Unknown territory

I pulled up to the curb at the club parking my silver mustang. As i stepped out of the car i handed my keys to the valet. I had the strangest feeling that someone was watching me, but as i looked around all i saw were rich people and nice cars. No one suspicious.
I smoothed down my black suit jacket pulling out the invitation. I shrugged off the feeling walking down the violet carpet. I came up to the man down at the front entrance of the building.
"Invitation please? And name."
I handed him the invitation, "Jaspen charles lextor terra."
He looked the invitation over as he searched for my name.
"Jaspen Terra," I nodded and he opened the door letting me enter.
As i surveyed the guest some of them looked my way for a second.
I was suppose to be meeting someone here, but i didn't knew who, when, or the reasoning behind it. I didn't even know why i agreed to do this. I guess you could call it a blind date.
The requirements for this ball was black and red attire. And I felt out of place surrounded by all these rich folks. I wasn't exactly middle class, yet I was wealthy, but going to balls were not usually on my agenda.
I was told by my mystery guy that I was being watched and that I should be on my guard because supposedly I was the prince of Fae. I wasn't heir to a thrown as far I knew, or so thats what my contact told me. I didn't even know how I became to have this title honestly. I was born out my mothers womb and there was a DNA test that proved I was her son and my fathers.
A watter walked by holding a tray of wine glasses filled with an assortment of wines. He held it out to me and I grabbed a glass that had red wine in it. I thanked him as he walked away. I felt the urge to tip him like I saw everyone else doing, but I thought against it. I walked around sipping on the glass observing everyone as the music played on, the crescendo vibrating through the building.
I saw a young man walk towards me. He was in his mid twenties blond hair with dazzling green eyes. He had a arrogant smile on his face like he'd just come back from playing poker at the casinos. He even looked great in the red suit he had on. The only turn off was that rich boy aura he played so well. "Please let this not be the person I'm supposed to be meeting up with," I whispered under my breath.
I took a drink trying to hide the disgust that was shown plainly on my face.
When he got close I could tell he was wearing designer cologne.
"You wanna dance?" He said in a deep voice that didn't match his persona.
"No thank you I'm waiting for some one."
"That's fine I don't mind the competition."
I laughed as I sat down and he just stood there like an idiot.
He went to say something opening his mouth the look on his face obvious that he didn't get rejected a lot, and I just glared at him.
"Look I'm probably twenty years older than you-" his eyes got big,
"you don't look it."
"Yeah, well I get that a lot, and I'm really not in the mood to deal with someone who still goes around looking for some quick sex and someone who is oblivious to when someone is put off by them."
He walked off without another word as I took out a cigarette and lit it. As I took the first drag an ashtray was put on my table. I thanked the man as he walked off, but I noticed that there was a napkin underneath it. It read in perfect cursive, "Meet me on the terrace in fifteen minutes make sure no one follows you."
I left it there flicking the ash in the ashtray while taking a sip of the wine. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed that same young man talking to someone else. The man in front of him was paranoid and his eyes kept looking my way like I was prey. Maybe I was paranoid, but to me it felt like they were were watching my every move.
"This was going to be a long night," I thought to myself as I took a drag off of my cigarette. I sipped some of the wine and flicked the ash. A moment later a handsome man walked in, and everyones head turned towards him.
He wore a black suit with a red vest and a red tie. His shoes were black as well, but they had red shoelaces. His hair was amethyst with black streaks. And if I'm not mistaken his eyes were a beautiful golden swirl mixed with emerald green specs. They reminded me of my own eyes except they were the exact opposite: mine were a emerald green swirl with golden specs. My eyes were naturally a plain brown color when i was born. And when I got into a car wreck at the age of 24 blood dripped down into my eyes changing them to the color i have now. Which is okay if you like having everyone staring at you all the time thinking your different because the color of your eyes. The only downfall is that my vision is slightly cloudy in my left eye, and in the right eye I'm colorblind.
I took the final drag on the cigarette. Putting it out as a woman walked up to the handsome young man hugging him and kissing him on the cheek. "Well isn't that great he's straight..." I mumbled laughing a little.
I picked up my drink and the napkin placing it in my back pocket. Walking up the right set of stairs I didn't look around trying not to draw attention to myself, but i noticed that out of the corner of my eye the handsome young man with the amethyst hair watched me walk up the stairs. When i got to the top i made a right heading down the hall. At the end there was a beautiful balcony with a couple tables and the windows and doors were made of glass. There was candles all over the place. No one was out there, but i felt like i was walking into a safe zone for some reason. I opened the door stepping out the breeze slightly chilling. I headed for the left side of the balcony setting my drink down on the railing. This side was only lit by candle light so the corner was darkened.
"You're a little early..." A voice said from behind me in the darkened corner. As i went to turn around he said, "don't turn towards me they'll know your talking to me."
"Who are you?" I asked cautiously, "do i know you?"
"No, but you will soon my prince..." He said his voice soothing pleasing to my ears.
"I'm glad you feel that way..."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Don't worry about it..."
"You say I'm some prince, right? How?"
"It's your eyes... They are the same as every other Fae, but you got yours through a tragedy... That car wreck 14 years ago when your father was killed. That was prophecy, it was as foretold that you would gain them through a tragedy..."
I frowned at the mentioning of my father. I downed the last of the wine as I took out another cigarette lit it and took a drag.
"I'm sorry my lord..." He sounded sincere and i wanted to believe him, but come on i barely knew him, or even what he looked like so i barely even cared. The silence carried on for what seemed like ages.
"How long have you been stalking me?"
He chuckled, "I wouldn't call it stalking per se my lord, more like watching over..."
"What? It's not like some ones going to try and kill me..." I laughed because the idea sounded absurd, but he wasn't laughing. "Is there something your not telling me?"
"Yes, but for now its for your own well being... The less you know-"
"The better... Yeah yeah I hear that too much... I'm going home." As i turned around i noticed it was the man with the purple hair. And as i walked by him i said, "if its any constellation you are very handsome..."
And even in the dark i could tell that his face was flushed...
