AN: Written for the weekly prompt. I decided to do a drabble since a) I never did one before and b) I wanted to test my skills to see if I could do it in just 100 words!
Hands grasp, faces plead as I walk through the town. Studiously, I attempt to ignore the whispered requests. “Todd just kept pawing at me, it was disgusting!” Kate complained. I murmured an empathetic response, trying to focus on the conversation. “I know you can hear me. Stop ignoring me! You are the only one that can help!” We stopped, starting in at the newest additions to the fall storefront. The chatter washed over me and I closed my eyes. I rested my head on the cool glass, wishing that for one day, the voices of the past would be silent.
