“Ahh!!”
I felt the cold ground against my face as they pushed me away, laughing amusedly at my pain. They were speaking words to each other, I knew, but I could no longer decipher them. I felt so… empty. Tears welled up in my eyes as pain shot through my entire body every time I breathed; the two men kneeled beside my head. “You were pretty good,” one quietly said to me, running a dirty hand through my hair. My eyes closed and I only wanted to be away from them. “Maybe we’ll hook up with you again sometime.” They then stood and left me, just as the rain started pouring again.
I slowly got myself to my feet, gasping for air but not finding any willing to fill my lungs without making me feel like I would break in half. I opened my eyes slowly, noticing that my legs had been walking on their own. I looked at my surroundings… and had no idea where I was. The whole ‘getting home thing’ was becoming increasingly hopeless. My vision started to blur as I continued to walk, but I managed to see someone off in the distance. “Hey,” I tried to call, but barely any sound escaped my lips as I felt my legs give out, and I went tumbling to the ground. Whoever had been there most likely didn’t hear me, and so I just stared at the ground underneath me. The road was starting to flood, water mixing with blood. I guess they hurt me more than I had thought. Shifting uneasily on my side, I felt my head start to ache even worse than it did already. That’s when I heard the steps coming closer, and saw the leather black boots in front of my eyes. There were specks of blood on them, and on the pants, and a lot more on the shirt, and his face… was covered in it. So maybe there was such a thing known as mercy after all… Instead of dying alone in this pathetic state, I was going to be murdered by this guy. There was just so much… blood……

The first sound I really noticed was the running water. It was more like a shower than rain, and I was warm and drying now, so I opened my eyes to look around. The sight that greeted me was a very clean hotel room. I sat up, but only momentarily after having to lay on my side again. Did I have broken ribs?
After a few more minutes, my savior came out of his bathroom and looked at me. He looked… so hot. With short brown hair framing a pale face, and such powerful dark brown eyes, he looked like he could be a model! He was even pretty tall compared to me, but I’m not even a very tall person to begin with. He just looked so damn sexy! I felt my cheeks blush and I wished that I hadn’t cut my hair the day before, just so I could hide the color warming my face. He really didn’t seem so interested, though… but most guys usually ask me out at least once before deciding I’m too weird for them. I mean like, I’m a bit on the thin side, it runs in the family, and I do tend to get ill easy, which also runs in the family on my ‘mother’s’ side. I wear sexy girls’ clothing, everything from revealing blouses to mini-skirts and knee-high boots. I was actually quite popular at school, but never really cared to date.
And this guy wasn’t interested… but he did walk over to the bedside table and pick up a small bag that he then tossed over to me. I looked at it; a bag of potato chips. Well, food is food, I guess, so I opened it and started eating them. I didn’t realize how hungry I was!
As I ate, more things became clear to me. I was attacked in a dark alley. Two males, both equally sickening, had made me do… something I did not want to think about. Then this guy showed up, covered in blood… “Why were you covered in blood?” I suddenly asked him, catching his attention again.
He narrowed his eyes at me. “You’re imagining things.” What a sexy voice he has!
“But… I saw you covered in blood! Right before passing out!”
“And how do you know you didn’t hallucinate it?”
I had to shut my mouth. I couldn’t prove anything like that. Maybe he was right and I did dream it up after all. But it had seemed so real.

He had his driver take me to where he thought was my home after I gave him an address. It was my friend Beaui-Lein’s address though. I needed to talk to him. This was the kind of stuff I would never keep from him. I just hoped he wouldn’t jump on the vampire idea. It would be pretty cool if I had actually been saved by a real vampire, but everyone knows they don’t really exist. Still, there was all that blood around his face… I shook my head. It was just too silly to think about, even for me.
As soon as the driver stopped the rather expensive convertible, I told him a thank you and climbed out, walking up to Beaui-Lein’s front door. He was going to help me make sense of things, whether he wanted to or not. And then I would have to tackle him to the floor so he wouldn’t call the police about the attack. I couldn’t talk to them. I wouldn’t.
