Knight Angel

The Beginning

The being watched her. The one woman worthy to carry the last. She was strong-willed. Goodness shined from her very presence. The creature, being seemingly male, crouched down on the rooftop of the large skyscraper. White wings, tipped with gray speckles, opened fully from behind his back and he took flight into the crisp chilly night.

He followed his Carrier. Vowing to protect her until the end of his existence, if that day ever came forth. He swooped down, landing on her doorstep. Large, masculine hands felt the wood of the door, almost in a caress. But he pictured his hands touching her soft skin as he filled her womb with his seed of light. She would be cherished eternally.

He had searched many millenia for someone with a pure heart and now he had found one. He could feel her, sense her, smell her. Everything about her screamed innocence. She was perfect. Especially in his Lord's eyes.

His sight melted through the barrier between him and his Carrier. He could now see her. Her silkened black hair, shining every time she moved her head. He longed to run his fingertips through the tendrils. His eyes held hers, even though she was not aware of his presence.

"Come to me, Lilliana, my Carrier." he spoke into her mind.

Lilliana felt a strong pull on her mind, body, and soul. There was no confusion, nor was the command from an evil being. She grasped her golden cross, hanging from the frail chain, into her palm delicately and began to pray.

"Go, my child. I have chosen you for a great and rare task." Lilliana gasped once she heard the Lord's voice in her ear. He had chosen her, she questioned herself in surprise. Nevertheless, she was honored and walked to her front door. With a deep breath she carefully opened it and her eyes widened at what stood before her.

"Lilliana," the angel whispered. "Do not be afraid. I will not hurt you."

She was at loss for words. She couldn't stop from studdering. Her hand still held the cross close to her heart. Was this a good or bad angel, she wondered. He smiled kindly at her. Her nerves slowly started to settle. She felt nothing but light from this angel. The light of her Lord.

"Why, what.." she tried to get out, but her words were still jumbled.

Again he smiled. "You are the chosen one to carry the last of light."

"What are you talking about?" she asked, thoroughly confused.

He stepped up to her and placed his hand, palm down, on her womb. The look in his eyes told her everything she needed to know. He explained to her that none has been as pure-hearted as her for a very long time. And the Lord, himself, had deemed her the final carrier.

"I'm still a virgin, though." she murmured. "Am I to be the next Mary?"

He shook his head. "Not exactly."

"How is God suppose to impregnate me?"

"He isn't, Lilliana." he confirmed.

She scrunched her brow. "Then who?"

The angel smiled lovingly at her. "I am."

Lilliana threw her hands up. "Wait a second, are you telling me angel's can have children?"

He winked at her. "Only if He allows it. If it is His plan."

"So," she figgeted. "When are we suppose to do this?"

"He said now is the time, while Lucifer and his angels have no comprehension."

"Am I in danger if I do this?" she questioned him, her eyes downcast.

"I cannot lie, but yes, you are. You will be under our protection. There is no need to fear, even if he does visit you.

She let him into her house. "What is your name?"

He moved behind her and pulled the strap of her thin nightie down. "I am known as Raphael."

She gasped. "The archangel?"

He laughed softly. "Yes, Lilliana."

"Oh, my sweet Lord of Lord's."

Lilliana's comment made Raphael grin at her with adoration. He would show her pleasure beyond any she had ever dreamed about. And unlike the pain one would feel if a human man was taking a human woman, Lilliana would not. She would feel the rapture of ecstasy.

That night was the only night Lilliana ever became pregnant. Throughout her pregnancy she was attacked many times. But, just as Raphael stated, the protection around her was too strong and overcame the vile plans of Lucifer. No evil could touch her.

There were ups and downs of being chosen for this special task. All would be saved from being killed by the hands of all that was evil. Yet once the woman delivered the child, she died in childbirth. This consequence had already been explained to Lilliana.

It was the year of 2011. The seventh day of the seventh month. The time read 3:33 a.m. At the mid-wife center a high-pitched cry of a newborn baby girl echoed through the birthing room. She had a full-head of black hair. And the most astonishing color of eyes. Silver, sparkling like rare diamonds, much like Raphael's. There was a birthmark on each of her shoulder blades. The shape was very peculiar; it looked like small angel wings.

"Natalya Leora Jones.." was all Lilliana could say as she took her last breath.

The mid-wives done their best to revive her, bring her back from her eternal slumber. Yet it was no use. Some other power was ready for her to return to where she belonged. Where she would be welcomed with opened arms. And she was.

Lilliana was greeted by Raphael, who embraced her with a loving smile. They had fallen in love with each other. They walked the golden streets, hand in hand, to the throne where their proud Lord awaited.

He rose from his thrown and spoke. "She will bring peace before the storm."
