A Dangerous Love
Chapter 1: The Meeting
It was a day just like any other. She was walking the same path that she walked everyday. She could see the door way to her apartment and the doorman that always greeted her. But for some reason the walk felt like it was miles away, well she did have a long estranged day at the office. Her feet were killing her and she had the worst migraine she has had in a long time. Just before she got to the door a man ran into her.
“Excuse me” he said. She would normally just keep walking, cause face it when you are in New York you don’t think twice, everyone bumps into you and well it’s the norm. But she felt something strange just now when he did bump into her. She turned into the direction he was walking. He was holding his side as if he was hurt. “Sir I noticed you are holding your side are you ok?” He turned to her and she stopped in her tracks he was breath taking he had jet black hair and the most piercing blue eyes. But the eyes seemed a little sad for some reason.
“I am quite fine thank you for your concern” she stopped looking at his face and wondered down to where his hand was resting. “ Sir you don’t look fine to me you have blood on your shirt!” She ran up to him and removed his hand so she could see the how bad the wound actually was. She gasped in shock, he was badly hurt. He grabbed her hand and gently moved her back. “I have no time to be nagged at like a little child now if you will excuse me.” She stopped and watched as he walked away. He was near the corner when he turned around and was walking briskly back to where she was standing looking on in awe. She looked at what he was running from and it was two men in black suits. “Oh no I don’t want to get into any trouble with what you in”
“ I don’t know what your Talking about!” as he grabbed her arm and started running. After they were far enough away he stopped. “ Holy shit my feet hurt.” as she held on to the light pole she slowly took off her heels and reveled the cuts on her heels. The gentleman walk over to her and took her foot into his hand and ripped pieces of his jacket off for make shift cushions. She looked at him as he was tending to her wound and she didn’t get the creepy vibe from him. She didn’t noticed that he was looking at her staring at him, she quickly turned her face away so that he couldn’t see her face turn as red a an apple. “What are you blushing for see something you liked.” “I.. not a chance was I thinking about you, you are so full of yourself.” All he did was laugh at her. He looked natural when he laughed. “ I take it you don’t laugh that much do you, your face looks so solemn.” “My job is a very tense one and fun in games is a rare treat for me.” “ As thanks I would like to get you a cup of coffee are you up for it?” She thought for a minute cause that’s all it took her to respond. It was as if her mouth moved on its own “ Sure, I don’t mind, there is a café a few blocks from my house.”
“ Well on that note lead the way.” He the moved back and held out his hand to her, at first she was a little reluctant to take it but she looked in his eyes and she felt that he wouldn’t harm her in any way. She felt comfortable walking next to him. Then it hit her, he was still injured. “ As much as I would love to enjoy a cup of coffee with you I must decline at this time, or else you will bleed to death.” With that she pointed down to his side which he was still holding. “ I will manage fine, right now the only thing I’m dying of is of thirst.” He said with a light chuckle. She ten too gave a slight chuckle as she turned trying to hide it from him. “ I heard that, you thought I was funny just now didn’t you. “ I would never!” “ But follow me and I will take you back to my place to patch you up, my mother was a doctor and I learned a few things from her.” “ What do you mean by was a doctor?” “That’s a story for another day.” he saw her eyes lower as if remembering something very painful.
He didn’t ask anything else of her after seeing her face that way it started to tug at his heart strings. They reached her apartment and the doorman looked at her as he held the door for her as soon as the man was just about to walk through he closed the door. “You are not aloud in here without permission from somebody in this building. She was waiting at the elevator when she heard a commotion at the front door. “ Wait one mom…, oh shit I totally forgot to tell Henry he was with me. Now isn’t the time to space out!” She ran to the door and out it, all see could see was Henry the doorman and the gentleman about to duke it out in the middle of the walkway. “ Henry, please stop he is with me.” she shouted. Henry then backed away and walked over to her. “ What relation is he too you , I don’t like the looks of him.” “ Well he is a very special friend of mine.” she said with a wink. Henry just blushed from ear to ear.
“ I’m truly sorry sir” he said as he bowed his head and sulked away. They walked in and as she pushed the button for the elevator she heard a big loud thud. She turned around and saw the man lying on the floor.” Wait right there and I will get Henry to help you up to my apartment!” As soon as she was up on her feet and about to walk away he grabbed her hand and pulled her back down close to his face then he reached up and he grabbed her face and turned it and whispered in her ear. “I can just mange fine if you lend me some of your strength. And with that he grabbed her face and kissed her. The kiss was an urgent one, but yet soft and gentle. She could feel her strength was leaving her and her knees were soon about to turn to jelly. When she felt like she couldn’t take anymore he finally let go. She fell back and sat down.
