Note: This story was initially posted a while ago under the name of FreyaAirFox64. That's an old account of mine and I've forgotten the email address attached to the account, so I decided to make a new one.

-Prologue-
The story begins with a happy couple. Everything was going great for them, especially since they were expecting a baby girl. But then one day they received a note on the door of their home. It was from the lord that governed the surrounding area and they owed quite a large sum of money.
After lots of negotiation, the lord agreed to write off their debt but on one condition: They had to give up their daughter to him the moment she's born. She would to be a bride for his son. The couple refused and they decided to flee to a neighboring town where they could have the baby in secret.
A few weeks later, the wife went into labor. And after many hours of intense pain, a healthy baby girl was born. They named her Anna and the happy couple joyfully celebrated their first born.
However, their celebrations didn't last long. The lord from their former town was looking for them, and he wasn't far. The couple decided to leave Anna with another couple that they were friends with. Shortly after that, the lord found the two. He captured them and sentenced them to death by execution.
Even when faced with death, the couple refused to reveal the whereabouts of their child. The lord delivered their execution swiftly and continued to search for the child.
Six years passed and the lord still hadn't found her. He decided to send his son, who was 16 at the time, to continue the search. The son agreed and he vowed not to return home until he had found his bride.
Ten years passed, and the son had just about given up hope. But then on a snowy winter night, he found her.
