You Should Be Grateful
prologue.
The bell rang twelve minutes ago. The note said to come two minutes ago. He was late.
Julius dried his sweaty palms against the indigo fabric of his slacks. He paced nervously around the empty desks and chairs of the classroom while breathing deeply in a feeble attempt to calm his nerves. He stopped and unfolded the note again. There was no denying the words on the note, even with the ink faded where he had folded and unfolded the paper.
Julius,
Let's talk. Room 314. 2:30.
Theo
Julius crumpled the paper and shoved it into his blazer's pocket. He ran a hand through his closely-cropped hair and let out a shaky breath. Goddamn, did he know? Julius walked to the back of the classroom and paused. Did Theo know about him? They shared one class together, but they had never spoken to each other. He would have never known the small boy existed if not for the fact that he sat two seats ahead of him. There was no reason for them to meet! How had he found out?
Oh god, had he found out his secret? Julius sat down roughly on one of the cold, hard chairs. Was Theo going to tell someone? Blackmail him? Oh god, it'd mean the end of his life for him. Every well-constructed lie formed to perfect the image of his appearance as a normal boy. A perfectly normal boy.
Damn! What had hinted Theo off? Was it the too-long looks in the locker room? His near-obsessive talk of girls? His hand tightened into a fist. If Theo knew, he would just have to beat the kid until he'd shut up.
The sound of the door slamming snapped Julius out of his thoughts. He lifted his head and almost instantly locked eyes with the seemingly fragile boy. The cobalt blue eyes sent chills down his spine and he had to force himself to look elsewhere. He turned his attention out the window, watching as the stormy winds rustled the trees.
"Julius," A soft hand touched his shoulder, causing Julius to jump. He turned around to face the blue-eyed boy. He shivered as he became progressively more uncomfortable. When had Theo crossed the room?
"Julius, I can help you," The voice alarmed him. It was so light that it could have been a whisper. Julius edged himself away from Theo in order to put some distance between them. He wondered why he hadn't taken more notice of the boy before. From the close proximity, Julius could tell that Theo was pretty, androgynous. Loose, chocolate curls framed his pale skin, which was spattered with freckles. A cute button nose. Small, doll-like lips. A round face. He was adorable in the school uniform, the navy sweater and slacks seemed too big. The maroon tie misshapen from inexperienced fingers.
"What the hell do you want?" Julius snapped out, using anger as a tool to pull himself out from his thoughts. Such dirty thoughts. Terrible! It was all his fault. His eyes narrowed as he glared down at the petite boy. "Do I look like I need your help?"
"I can make you happy," Theo said in his whispery voice. He wrapped his arms around Julius' neck as he balanced on the tip of his toes. Theo pressed his face into Julius' chest. Julius was a basketball player and he towered over Theo's below-average stature.
"Get away from me!" Julius cried out in disgust and pressed his hands against the smaller boy to shove him away. Remarkably, the boy didn't budge. Julius reached behind his neck and tried to pry the boy's hands apart. Theo hardly moved a muscle.
"The hell?!" Theo was a known bookworm. It should have been as easy as slicing through butter to get the boy to move. Julius tried again with more brute force. Still, the boy remained. He laughed, even.
"I know what you're hiding. I can make things better," Theo gave an enigmatic smile as he forced Julius to lean down towards him. His doll-like lips pressed harshly against his own. Julius gasped at the sudden kiss, which allowed for Theo to sneak his tongue in.
"I'm here to help you," Theo asserted as he pulled away and placed his hands on Julius' shoulders. He threw the larger boy onto the ground.
Julius cried out as he knocked over several chairs and desks as he fell. The blue-eyed boy grabbed him and flipped him onto his back. His head span as he tried to comprehend the situation. It was impossible to even imagine Theo possessing the amount of strength necessary to do this. He groaned as Theo straddled his hips and held his head with his hands. He was forced to stare into the chilling blue eyes.
"You should be grateful," The boy smiled, eyes turning red, before he assaulted Julius' neck with nips and kisses.
He wanted to cry out as the boy loosened his tie. He wanted to swat the boy away, but he couldn't. No, he didn't. Didn't want to. Each look into those pretty eyes made everything seem right. Theo wasn't doing this for any ulterior motive. He must have seen those longing looks and the fleeting moments of closeted paranoia.
Damn, he was being ridiculous for even thinking of harming the boy. Theo was such a sweet kid for helping him out like this. So beautiful too. Such pretty eyes, such soft lips. Theo was going to makes things right.
He should be grateful.
