan, he
would be wonderful to torture, quite the sport, something new for my
enjoyment. Perhaps the gods will allow
me to if the Marivan does not perform the way she is supposed to.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I hope that I get my wish, just have to
figure out a way to make it happen.
“Aya.” A
gentle voice whispered in the back of my head, it was the goddess Vercellis,
the one who brought me into all of this.
“Yes.” I
whispered, “What is it that you desire of me?”
“The
Marivan, I want you to tell her what her purpose is.”
“Should
she refuse to accept it? What do you
wish for me to do?” I asked softly, brushing my hair out of my face.
There was
a moment of silence before she spoke, “Bring her human.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Do with him as you see fit to get her to
understand the situation.”
“Very
well. I shall do so.” I paused, “When
you say anything, you do mean anything, don’t you?”
She
laughed softly, “I do mean anything.
You may torture him if you would like.
What ever it takes to get your point across but remember, she must be
uninjured.”
“Of
course.” I replied, “I wouldn’t dream of harming her.” I smiled.
“Very
well Aya, you may do as you see fit.” With those final words she was gone.
I smiled
to myself as I left my meditation room.
I would collect the human then return to see her when she awakened for
the second time. That would make things
a lot easier on me. I knew already that
once I explained to her what her fate would be she wouldn’t accept it.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> It would be quite interesting to see how she
would react when I brought him before her.
I set off the locate him; I was sure that it wouldn’t be too
difficult. Surely he would have already
reported her abduction to the local authorities. A fascinating predicament since I already have a police record,
thanks to the countless killings that I have performed.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I’m their most wanted as well; I enjoy that
standing although it makes getting around rather difficult.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Doesn’t bother me much though, it’s not like
I have much to hide. I could erase my
presence from their minds if I so chose but it is much more enjoyable to watch
them search for me. Now they have
kidnapping to add to my repertoire.
My hunt
for the human went quiet well. I found
him right outside the police station, having just given his report no
doubt. The minute he saw me he panicked
and ran inside. I stood waiting for
him, allowing the gentle night breeze to flow around me, making me appear
human. Forcing blood to the surface of
my skin I made my body take on the appearance of life.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I wished to look human when they found me so
that I could make a better impression.
I saw him with two officers as they left the building.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He pointed me out and stayed outside to
watch, even though I could tell that they wanted him to go back inside.
“Good
evening officers.” I said softly, brushing my hair out of my face, “What is it
that I can do for you?” I asked softly.
They were new, rookies; it wouldn’t be too much of a problem.
“Please
come with us.” One of them said softly.
I
chuckled quietly, “I’m sorry, I can’t hear you.” I replied, bringing my left
hand so that it was palm up, “When I can’t hear what people wish of me I tend
to get a little angry.” My green eyes narrowed as I spoke.
The other
one piped up, “We need you to come with us.” He said, slightly louder than the
first.
I shook
my head, “I’m sorry, I just can’t do that.” I said as a bright ball of fire
flared in my hand. They panicked and
drew their guns. I laughed as I snapped
my fingers, forcing them to drop their weapons, “I abhor weapons such as
those. They used to use them where I’m
originally from. Interesting though,
high velocity projectiles. I don’t
really care for them.” I said, “Wait here and perhaps I shall allow you to
live.” I said, walking toward my target, “Do you wish to see Dea?” I asked
softly as I made my approach. He didn’t
move, was too frozen with fear as I walked toward him, the humanity slowly
draining from my features, “Well? Do
you?”
“What
have you done with her? Bring her
back!” He growled, taking a step forward.
“I can
take you to her.” I said, ignoring his question. Closing my hand I got rid of my ball of fire, “I could always
force you to come with me but that would not be enjoyable for you.”
“Take me to
her.” He said softly.
I half
smiled, “Then follow me.”
He did so
without question, the prospect of seeing his ladylove was in the forefront of
his thoughts. I would oblige him, he
would be allowed to see her but only if she refused her fate.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> The building in which I existed was ancient
and nearly as old as myself. This was
the ship we had come in from the third planet, Earth. I had remained here, it was the only piece of home that I had
left but after thousands of years this planet had become my home and the gods
my parents. All of the equipment is
still in working order, the instruments are well taken care of as well, I use
many of them when I torture people, quite enjoyable to use things from the past
to inflict pain upon the future. My
residence was well outside of town. I
hated the squalor of human civilization.
As we approached, the door slid open and we walked inside.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He was in awe at the sights he saw but that
was not the reason we were here. I took
him to a small room that used to serve as quarters and bid him remain.
“Stay
here, I’ll be back with her later.” I ordered before leaving, I madee the the
door was sealed and would only open for me.
Making my
way through the halls I walked into the room where I had left Dea.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> She looked over at me as I walked in.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> The wall slid back into place as I passed
through the entry, “Back already? I was
just getting used to being by myself without those wonderful visions.” She
asked angrily.
I
chuckled softly, “There’s something I need to tell you.” I said, plopping down
in a chair and leaning forward so that my elbows rested on my knees.
“What can
you possibly say that would be of any interest to me?” She spat.
“I was
ordered to tell you of your fate. If
you accept it then it’s all for the better, if not then I get to have a little
fun.” I said with a shrug, “It’s your choice.” I was silent for a moment before
going on, “Your fate is to die. You are
to be a sacrifice.”
Her eyes
narrowed, “I don’t think so.”
I
laughed, long and hard, “I’d hoped you’d say that.” I said with an evil smile
as I got to my feet, “Well then, time for you to bare witness to something that
I’m sure you’ll enjoy.” I said, untying her from the table, “Let’s go, there’s
someone who wants to see you.” I said, hauling her up.
Dragging
her along behind me I took her to the room where I had left that human.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> The door opened for me and I threw her
in. They held each other as I leaned
against the door. I shook my head as
she began to cry, it was sickening.
“What do
you want with us?” He asked softly.
I
laughed, “Nothing really from you. All
you are to me is a means to an end.” I said softly, “She is the key to this
world. The final piece of the puzzle.”
I pushed up from the wall, “What you must understand is that should she refuse
you must pay the price.”
His eyes
grew wide as he brushed his fingers through her hair, “What price?”
“Until
she agrees you shall be under my tender care.” I replied.
“What do
you mean by that?” She asked softly.
I smiled,
“My favorite past time shall be inflicted upon his body until such time as you
agree to sacrifice yourself.”
this for me.” He whispered, “Don’t allow yourself to be killed for me.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I’d die so that you could live.” He said,
gently running his fingers over her cheek.
“How
noble of you.” I said quietly, “I shall leave the two of you together for
awhile to think on it. I’ll be back in
one hour to hear your decision.” I said before leaving them alone in the small
room.
The door
was sealed shut behind me and I went to the small lab that I had turned into a
well-stocked torture chamber. I would
be prepared for my enjoyment, even if she agreed I would torture him.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> No one would take away my fun, not even the
gods, all right, they could but I doubted they would. I began to prepare for the human’s inevitable fate at my
hands. Perhaps in the end I shall kill
him. After thoroughly checking that
each tool, each blade, was clean and sharp I walked out of the room.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Now that preparations were complete I could
return to the little lovebirds and separate them forever.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> With my hands clasped firmly behind my back
I returned to the room. He was holding
her tightly and they were sitting in a corner together.
“How
sweet.” I said with a laugh, “What’s your decision?”
She shook
her head, “I will not t.” t.” She whispered, “And nothing you do will make me.”
Her words
made me laugh, long and hard, “We shall see.” I smiled at the boy, “We shall
see. I have something special planned
for you.” I said, grabbing their arms and pulling them up.
Dragging
them behind me I took them to my lab.
Quickly chaining Dea to the wall I strapped the boy to one of the many
tables. He struggled against the straps
and me as I stripped the shirt from his body.
My knife nicked into his skin as I made the final cut to remove the
shirt, he took in a hiss of air as a trickle of blood went over his stomach.
“What are
you going to do to me?” He asked softly.
I
laughed, “Torture you.”
“Aya.”
The goddess’ voice was in the back of my head.
“Yes.” I
whispered, the two of them looked at me like I was nuts.
“There is
someone that I am sending to you, I believe you know her from many years
ago. She did come with you to this
world after all. We have kept her here
until the proper time. Now is that
time. She is now like you, has been
since we took her.es"> She was to be our
other messenger but we have been training her for something special, assisting
you in this venture. Like you she enjoys
torture. I hope that you can show her
what you’ve learned over the years.”
I smiled,
“Of course. I shall wait outside for
her then. These two cannot escape.”
“Very
good Aya. I am quiteud oud of you.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I hope you know that.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> All throughout your life I have been pleased
with the progress you have made.
Continue with the good work.”
“Thank
you Vercellis.” I said before turning to them, I set my blade down first, “I
shall return in a moment.” I said before leaving.
I walked
outside to wait for her. The minute I
saw her I knew who she was, my lover.
We had come here together, I the pilot, she the scientist.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Her white blonde hair was braided, just as
she had always worn it, and she was dressed in a flowing black cloak.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I smiled at her as she walked toward me.
“Aya.”
She whispered, embracing me tightly, “I thought you were dead.”
I smiled
and kissed the top of her head, “I am though.”
That made
her laugh, “True but I thought you were one of the permanently dead.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I can’t believe that you still live here.”
She said softly as the door opened for us, “It’s been far too long Aya.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I’ve missed you so very much.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> When I was taken away by the gods I wanted
to die because I thought that I would never see you again.”
“I know
the feeling.” I whispered as I took her into the lab, “Well doctor.” I said
with a laugh, “Our victims.”
Bending
over the boy I watched as her tongue flicked out to taste the drying blood,
“Wonderful.” She whispered as he shivered slightly, “Do you like that?” He took
in a shaky breath, “I can see that you do.” She said, standing upright and
walking over to me. Gently she ran her
fingers down my cheek, “I missed you Aya.”
I bent
and laid a gentle kiss upon her lips, tasting his blood, “I missed you too
Nina.” I whispered, undoing her braid and allowing the crimped locks to trail
over my hands.
“I
believe that we should get to work.” She whispered, “Not that I don’t enjoy the
attention.”
I smiled,
“Ah yes, the human.” I said, picking up my blade, “Would you mind if I began or
should I give you that honor?”
She
smiled, her sapphire eyes glimmered, “No my love, you may begin.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I shall make sure that the Marivan watches
the show that you put on for her. I
hope that she enjoys it.” She said, walking over to the struggling Dea, “Will
you watch or do I have to force your eyes to remain open and your head to
remain still? I can do ite
ie
instruments here are quite sophisticated.” She looked over at me, “You may have
to adjust the table so that she can get a better view.”
I nodded
and tilted the table slightly, the blood runoff would have to be dealt with so
that we wouldn’t lose any but there were trays for just such an occasion.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Placing a rather large tray beneath the end
of the table I slowly brought the blade to touch his bare chest.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He tried to draw away from it but I slowly
drew the blade down the center of his chest.
I heard him take in a hiss of air as the blood bubbled up from the fresh
wound. Beads of brilliant red began to
trickle across his flesh. While I was
doing that Nina had secured Dea’s head so that she couldn’t move and forced her
eyes to remain open. As I continued to
make tiny cuts Nina ran her tongue over the large wound, lapping up the tiny
beads of blood from the shallow wounds on his chest. He tipped his head back and shuddered.
“Some
torture.” He whispered.
Nina and
I laughed in unison, “Don’t worry, it’s torture for Dea.” I said as I made
another cut and Nina’s tongue danced over the wounds, “I think that’s enough
for now.” I said, looking him over.
Nina
gently took the blade from me and quickly cut my shirt from my body.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I allowed her to do as she pleased.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Slowly she sliced into my skin, causing me
to tan a n a hiss of air. Laying the
blade aside she began to lap at the blood, her tongue dancing across my
wounds. A soft moan escaped my lips as
she lapped up the beads of blood.
“Nina.” I
whispered, “Please, stop.” One final lap of her tongue and she kissed me, her
lips tasting of blood, of salty flesh.
I drew her taste off my bottom lip and gently brushed my fingers through
her hair, “I do love you but now is not the time for that.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> We still have to deal with them.” I said,
nodding toward the two of them.
“Yes.” She
whispered, “I suppose we do.” She said sa
