Prologue
“The cause of the fire…”
“The fire’s cause…”
“The reason for the outburst…”
“Is still to be determined,”
“Has not been concluded,”
“Is still unknown,”
“While the structural integrity of the building degraded,”
“Details show the collapsed building,”
“Due to the state of the building,”
“All confirmed dead but,”
“Parents, children, animals all confirmed dead but,”
“There were no survivors to the disaster but,”
“One child.”
The reports on that day, the 9th of April were somber save the one glimmer of hope in the one little girl who, reporters say, was touched by angels in the raging inferno that took the lives of near a hundred people in the apartment building. The girl was dubbed the ’Miracle Child’ and was placed in an orphanage in hopes that she’d be adopted into an understanding family who would treat her like the gem most people saw her to be.
She was named Tenshi and was adopted shortly after by a kind couple who was unable to have children… on that somber day, a city was given hope…
Tenshi grew up to be an understanding and perceptive young woman, and as soon as her foster parents saw she was old enough, they told her that she was adopted and why. They explained what they knew about the fire and how she had managed to survive and why it was kept as quiet as possible, why it was supposed to stay within the city… and how it explained the increase of angels in all parts of the area… to protect them from demons…
