Who Doesn’t Love A Good Fairytale?
It is just shy of an hour ‘til sunset as our twisted little fairy tale begins… A mother rabbit thinks a harsh warning is all that is needed for a point to be grasped by a carefree child. Oh how trusting dear parents can be, not matter the breed…
“Now remember Saddle… Saddle?! Would you look at me when I am speaking to you, young man! It’s going to be dark soon! I wanted you to leave a good twenty minutes ago, so now you’ll have to hurry. Mrs. Brigsbie is down at the very end of the central north trail. She needs these herbs for her son. If he doesn’t get them tonight he will be all the worse come morning. If he were to reach that point I don’t know If even I could mix something potent enough to help him. Tell her to mix this with hot water. Now as I was saying remember to stick. To. The. Path.” A wild bunny hybrid spoke sternly as she limped quickly around the main den of her large burrow. If it weren’t for the fuzzy tail, long drooping ears- that blended perfectly into her snow white hair- and slightly raised paw pads on her hands and feet, she would have looked like any other normal human woman dressed in fur skins and woven plant matter.
The bunny suddenly turned to face a much younger male, causing him to jump slightly, as she continued, “I’m sure Mrs. Brigsbie will be happy to let you stay the night if you can’t make it back in time to beat sundown. If that happens I want you to be on your BEST behavior. Offer to help with anything that may need to be done, and be sure to say please and thank you. I want you to be more helpful there, then you are here when we have more then just two or three sick patients to look after. Am I clear?”
The young male bunny was pale, slim, and looked to be about fifteen or sixteen in human years. However when considering how much slower hybrids age compared to humans, he was most likely in his mid to late thirties. He had his mothers snow white hair and pale pink eyes, but where both of her ears were white, his right ear was a light brown. And since he wore no shirt, as many male, and even some female hybrids went with out, three oval shaped brown spots could be seen on the small of his back. One was large and two smaller almost forming a triangle. His voice was soft as he answered her “Crystal clear mama… but…”
The mother rabbit cocked her head to the side and twitched her nose, “But what? Come now, where’s my big brave boy who brags about being the fastest in the forest every morning at the days start race as he crosses the finish line first? I know you can do this Saddle. Trust me honey. I don’t like sending you anymore then you like going, but it has to be you. I have four sick squirrels in the second den, and a fawn that should be birthing a doe anytime now, and with this busted ankle…” She stopped to wave her hand vaguely at her well wrapped foot, “I couldn’t make it if I ran like the wind. You can. You know which root hole leads to Mrs. Brigsbie’s home so-”
“Lady- Lady Snowflake! Please!” A strangled moan came from a room just a few feet down the under ground hall and made the hair stand up on both bunnies. Even the candles lining the halls appeared to flicker at the haunting sound. The long eared mother, now known as Snowflake, ushered her child towards the wooden door with metal brads as she shoved a small bag of dried herbs and mixed berries into his hands. “Saddle that’s it, no more time, now run! As soon as the sun has left the sky that big troublesome wolf and those three twisted foxes will be out and about and I won’t have my only son eaten! But nor will I have another child die on my watch if it can be helped. Now move!!!”
And with that the little bunny boy was shoved out as the door was slammed shut behind him. Saddle sat there in the wide mouthed dirt opening to his home trying to calm his heart as it hummed even faster then normal. Most of the animals in the woods that lived in underground homes had the same type of opening to try to hide in if they were ever trapped outside during the night. To help protect them if they needed a few more precious seconds to unlock doors and get in to safety. But he knew, as many had sadly learned first hand, that is was not truly a safe place to hide when meat eaters were out and about, and more to point... hungry.
Saddle heard a small crunch sound and both of his ears shot up to high points. It had sounded almost like a foot landing on dried leaves. As his body tensed he heard it again, and jumped when he heard just how close it was. Then he looked down and almost laughed at himself. He was clutching the small leather draw string bag tightly with both hands and doing so was crushing the content with out intending to. Thus causing the sound he had heard. Once he had talked himself threw what had happened and was convinced he had nothing to fear, Saddle took a deep breath and stepped out into the cool air. Saddle clucked his lucky tigers eye stone necklace for all the extra luck he knew he would need to get home with out dieing of a heart attack, among other things.
Looking around not a soul was in sight. All of the smart animals were already locked up safe and sound inside there nests, dens and burrows. And here he was standing out in the open. He may as well have had a “free dinner” sign hanging from his neck. Saddle looked up at the sky threw the branches. The sky was barely blue anymore. The oranges, yellows and deep purples had over taken most of the space above him as the sun sank dangerously close to the horizon.
Saddle had never in his whole life seen a sun set so clearly before. He was so mesmerized by the beautiful colors that, for a bit, he forgot why he was out there. And he failed to feel the presence of another nearby in the woods.
Saddle heard leaves rustle off to his left and snapped back to reality. “Oh man what am I doing?! I need to go. Mrs. Brigsbie’s is like a fifteen minute run from home. I’ve got to make it. No way am I spending the night with that old shrew.” And with those words hanging in the air around him, Saddle was off like a bullet. Two large glowing yellow eyes fallowed the target as he ran off to his destination.
It was several rushed minutes later that an out of breath bunny leaned against a door built from a root in the side of a massive old tree. Saddle knocked quickly on the door at least twenty times before a scratchy voice answered, “Be gone beasts! I won’t be fool enough to let you in my home!” Saddle rolled his eyes before yelling back, “Mrs. Brigsbie, it’s me! Saddle! Mama sent me with medicine for your son. Please open the door! It’s getting dark!”
Several clicks and bangs were heard as locks and make shift bolts were undone. Then, ever so slowly, the door clacked open and a beady black eye peeked out at him. Once it was seen that, indeed, it was the small fuzzy rabbit standing there in nothing but bottoms and fur anklets and wrist bands, the door opened the rest of the way.
The shrew looked hopeful as she ask in a withered voice, “So then your dear mother, Lady Snowflake, she did it? She managed to finish the mix? So quickly?”
The boy couldn’t help but smile a little. “Yes Ma’am! Here it is. My mother said to just mix it with hot water and make him drink it. Every drop has to be taken tonight.” Saddle held out the small pouch for her to take. As Mrs. Brigsbie took it he continued, “I’m sure Mama will send me back later for the pouch. I hope your son feels better. Now I really must be going! It will be dark soon!” And he was off again. He never heard the gray haired old shrew say, “But… it already is dark.” Mrs.Brigsbie heaved a deep sigh and relocked and bolted the door. She was honestly to worried about the health of her son and her own safety, to go off chasing a spry young hare, while it was dark out.
The stars twinkled brightly down at him as if trying to warn of things to come. Such a shame that frightened little bunnies rarely remember to head warnings…
Saddle Stopped a moment to try and catch his breath, something he hadn’t really done at the old shrews den before taking off again. He braced his arm against the harsh bark of a tree that he knew none had made into a home as of yet. As he looked around Saddle felt his heart speed up… When had it gotten so… dark… It was dark. The stars were out, the moon was up and it was DARK! He was so dead. If a fox didn’t rip him apart then his mother surely would.
Finding a new energy that was fueled by his fear, Saddle took off like a rocket. It was just a bit further to the start of the north trail and then the south trail started and his home was the very first one on it. He could already see it in his mind. How everything would look and how close home felt. He was almost safe.
As Saddle rounded the bend with the two big apple trees he knew he was just about home. Around the next veering turn was the start of this trail and then just about ten feet was his tree. Saddle was so preoccupied with thoughts of his nice, safe, warm home that he failed to see the trap laying on the ground. That is until he was hanging from a tree branch via a rope around his ankle.
“What? A rope? Here? Hunters? In the woods? Why now? Why wasn’t I looking where I was going! Gah! I’ve got to get down before the human who set this trap comes back to check it! Or-or worse…” The bunny rambled on to himself as he tried to fight for his freedom against the old rope. A deep laugh stopped him cold in his movements.
“Oh poor little bunny. I think it just got worse.” Saddle’s eyes bolted around trying to see who had spoken those dark words, only to widen to the size of saucers as a large clawed hand was gently placed against his bare back. Saddle felt his heart fall to his throat as he was slowly turned about to face a large man while still hanging midair.
The man had long black hair and two large pointed dog like ears nestled atop his head. He stood at what Saddle could only guess was over six foot tall. The strangers smile showed off well developed fangs. He had a scar across his nose that made him look almost roguish. A thick black tail was wagging behind him slowly and he was dressed in nothing but a dark fur wrap around his waste. But many beads and bones covered his body, around his neck, arms and chest… This had to be the wolf that had haunted his home since before Saddle was born.
A breathy, “Oh no…” Was all Saddle could mutter. The wolves thick tongue slid out and over his lips. “Look at the yummy little morsel I just found. I think you’ll take care of my hunger no problem. But I must first thank you for the complement. I had no idea my trapping skills were yet good enough to be confused for a human set trap. Though I did steal most of their knots to set this trap properly.” A devious smirk covered his lips as tears formed in the bunny’s eyes and slid down the forehead of his upside down face. The wolf leaned down to look Saddle in the eyes. “Oh why the long face, long ears?”
Saddle covered his face with both hands and started crying harder. “Easy now. If you start crying like that upside down you won’t be able to breath right. And what fun would you be dead?” Suddenly gravity took effect and Saddle was laying on his back, on the ground, looking up at the wolf as he toyed with a rather sharp looking knife. It only took Saddle a moment to reorient himself enough to know he had been cut down. And while yes the rope was still around his foot, he was still free and home was so close. Who would pass up a chance like that? And so he jumped to his feet and ran!… All of two feet… Then Saddle was spitting out dirt from his unplanned trip. Cold chuckling stopped him dead in his spot again.
“Silly little rabbit. I just caught you. Why would I let you go?” As the wolf spoke Saddle turned to look over his shoulder. He saw the wolves foot standing on the severed end of the rope. Saddle was about to try slipping the rope off when he was pounced on. “Please! Please Mr. Wolf, don’t eat me!” The wolf started laughing again. The dark haired hybrid then pushed up onto his hands and knees and looked down at the rabbit as he spoke in a softer tone of voice. “Now, who on earth said I was going to eat you?”
Saddle took a deep calming voice and bravely started to turn over to face his captor. He had a bit of a stutter as he spoke. “Yo-y-you said you were go-ing to. You s-said I would f-f-fill yourrrr-”
“Hunger? Yes. You will. Rather well. But I never said it was a hunger for food. Now I must ask. Is my little fluffer an innocent?” At the devilish smile the wolf flashed Saddle felt both of his ears droop lower then he even knew they could. With a teary voice he asked, “Why?”
The wolf leaned back a bit and took the rope in his hand, “Simple. Because.” The bunny ears flopped a bit as Saddle cocked his head. “Because? Because isn’t a reason. Mama said so.” The wolf looked at him and closed his eyes as he let loose a mighty laugh. “Oh my stars. Your mommy said so? Well I think that answers my question of your purity. Hahaha! Fine if my little thumper wants reasons then I guess I can give him a few. Because I’m in heat. Because you’re the cutest thing I’ve seen in these woods in over a decade. Because you smell like heaven. Because I caught you fare and square. And because if you fight me I’ll gut you alive and leave you here to die all alone in the dark. How are those for reasons?”
Saddle’s body slowly went lax beneath the big wolf. This was it? He was going to die? Either he ran and the wolf killed him on the spot or he laid there and took it like a wolf bitch in heat and then the wolf killed him. Saddle had been told enough stories about meant eaters to know that the wolfs words couldn’t be trusted. No matter what happened he was doomed. By trying to run home he had sealed his own fate. The least he could do was not struggle. He knew enough about male coupling to know that if it wasn’t done slowly and gently it hurt. And that if the bottom fought, no matter how nice the top was, that it hurt like hell! Saddle was sure the wolf wouldn’t be kind in mating. So he could at least try to make it easier on himself. And the only way to do that was to not fight…
The taller male then started to move about again. He was tying both of Saddles hands together at the wrist, as if he was praying. “Hmm, already no fight left in you? Or did I get myself a smart little creature? What, not in the mood to talk? Ah well, if you don’t feel like talking then I may as well fill the void in more then one way. My name is Koga. I want you screaming it to the stars by the time we’re done.”
Saddle could only whine and sniffle. “Oh, keep crying like that and I wont be able to go slow bunny boy.” The wolf licked his lips as he spoke. Then he sat back and jerked the boy up onto his lap. Saddle let out a small gasp but it was enough of a gap for the wolf to shove his way into the smaller males mouth. Thus an unwilling duel began. It only took a few minutes for the young hybrid to notice something strange happening. While it was true the wolf had been fondling him, Saddle hadn’t gotten very hard, do to fear. But the strange tingling feeling overtaking his mouth was starting to cause just what the wolf had been after. His arousal. His mouth was hot and was making breathing harder. It was like a sexual heat was over taking his whole body from his mouth down. And the sexual inexperienced mind was to fogged over with lust to see he was humping himself against the lap of the wolf that had him tied up and trapped, and how wrong it all was. Saddle just wanted release.
“Pl-p-please.” The bunny managed to pull his mouth away from the wolf just long enough to utter the single word. Koga’s eyes had a red ring to them that looked as if they were glowing. His sharpest teeth glinted in the moonlight as he smiled down at the boy. Then he shoved two of the fingers of the hand not holding the lop eared boy in place were shoved into his gasping mouth.
Koga’s chest rumbled a bit with a small growl. “If you want it so bad I better hurry this along then thumper. You better suck those good or you’ll be saying please for a whole different reason.” But the threat was hardly needed since Saddle had been sucking on the fingers rather enthusiastically the whole time they had been in his mouth.
It didn’t take long for the meat eater to deem his fingers slick enough. Though, in hindsight they most likely weren’t slick enough, but when heat is bearing down on a hybrid it is often hard to tell when something is “enough”. Yet he still pulled them out of one hole and shoved them into another. Saddle gave a rather strong jerk with his two strong legs braced on either side of Koga’s legs. But the wolf held strong and jerked him back down, further onto the fingers. The pain was almost enough to pull his mind from the heat induced haze. The two fingers inside of him stabbed at something that made his whole body tense and fall forward, onto a strong shoulder.
The wolf murmured into the long ear by his lips, “Good boy. That’s it. That’s it. Keep riding ‘em. Damn I got lucky this year.” But most of the words were drowned out by the thundering heart beat Saddle heard in his ears. “Here comes the good part baby.” Koga pulled his fingers free then reached down and pulled the side of his fur kilt and it fell open revealing his bright red, throbbing member. Before the cute little bunny could even look down to see what his captor was doing, hips were being jerked and he was being filled.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”
A scream of pain, of a wild animal in need. How it echo’s in the dead of night. It is given to call for help. Yet in a heard, why is it that the weak and injured are left to fall pray to the lions and wolves? Self preservation is a strong drive. Strong enough to keep all animals cooped up tight, warm and safe at night.
Koga gave a sigh or relief as the red in his eyes faded a bit. But after the scream had faded a painful whimper was heard by his pointed ears, causing his heat to flair higher and hotter then it had been the entire day. He found himself pushing forward and dropping the rabbit onto his back. Koga didn’t even wait to have both of his hands braced against the ground before he started thrusting at a harsh and inhuman pace.
Saddle’s bound hands fell back over his head and hit the moss at the base of the tree they were close to… Wasn’t it the tree that his friend Raptsure lived in? Along with his parents and nine siblings? Could they have heard him? Could they help him? Oh it hurt so bad. All he could do was grasp the protruding tree root by his hands and pray for it to end. Saddle couldn’t help by wonder how the wolf had made his fingers feel so good but made this so unpleasant. The hybrid bunny could have kept going with his train of thought for countless hours. Possibly until his eminent death. But a train of thought can only go so far before it pulls into the station. Or more to our stories point, is derailed by a well aimed thrust to a simple prostate gland.
Saddle finally opened his eyes and met Koga’s gaze. The eyes that locked with his were a burning red and rather unnerving. But another powerful thrust brought the stars from the heavens to earth and made them dance before his eyes. In that moment, and the many to fallow, those ruby red eyes before him may as well have belonged to an angel as far as Saddle was concerned.
They continued to grind and thrust against each other for so long that saddle lost track of time. The faint glow of a red sunrise was just at the edge of his vision. The wolf released into his body for what must have been the 6th time before his small shivering body gave out and he faded into a near peaceful oblivion.
Koga’s tense body relaxed and he flipped over onto his back. As he was laying there he couldn’t help but stare at the adorable face before him. The wolves clawed hand raised and he brushed his knuckles against the now not so innocent bunnies cheek. There were dried tear tracks on Saddles cheeks and his ears were as shabby looking as his hair. But he was still a beauty. Oh such a beauty. To much so to let him go.
A twitter was heard in the distance as a dark wolf ear swiveled to catch the sound. Leaning up his sharp eyes saw the tip of the raising sun in the distance. So what to do? Leave his treat here and suffer the rest of his subdued heat… Or… Take it with him… It had been a while since he had stolen someone from this forest… What would be the harm? So, decision made, the wolf grabbed his forgotten fur wrap and retied it. The bunny gave a little twitch in his sleep and it brought a rugged little smirk to Koga’s face. Noting that the sun was steadily raising and that the other animals would be out shortly the wolf grabbed his prized and was off like a flash into the bushy under thrush.
Some time later a familiar long eared mother can be seen making her way slowly down a dirt path with the help of a badger hybrid.
A ruff but loving voice boomed out of the man despite using his personal version of a whisper, “My Lady I wish you had let me fetch the lad on my own. You don’t need to be moving about on that leg of yours until it's healed.”
A heavenly laugh was heard in the quite morning. “Oh honestly Trapper. Who is the forest healer? You or I?” Snowflake’s arm was slung over around the back of his neck as she tightened her grip on Trapper’s shoulder where it was perched. “You are, of course, My Lady.” Lady Snowflake rolled her eyes with a smile and said, “For goodness sake Trapper! How many times have I told you about that! We’ve been friends since before I even started my training as a child. Just call me Snowflake.” Trapper slung his other muscular arm around the female rabbit’s slim waist with a little tug that nearly took her off her feet and murmured, “Aye My Lady.” with a little grin on his lips.
The playful banter continued as the slowly made their way down the well worn path. After they finally reached Mrs. Brigsbie’s Trapper nearly took the door off its hinges when he knocked. Mrs. Brigsbie opened the door to see Trapper blushing a mighty red, scratching the back of his neck, as Lady Snowflake tried to smother her giggles behind her hands.
Mrs. Brigsbie bowed her head before she began to speak. “Thank you My Lady! The medicine you sent was a blessing. My son, his fever it broke an hour after he drank it. And right now he is sleeping peacefully. Thank you… Thank you.”
“Please,” Snowflake began, “your thanks are not needed. I am just happy to hear he is doing well. But I am also here to retrieve-”
“Oh of course right away. It will just take a moment, My lady.” The shrew interpreted her and disappeared into her home leaving the door slightly cracked.
Trapper, in the mean time, had regained his composure. “See My Lady? I could have easily retrieved him for you and you could have given your leg a rest.”
The white rabbit hummed a bit and replied as she pat Trapper on the arm, “Yes yes, I know you could have my dear old friend. But it was still a good excuse for me to get out and enjoy the cool morning air.” Before anything else could be said, Mrs. Brigsbie returned holding the small leather bag that the medicine had been delivered in. “Here you go My Lady.”
Lady Snowflake cocked her head to the side and twitched her nose in confusion before giving a low chuckle and excepting the small brown bag. “I thank you for returning my mixing pouch, but I think I should like to pick up my child as well.”
And that the shrew jerked her head up looking just as confused as Snowflake has a minute ago. The rabbit hybrids face dropped and then her brows knitted together in worry and fear. It was far to silent for a while. No one know what to say. Questions and answers bounced around that nobody wanted to ask or give. Snowflake closed her eyes and took a ragged breath before trying to speak. Her first attempt failed and she bit her lip as she fought to keep her tears at bay.
“My… My child…” She opened her eyes but couldn’t bring herself to focuses on anything. “My son. My little Saddle… Didn’t he stay here after he delivered this to you.” She held up the pouch to show what she was referring to.
“I… My Lady…” The old shrew looked almost guilty as she spoke to the ground. “He was here, BUT… He took off right afterwords. I thought he would make it home safely, what with how fast he was going... So I... did not think to try and stop him… I am gravely sorry… My Lady…”
The healers lips quivered, almost revealing her slightly bucked front teeth. She moved to make a quick turn, only to have her ankle throb and her legs gave out under her own weight. She would have gone down face first if two strong arms had not stopped her decent. Trapper stood there unable to think of a single thing to say that would make anything better. He hadn’t felt this useless since he was a scrawny kid that had broken his arm and had been to afraid of trying to move. Of course Lady Snowflake had been his hero that day… So why couldn’t he be hers today? Why? He kneeled down so she could rest her legs more and leaned her against his broad chest and let her cry for the loss of her only child…
