Shadow of death part 1
chapter 1
Sylvia had been 18 for a week and was now going to parties and clubs others her age had been going to since when they could sneak in. Sylvia was getting ready to meet her friend Tanya. She had been getting ready for about four hours now and still couldn’t choose an outfit. The choices she had were a short mini skirt with a backless top and high heeled shoes, a black leather tight dress and shoes or tight black jeans and mini-top to go with boots. She was about to start rummaging through her closet for another outfit when there was a knock at the door.
“Aren’t you done yet, Jeez, I have been waiting for four hours Syl, what’s taking so long?” asked a girl round about Sylvia’s age; she had short brown hair hanging off her shoulders and shocking green eyes. She was wearing leather pants and a backless top with high heeled shoes.
“No Tanya I can’t choose, help me,” pleaded Sylvia pointing to the clothes laid out.
“Wear the black jeans and mini top, it suits you better,” Tanya stated.
“Ok be right back,” Sylvia said, heading off to the bathroom to change. “So who are we meeting at the club?” shouted Sylvia through the bathroom door.
“Oh, just James and his friend Mark,” Tanya informed her.
“Oh James, so I finally get to meet your mystery guy huh?” she replied.
During the ‘chitchat’ Tanya had got up and had gone to stand in front of Sylvia’s mirror readjusting her make up.
“You know if you keep doing that one day you will crack that mirror,” joked Sylvia.
“Ha ha, I forgot to laugh, I see you’ve finished. Look out the window, is that snow?” Tanya replied with a smile.
“Are we going then or what?” asked Sylvia.
“We’re going,” Tanya replied, dragging Sylvia out of her bedroom door and house.
“Slow down Tan, what’s your rush?” Sly asked Tanya who was half dragging and half pulling her down the streets to the bus stop.
“I don’t want to be late,” replied Tan, who had just put her arm out for the bus.
“We’re not going to be late,” replied Syl as she paid for her ticket and sat down.
“Well, its better to be early then late,” replied Tan as she had looked at the time and saw that they still had 45 minutes till they had to meet the boys.
