Moonlight
The market place of the fire kingdom is pack with food, water, and trinkets stands. Many food stands are from farmers and feigners. Two farmers in particular are father and daughter. The father is around fifty years old, his skin tough and leathery from working on the farms for years. His salt and pepper hair is cut close to his skull; his bread is cut the father’s weary blue eyes search the busy market.
Behind him his daughter is leading the horse and wagon. She has smooth pale skin like rose petals. Her Crimson hair goes down to her thighs and ties in a bun for today keep it out of her violet eyes which never took off of her father. “Any luck father?” She asks her voice soft and tinkling like a small sliver bell. Her father didn’t answer as his eyes scan the market place once more. “Not… there.” He point to a spot open between a pot and jewelry merchant stands. “Father I don’t think we should….” she said looking a bit worried. “Darling there is no space for the market food section. I think we’ll do just fine just use your charm.” He smiles at his daughter. She sighs and nods. “Yes father.” The pottery and jewelry merchant, looks up seeing them coming. “Hey you can‘t….” The farm girl stops the jewelry merchant in mid sentence. “I’m sorry about this sir, but this in the only spot open, my father and I could find. Please let us stay here.” She made her eyes wide and innocent looking. “Sure little lady.” He smiles at her knowing very well that he can’t say no to her. She smiles and kisses him on the cheek. “Thank you so much.” She goes to her father to help him set up. “Let me do that sweetheart.” The pottery merchant said leaving his stand and helping the girl’s father. “Oh thank you is there anything I could do for you?” “Well you could…” “I know! I’ll watch your stand.” She goes to the empty stand and starts to help a male costumer. Pretty soon she got the man to buy half of the merchant’s pots. The merchant was so happy he buys her some apple from her father. “Oh thank you so much.” The red hair smiles at him.Later that day the prince of the kingdom is walking in the market looking for a gift for his mother. A few steps away from the food, he sees a large crowd of men around one single stand. He notices deep red hair, thinking it’s one of his own people he pushes his way through. He stops as he realizes it isn’t one of his people.
The girl is running from one place to another helping costumer her purple eyes look at another costumer, then to the fruit. One of the costumers notices the prince and shouts out. “Everyone! The prince is here!” At that moment everyone expect the girl, kneels down to the prince. The girl stops and looks up confuse as to why the people are kneeling. As she looks around she sees the prince looking right at her, with surprise and interest look. She looks down blushing until her father pulls her to her knees. The prince smiles as he sees the beautiful creature blushing. Walking past his people he stops at the girl. He bends down and lifts her chin. “Tell me, beautiful flower what is your name?” She blushes again and tries not to look into his eyes. “Will you grace my ears by hearing your name from your lips?” “My name is Moonlight.” She says softly. “Moonlight.” He smiles slowly. “What a lovely name for a lovely girl. Will you honor me if you come to my castle for dinner? “My father…” She said glancing sideways. “He’s invited as well.” He still smiles at her, showing rows of white teeth. “Yes, we’ll be honor to come mi lord.” Her father answers for her. “Very good, I’ll send someone to bring a dress and dinning suit for you and your father.” “Thank you Prince.” Moonlight said. Anoi nods and let go of her chin and turn leaving her in amazement. Smiling to himself.
