Oppression Of A Life Already Broken
A/N: Ok this was a fic I had posted on a different site, but decided that it wasn't to my usual standards and I wanted to do so much more with it. Since I had wanted it to be more adult than what I had posted before I decided to move it here and change a lot of things. The plot and general read are the same. It's a bit smoother but all in all I think I'm looking forward to writing this. Hope you enjoy.
Oppressing Of A Life Already Broken:Prologue
The morning had just begun and already young Taavi was severely annoyed. His parents were bickering back and forth, which in itself was a rare occasion, but so was this very day. It was Taavi's sixteenth birthday today and all this commotion wasn't even about him. It was about Dandy, his dog, and how someone really needed to take him to the groomers. Though he was annoyed, he didn't complain and just ate his breakfast-tart in silence as he thought.
Taavi rarely ever asked for anything he didn't need. Even at a such a young age he had a good paying job at the mall so that he could afford the things he wanted without causing an unnecessary expense for his parents. That's just the way the young man was. He loved his parents very dearly though sometimes his penchant for getting into trouble with every kind of authority on the planet may have told them otherwise.
Taavi was a trouble maker indeed, but he made up for his mistakes very well. More often than not, he was blamed for something he really didn't do based on his appearance. Taavi was a very good looking young man despite his dark appearance. He had long, wavy, dark chocolaty hued locks of hair that had lighter shades of brown for natural highlights. His hair reached just above his nicely shaped bum which was often clad in skin tight pants. He wore clothes that were on the darker side in others opinions, but they also showed off his beautifully sculpted figure. He may have seemed a bit girlie to the other boys that he attended school with at times, but the face that he was actually able to grow facial hair and stood up to anyone who plainly stated their negative opinions (including the headmaster and several teachers) was enough to gain him many friends and admirer. Taavi also was not shy in the least and was open about almost every aspect of himself and his family. The most captivating thing about Taavi to others that barely new him or had even known him since birth, were his eyes. They were rounded, but pointed up at the sides and he iris' were the most vibrant, liquid-like shade of green with specks of blue and brown that it was hard not to be captivated by them. They held so much emotion and looked far older than he was.
Taavi was a wise and also very gutsy boy. He took risks that were almost always calculated to the point that he was sure that they would work and were worth his time. Though on rare occasions he would find himself lunging head first into something without thinking. Those risks were more often than not costly to him and others so they were far and between.
Deep in his thought as he was, it took a moment for him to realize that his food was swiped, well actually more like swiftly snatched, right out of his hand. In that moment his complete and utter attention was drawn to the thief of his breakfast-tart. His mother. It was a commonly known fact from early on in his life that if one was to take Taavi's food, that his concentration was with them and nothing else. It wasn't like that with everything. Just food. Taavi wasn't a glutton by any means. If you were to ask his now dead grandmother, Taavi needed to eat more even though he was fit and healthy and in his mind had plenty of meat on him.
Taavi looked up at his mother, Eva, with annoyance and question in his eyes, “Can I help you?” He asked in a voice much thicker and deeper than most sixteen year old boy's could imagine possessing at such an age. Even older men in their twenties and thirties would hope for such a deep and naturally sensual voice. Taavi had it and didn't even know it.
Eva looked at him with that look that always made him want to regret his annoyance and the sarcastic comments he often through at her. As she spoke she put on her sweetest smile and used a sugar coated tone of voice, “Can you please take Dandy to the groomers in two hours, Taavi?”
“Why? Can't you?” He asked even more annoyed at his mother for sugar coating such a stupid and awful request. Of all days, she wanted him to do this today. On his birthday. She gave him “the look” again and he sighed. There was no getting out of it even if he could sweet talk her into doing it herself, it didn't matter. There was one very important rule in the house that applied to this conversation and issue: If you own it, you take care of it. No one, even him dared to break that rule.
With another sigh of resignation, Taavi got up and headed upstairs to shower. Not even caring about the food anymore. He was too upset and angry that his parents apparently forgot that it was their only son's birthday. As he entered the bathroom he had to stop himself from picking up his straightener and chucking it across the room. All he wanted was a little attention that he rarely asked for. He got plenty of it already, but today was special to him in some way. Upset and angry as he was he set to cleansing himself in his daily routine. After stripping he got into the shower and turned it on. He wasn't bothered by the freezing cold streams that hit him in the face. If anything, he needed it to calm him down. As he stood there, the cool beads of water that ran over his delicate pale flesh grew hot, reddening his skin. After a few moments he reached for his shampoo, but it wasn't where he normally left it. It was in the other corner of the shower. Everything in the shower was in a place it shouldn't be. Taavi knew this because he was a creature of habit, not obsession, just habitual actions. He looked around for a moment, suspecting maybe that his mother had cleaned and he left the oddity at that.
As the young man cleaned up, he thought of nothing other than getting his task done so that he could bitch later at his parents for sending him on such an annoying errand on such an important day. After rinsing his body and hair which took tedious minutes to rid of shampoo and conditioner, Taavi turned off the water and got out. He dried his body and hair, brushed his teeth and still damp tangled locks and wrapped the towel around his slim waist. Afterward he applied a small amount of eyeliner and pulled his lengthy, dark tendrils into a low pony-tail and set off towards his room to dress. He did so and left his room clad in a pair of tight black, low-riding jeans, a faded Iron Maiden tee-shirt and a pair of scuffed black boots.
Taavi made his way downstairs and got his all too eager pet hooked up to a leash and left without a word to his parents, slamming the door on the way out. Now it was just past twelve as he and Dandy got into his brand new car that he had helped pay for. Earlier in the morning he had gone to take his drivers test and passed. He now was driving on his was to town to pamper his dirty little pooch. Taavi couldn't be angry with Dandy because it wasn't the poor dogs fault that he was ruining his birthday. Besides Dandy was too sweet and gentle to ever be angry with.
“You're lucky I love you Dandy.” Taavi stated to the dog in the back seat as he pulled into the parking lot of a little strip mall. He received a small yip in reply and parked in an open spot just in front of the groomers shop. He got out and let Dandy out as well and led the innocent dog into the shop after locking up his only pride and joy.
“Nice day isn't it?” The clerk working the register asked Taavi as he made his way toward the counter. She was a cute young lady with short blond hair and a flamboyant personality. She was just a little older than Taavi and went to school with him. He knew her by face, but he couldn't remember her name to save his life. She had had a crush on him at some point, but he told her that she wasn't his type and that they could remain friends if she so chooses. Taavi was attracted to women, but he much rather fancied something with a deep voice that had something dangling down between it's legs. Most people knew this, but still loved him.
“Yes it is. Dandy has been a very good boy so he needs the full treatment today, sweetheart.” Taavi informed her. He often found himself calling people that he didn't know or had simply forgotten their names by that. It wasn't a special pet name that he reserved for anyone, just a clever cover up.
“Isn't he always a good boy?” The girl asked with a giggle and came around to take Dandy,” He'll be a few hours. Get some shopping done and I do half price for Dandy since it's you're birthday, Taavi.” She offered as he handed her the dogs leash.
“Thank you sweetheart. I appreciate the favor.” He replied with a surprised and happy grin. Someone remembered his birthday, even if it was a girl he didn't really know the name of. She flashed him a grin before leading Dandy back to the grooming area. Afterward Taavi took it upon himself to splurge on a few gifts for himself in a few of the shops in the strip mall. After shopping for a few hours, Taavi strolled back to his car and put his bags in the trunk before going to see if Dandy was done yet. Unfortunately he had to wait for fifteen minutes before the dog was finished with his lavish grooming session. Taavi never spared any expense when it came to his pet. Dandy was like his child and he treated him as such since Taavi was under the belief that he would never have children. It's not that he didn't want any when the time was right, it was because he was more attracted to men than women. He was under the impression that his one and only would be male, though he kept his mind open to any woman to see if they could make him as happy as any man could. He was still young and he knew that.
On the way home, Taavi let Dandy sit in the front seat since he was now clean and for being such a twitchy animal, he rode well in cars. Upon arriving in his neighborhood, Taavi couldn't help but notice all the cars parked in every available space there was. As he parked on his space in the driveway, Taavi had a sneaking suspicion of why all the cars were there. He then killed the engine got our and went around to get Dandy. When he entered the house, Taavi couldn't stop the uneasy feeling that was washing over him as he walked into complete silence. He let his pet off the leash and looked all around the house. Upon finding no sign of life anywhere, he summed up his courage to check outside. It wasn't like his parents to disappear like this. He hadn't even found a note or anything of the sort to inform him of the reason for their sudden absence.
His hand shook like a piece of paper as he reached for the back door. After opening it slowly he peaked out and was startled by a chorus of “Surprise! Happy birthday Taavi!” that came from the nearly three dozen people who suddenly jumped in front of him. He let out a shrill scream of fright and surprise indeed. It was a scream that sounded more like a young girl had been thrown into an icy pool in the middle of fall rather than a masculine scream that most people would expect from a boy like him. These weren't most people. They were his neighbors, friends and family. His family being his parents and cousin Gabe. They grinned at him and he had to laugh at himself for his reaction and for being so ignorant to think that they would forget his birthday. He should have known better.
“Sorry, kulta, but we couldn't help ourselves.” Eva apologized with a giggle.
“It's alright mum. You really had me going there though.” He replied and hugged her.
The rest of the day was filled with food, fun and gifts. That's all Taavi wanted for his birthday. He didn't want something expensive, though he got several presents that were, he just wanted to have a simple party with everyone whom he cared for. As the day wore on into night, everyone became impatient with Taavi's reluctance to cut the tasty marble birthday cake that his father had baked for him. His father had always been into cooking and was good at it. After getting tired of the fun activities his parents had planned, the birthday boy finally gave in. They lit the candles and waited for Eva to turn off the back porch lights that happened to be far to bright for anyones liking. Everyone begged for Taavi to make a wish quickly so he closed his eyes and thought for a few moments before coming up with the perfect wish.
'I wish to find some real, consistent, hot romance with the man of my dreams and for my family to be happy with him!' He thought to himself with conviction before opening his unique eyes once more and blowing out all sixteen candles.
Soon after the cake is served much to everyones delight. Taavi passed out pieces and took his last, being the gentleman he was. Afterward he sat down with everyone on the porch around the fire pit that had been built into the wood and was surrounded by rock and cement. He chatted with his favorite cousin, Gabe about the things he had done in the previous year, both funny and dangerous.
A short time later the porch light that had been turned on once more went out as did the lights in the their house and the houses directly near them. Everyone panicked for a moment, being the paranoid creatures that humans tend to be. Taavi had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach though and as the fire pit was lit that fear came to life as his eyes landed on three unfamiliar tall male figures standing by the back door to his own home. The three men were extraordinarily handsome from what the flickering light of the fire could afford Taavi. The thing that really sent a chill of stark fear up his spine though was that they were smiling maliciously and specifically at him. Long, sharp, pearly white fangs protruded over their full bottom lips and gleamed horrifically in the fiery orange glow that the fire cast over them.
“M-Mom...” The young man stammered in fright, wide eyes never leaving the intruders. After getting no reply he shook her shoulder hard enough to earn her attention. She stared at him for a moment then followed her sons horrified gaze toward the unknown creatures. Her eyes widened and before she could draw anyone else's attention toward the invaders, the men launched themselves at the large group of people.
Screams were elicited from anyone who caught sight of them before it was too late. Plates were thrown and people began to run, trying to evade the mysterious and murderous attackers. Taavi seemed rooted to his spot from the fear he was feeling, bit he soon realized that his immobility was not just his own doing. He felt an unnatural tug on his limbs and a warm pressure in his head. It was as if his body was being made to stay put by someone else, but no one was holding him back. He screamed and cried out as he was forced to watch his loved ones being tracked down and slaughtered. When he tried to look away, Taavi felt as if a strong hand was holding his chin in place and guiding his head so that he could watch everything, but wasn't allowed to look away from the carnage. Tears streaked his handsome, young face as he watched these men kill with no man made weapons. They killed with fangs, razor sharp nails and brutal inhuman strength. Taavi heard his parents and friends blood curdling screams of agony ring out heart-wrenchingly though the crisp summer air and into is ears. Some were gagging and choking on their own crimson life as they scrambled toward the safety of the house or lay dying on the blood soaked ground. Taavi couldn't even save them let alone defend them and it was killing him. It was hurting him and it was infuriating him more than anything ever had and ever would. He clenched his fists into tight balls, whitening his knuckles and let out the angriest, completely defeated guttural scream he had in his entire life. His little vocal display caught the murderous attackers attention straight to him. They dropped the dying bodies they had been feeding off of and started walking toward him. Taavi was the only one left standing other than the creatures that were now coming to finish it all off. Bodies of th innocent littered the lawn and porch. Blood splashed and smired everywhere. Even the assailants were drenched in the essence of those that the shaking teen loved so dearly. Taavi's young life had been shattered in the mere blink of an eye and would soon end. One of the men responsible approached him then the other two followed his example.
'What am I to do now? I refuse to cower and ask for mercy. I'd rather die!' Thought bitterly to himself as he stared down the supposed leader while he came closer and closer, walking in a fluid and almost unnatural manner. Seemingly beautiful, yet Taavi was too angry and disgusted to care how inhumanly gorgeous he was. He came within inches of the young mans face and he could smell the metalic blood on him as well as a rather pungent and appealing scent. Something like lilacs or perhaps orchids
'Why am I smelling him?! He just killed everyone!' Taavi shouted in his head, angry for having such a thought.
Taavi forced himself to focus on the mans features so that he could better know the murderer who was responsible for all of this. For the deaths of his loved ones, for his parents, for himself. He was very certain he would kill him as well.
He was very handsome, despite Taavi's hate for him. He had a very angular face, high sculpted cheekbones, a long nose that was perfectly molded to fit his face, plump bloodstained lips and the coldest and most emotionally devoid crystalline blue eyes the boy had ever seen. Long silken waves of black hair hung down below his shoulders, two thin bits of long bangs framed his handsome face. He was most definitely Scandinavian like Taavi was himself, but he seemed too beautiful to be real. He knew for a fact that the man wasn't human by any means. It was not possible.
The man stared at Taavi for a moment more before smiling, showing of his perfect teeth and two very long and sharp canines. This frightened him, so he involuntarily put my anger on the back burner and let his fear rise and fizzle out of control.
"Tell me, Taavi. How much do you want to live now with you're family and friends gone? Do you still want that real romance of a life time, hmmm?" He questions cruelly in a very calm, rich, deep voice, speaking in Taavi's native tongue perfectly well. Their tongue. He was most definitely a Fin. He made Taavi feel weak and vulnerable and he absolutely despised that feeling.
After the victim didn't answer, mostly out of defiance and lack of words, the murderous beauty spoke again just as calmly as before.
"I thought not. I'll let you live, my dear Taavi, for the sake of curiosity and amusement. I will come back whenever I find it to be the opportune time and I will finish the work I have set out to complete. I want to see what you will become over time. I want to watch you suffer and I will enjoy it immensely. Don't forget that I am the one that has broken you. I will return for you and I will have you.
I suggest you keep a wary eye open at all times for your own sake, Taavi. I will return and I will do with you as I please" He whispered as he leaned next to Taavi's ear, licking the shell and nibbling on his earlobe after he had finished his threats. Taavi knew they weren't and empty ones either.
Shivers went down Taavi's spine and he felt the pressure and hold lift from his limbs and mind. He felt weak as he lifted his eyes to look up at the man who had now added sexual violation to his murderous endeavors. He felt weak and dead inside. He wanted to die and he was denied that favor of mercy. Taavi had no doubt that the man...no bastard creature would return for him, but when and would he be too late to ensnare the boy as his personal slave or would Taavi get to himself before then?
'Will he get to me before I do?' He asked himself weakly with bitterness and sorrow.
His thoughts were his last as was the image of the smirking bastard before his body and mind gave out and he crumbled to the ground in emotionally and psychologically broke mess. Blackness overwhelmed him finally, creeping stealthily into Taavi's mind and taking over his sight and forcing him to submit all too willingly to unconsciousness.
Well that was it. The prologue to my first fic on here. If I messed up anywhere please point it out. I like to know what I did wrong and what I did right. I would love some reviews and/or rates for some feedback. Thanks a lot for reading and I hope you liked it.
