I 'would never' want to Kiss you

As soon as the lock to my dorm room door clicked I turned the knob and slammed the door shut behind me. I was pissed! No that didn’t even come close to explaining it I was livid! I wanted to punch through walls, break glass, smash everything in sight!

I threw my bag to the floor and paced the room. I thought about everything that had happened earlier that day, between work school and boys! Ugh! I’ve about had enough. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed my computer. Sitting down I prayed that my best friend Maggie was online.

I logged on and sure enough she was:

Sieris_Mist: Maggs OMG I’m so happy your on I’ve just had the worst day ever! :’(

Maggiebear: Hey sweetie what’s wrong?

Sieris_Mist: Lots of things but the first thing that happened was that I got fired from my job for blowing up at a customer.

Maggiebear: That’s not like you what happened?

Sieris_Mist: The prick grabbed my ass! And that’s not even the half of it. When I got to my first class my teacher said that I didn’t hand in my midterm paper! That’s worth half my grade I know I turned it in! *Cries* And that’s not all of it either!

Maggiebear: Wow your having a really tough day aren’t you? Well I know something that will cheer you up.

Sieris_Mist: Huh?

Maggiebear: Not really suppose to say anything. But…

Sieris_Mist: Aww come on spill, anything can be better that what I’ve been through today.

Maggiebear: Well ok. I got asked out by someone.

Sieris_Mist: Someone you like obviously?
Maggiebear: Ya, only the thing is, He is a jock and his coach doesn’t like any of the team to date while in season so he said I can’t say anything to anyone. So don’t say anything to anyone ok? ;)

Sieris_Mist: Haha Ok I won’t.

Maggiebear: Connor Briggs.

“SON OF A BITCH!“ I about tossed my computer out the window. ‘That mother fucker He dumped me for my best friend?!’

Sieris_Mist: Maggs that was the other thing I was about to tell you!

Maggiebear: What was?

Sieris_Mist: Connor. He was dating me but he dumped me today.

Maggiebear: Bullshit… You would have told me if you were dating someone. Epically if that someone was Connor Briggs.

Sieris_Mist: I tried. Remember I kept telling you that there was something important that I needed to tell you but you were busy.

Maggiebear: No I don’t remember anything like that.

Sieris_Mist: well I tried I swear. He dumped me today and he used the same words when he asked me out. “Don’t tell anyone coach won‘t like it” blah, blah, blah. He is going to use you like he used me.

Maggiebear: Typical.

Sieris_Mist: I know right?

Maggiebear: Not him, I mean you.

Sieris_Mist: Huh, what are you talking about?

Maggiebear: Every time I get something that you want or someone that you like you have to go and make up some stupid story and ruin it all.

Sieris_Mist: I’m not making this up I swear, I wouldn’t lie to you like this.
Maggiebear: Oh stop I know you, your just pissed that Connor asked me out and that he likes me is all. So get over yourself Sieris.

Sieris_Mist: He’s just going to hurt you. I’m telling you so you don’t get hurt like I did.

Maggiebear: And I’m telling you to FUCK OFF!

I stared at the screen for what seemed like hours, picturing over and over again; Maggie yelling fuck off at her computer screen and storming away. I decided to send her one last message.

Sieris_Mist: Fine act like that for all I care but when he breaks your heart. I TOLD YOU SO!

After that I shut down the computer figuring that there wasn’t a chance in hell that I would be able to get any work done. I put on my night clothes and then crawled into bed and mourned the loss of my best friend.

The next day I woke up late with a throbbing head and puffy red eyes. After searching my stuff I found some Advil and groggily made my way to the dorm bathrooms. When I was a short ways away I spotted Maggie leaving the bathroom with a towel in hand.

“Hey Maggs” I shouted, She just looked at me glared and turned her nose to the sky. ’Huh?’ “Hey Maggie what‘s wrong?” She flipped me off as she passed me. Then all of last night came crashing down on me and I remembered why my eyes were hurting so much. If there was a rock, or anything blunt lying around at that moment I would have thrown it at her fat head!

When I reached the bathroom I examined myself in the mirror, my face was swollen and red and makeup was smeared all over my face. I looked like a common whore. ‘Ugh I’ve got myself into a pretty tight mess. I’ll be lucky if Maggie ever talks to me again. But then again she did kinda tell me to fuck off. It’s all her fault!’

I washed my face, scrubbing hard to get all the dried salt and makeup off. When I looked back up my face was still swollen and splotch, but my eyes were glistening. Even though I hate to cry, I’ve always loved the aftermath of crying. It always seems to make my eyes shine. I moved closer to the mirror to inspect myself. My eyes were a bright blue green with specks of gold in them. Normally they are just a pale soft green. So it’s a nice change ‘to bad they don’t always look like this’

I finally dragged myself away from the mirror and made my way back to my room so that I could get some homework done and maybe find the file that I saved of the so called “not turned in” report. ‘such bullshit I so turned that paper in.’

I pulled on my favorite T-shirt and some tight fitting jeans, I had them about half way up my butt when the door burst open and I fell over trying to hide.

“Oh shit Sieris, you scared the hell outta me!”

“You were scared! You bust in here while I had my pants half on! I about shit myself!” I struggled to stand up so that I could finish pulling them on. “So I haven’t seen you in a few days Erin where have you been.”

“Around.”

‘I’m sure you have.’ but I kept that to myself. Sara is a world class slut and only come to the dorm room for fresh cloths or… other things. “Getting some new cloths?” I asked as I sat down in front of my laptop.

“Actually I kind of need the room, like right now and well can‘t you just go stay in your friends dorm for the night or something?” I gawked at her. She had never asked anything like this before.

“Uhm no. Actually I can’t, why?!”

“Because the guy I’m with isn’t suppose to be intimate with anyone, something about how his coach won’t let him while they are in season.” ‘NO FUCKING WAY!’

“Don‘t tell me is it Connor Briggs?”

“Yah, wait, don’t tell me that you slept with him to?”

“No that’s why he broke up with me.” She shrugged and smirked at me.

“Sorry to hear that you let such a nice piece of ass go.”

“Ugh, take the damn place it‘s yours I‘ll figure something out.” I grabbed my laptop, and put it in an overnight bag, threw in a few of the books I would need and a few other things then picked up my keys from the desk and walked out the door muttering “Whore” as I closed it.

I looked at my watch, ‘only two p.m. damn. What the hell am I going to do all day. Where am I going to sleep.’ Spotting a nice looking tree near the outdoor lunch area I sat down under it hoping to get some homework done.

I opened my Laptop, textbooks, and a notebook. Looking for anything that I could use in my paper for History. It all seemed unimportant. The past is the past I say what’s done is done its not like there is anything we can do to change it, so why bother learning it? I mean yah sure if your interested in it and feel so gung-ho about it whatever, but I don’t think you should be forced into it.

Looked at my watch again, not even ten minutes had passed. I closed my books finding them utterly useless. After I put the things, that I just took out away, I leaned my head back against the tree and stared at the clouds.

Bunny hopping over a fence, dragon fighting a cloud-knight, castle, bear on a ball, dog sitting in a basket. Maggie and I always played this game when we were outside. ‘I miss you Maggs’ I closed my eyes, it felt like Maggie was dead and I was the one that killed her.

Something shinny flashed in front of my eyes and I immediacy opened them, and flung my arms in front of me, thinking something was attacking me. Only after I realized that something wasn’t flying at my head, and it was just a reflection, did I see where it was coming from.

A girl with red hair was wearing a silver bracelet, her hands were all over someone’s body. She was leaning her back against tree facing away from me and the person she was kissing was facing me. The woman she was kissing… “wait WOMAN?! Oh my god. She was kissing another woman!” My mouth dropped.

I swear it was like the woman facing me had ESP or something because as soon as I realized that they were both women, her eyes flew open and looked directly at me. I immediately closed my mouth and diverted my gaze back at the clouds. After waiting a minute or so I turned back to the two women kissing.

‘She’s still looking at me. Oh fuck now she’s walking over here. Why is she walking over here?!’ I could feel my face grow hotter as she neared me. I looked anywhere but at her or her {lover, girlfriend, friend?} Anywhere but them. My eyes found the ground, and I saw her combat boots stop right in front of me.
‘Oh Shit’

“Did you want to join?” she said sounding very serious. My face flush an even deeper red.

“I‘m Sure I don’t know what you mean.” I looked up at her.

“I saw you looking at us, and I figured the way you were looking at us, you either never seen two girls kiss or wanted to join us.”

“I wasn’t staring I just…” I started gathering my things together.

“You just were?” I looked back up at her. She was sneering at me.

“No, I was just looking in your direction.” I blushed again. ‘Just leave me alone what did I ever do to you?’ “I‘m sorry It just surprised me I never seen two girls…”

“What. Kiss?” All I could manage was a small nod, I stood up and started walking off in the opposite direction hoping she wouldn’t follow me.

“Maybe next time I see you I can show you how it feels to kiss another girl!” She laughed as she turned her heels and walked back to her girlfriend, or what ever she was.

I ran as fast as I could to the college’s recreational center ‘What a bitch! Why would she say something like that.’ I walked into the women’s locker room and found my locker. I changed into my swim suit and walked out into the pool area. ‘She didn’t have to embarrass me like that, she doesn’t even know me she had no right!’ I slid into the hot tub to ponder more on what happened.

‘Ew how dare she, there was no way that I would ever want to kiss her let alone another girl. It’s not like she was being serious she was just messing with me to scare me.’

I sunk lower just relaxing and thinking of a place that I could stay the night. Maggie’s was a hell no. A hotel was out of the question. I only had enough cash on me for a cheep meal and a cup of coffee. Maybe I could beg the main manager of the Rec. to let me stay here for the night.

“Mmmmmh” The hot water felt good on my tense muscles, I closed my eyes.
‘Lips, red, beautiful, a woman’s, her hair raven black, Oh god she was beautiful’ My eyes flew open, I had momentarily fallen asleep. ‘Was, was I… dreaming of that girl that I saw at the lunch area.’

I jumped out of the hot tub and jumped into the pool. The cool water after the steaming hot tub felt nice. I started doing laps, the more I thought of it the faster I swam.

‘There is no way I would EVER kiss HER.’ *Flip, Kick off wall*,
The nerve of that bitch.’ *stroke, stroke, stroke, flip, kick off wall*, ’who does she think she is walken over to me like that and… ‘OH SHE MAKES ME SO MAD!’ *Stop*.

I held onto the wall for support as I tried to catch my breath. ‘Shit, this bitch is fucking with my head, and she doesn’t even know it.’ I got out of the pool heading back to the women’s room. After I changed back into my cloths I headed for the front desk.

“He Janet. Is Lu around.” I had worked at the Rec. my freshman year and ended up becoming good friends with the employees.

“Hey Sieris, sorry she off today.” I nodded and frowned, there was no way that I was going to be able to stay here not with out Lu’s permission at any rate. That scratches off that idea.

“Oh, well ok then never mind see ya around Janet.”

“Sorry sweet. But listen you need to come around more often ok we miss you.” I laughed, in truth I missed them to, why I gave up this job was beyond me.

“Ok.” I waved goodbye and headed out the door.

I decided to head to the The LeanBean Coffee shop. I really needed to get some work done and The LeanBean was almost always empty so it was a great place to concentrate. I walked in and got right to work.

I stretched and looked at my watch it was ten-thirty at night the place was about to close so I decided to get out of the way. I paid my fee and packed up my things. I started to head back to my room when I remember that my whore of a roommate was fucking that slut Connor.

’Maybe I should march right in to Maggie’s room drag her ass out and back and into my room. That would show her, that would show all of them.’ I decided I was better than all that bullshit and headed strait to my car. It was the only option that I had left at this point.

I jingled my keys trying to find the right one that would unlock my door, accidentally dropping them I bent down. As I stood back up I heard someone laughing behind me. I spun around.

“Well if it isn’t the girl that wants to kiss me?”

*Hey hope you all like this so far. It was suppose to be a one-shot get me to start writing again but I don’t think that will happen. (the one-shot part I mean.)Oh and for those of you who are following “Sam“ I’m sorry that I haven’t updated recently, I’ve been busy and lost my writing edge. But hopefully this story will help to bring that back. It will probably be a short story (I ‘would never’ want to Kiss you) just a few chapters.
