Twilight Seducers
Darkness is an adjective describing the way you see things, like at midnight outside would be covered in darkness, darkness doesn’t mean evil then. It’s just saying it’s hard to see, and so forth with the word light, at noon time outside would be full of light. Neither of which means evil or good in any sense, evil and good take shapes and colors of all kinds. Therefore both dark and light are adjectives of what your eyes see, and some times, don’t see. True sight, is to have harness the ability to depict who could harm you and who will harm you. Who’s truly safe when you are living a life where death can be in your face from a joy ride in a car?
They wore clothes blacker than oil, with moves dedicated to the creatures that were devoted to the night lands and skies, didn’t mean much to any one if told it, but to watch their moves, was nothing short of amazing. Figures leered on the top of a closed building, some call it a school others, hell and prison. If one peered up at the old junior high, nothing out of order would be seen but for those that stood upon that roof, looking down, everything’s out of order. As the saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover.
Emerald eyes locked onto violet eyes, which locked onto teal that turned to lock onto ruby that locked onto misty green that locked onto brown that locked onto hazel that locked onto cold black ones that locked onto watery blue that locked onto color shifting ones who completed the looks by locking onto the emerald eyes. None said a word as one by one they crouched looking over the roof, spying on the happenings down nearly 50 feet below their serious gazes and well trained physiques.
The dark of night is home to many things, creatures who can’t stand the light, people who can’t handle the degrading looks of hurtful people, drunks, gangs, drug dealers…the list can go on and on if chosen to go on that much. Though the worst thing about the night is when the drunks and drug dealers and so on, go back to their homes…and hurt the ones they are supposed to love and protect. A loud crack sounded through the area as a stench of cheap boozes and weed filled the air from a screaming man, while beating on a cotton candy pink-eyed little boy.
Another child being harmed, another drunk allowed to roam the streets, life is not fair for any one. How’s it different for this kid then any other kid in the world with alcoholic guardians one could ask, so let the records show, if one would ever have caught on tape what was happening, that above this particular child was something special far beyond words could describe. Tonight what could and for now be called Angels were looking down on this little one and conversed softly on what to do, as another hand came wrapping around the throat and the cotton candy-eyed boy‘s eyes bugged and his face turned a sickly shade of blue.
“It’s not our business, let whatever fate has in store for the kid be of what happens, the earth still turns either way.” Emerald eyes rolled in annoyance at the soft grunts of disagreement of the group. A misty green eyed girl punched the guy in the arm growling at him. “Brother what is wrong with you? Has the long nights made you cold? Unfeeling even! That’s a child down there! Vex if you don’t do something we will!” Vex stared into his younger sister’s misty green eyes, irritated by her out burst and then glances over the side of the wall where the child’s heart started to stop. Snapping his head back he looked into all the different colored eyes, each one cold and hard with only one thing passing through them, anger. With that rage a dim blackish glow surrounded each one and in almost slow motion they crouched slightly ready to charge.
Curling his lips back in a warning growl, Vex threw himself forward to the wall his hands landing on the top and his body flipped over for it only to come crashing back down to the ground in an almost rehearsed style behind the drunk. “Good night.” Was all the drunken man could of heard and Vex’s fist came down into the back on his neck with a sickening crack. The child fell to the ground tried to get up once before passing out from the lack of air and pressure on his neck. “’Cause we so badly needed to save another one, these are not pets you know. He’s not sleeping with me and that’s final.” Vex growled picking the child up by his foot like he was a diseased rat and started walking with him along the building.
The eyes up above followed him wearily before jumping down to the ground behind Vex just as silently and perfected as when he did it. “Well ‘brother’ you do have the biggest room, and you can share it with the girls but you can’t share it with a child now? Asshole…” Black eyes narrowed in soft bubbling rage. Vex in turned jerked his hand tossing the kid behind him aiming for the black eyed female but hit zoned out violet eyed female. “Hey you stupid prick!” Gripping the child and holding him princess style tightly so he wouldn’t fall, angry violet eyes flared to life zeroing in on Vex. “Well darling you should have been looking, anyway it wasn’t meant for you it was meant for the beast.” He continued walking around the edge of the building; everyone was on high alert and staying close. “You fucking sick…My name’s Mint it isn’t hard to say and I’m not a beast! I’m a demon you asshole, Hey Keirala, you okay?” Vex spun on his heels a hand flying across Mint’s face angrily. “Brother and Sister. We only call one another Brother and Sister! Do you WANT to get us all killed?” Vex went into a sprint putting distance between him and them all.
Looking up from the child the violet eyed Keirala flashed a half smile at Mint before zoning back out like a zombie blocking out the fact of what Vex just did. “Will he be alright sister?” Misty green eyes came up beside her with slight worry in her eyes mixed in with anger towards her brother. “Yeah sister, He’ll be just fine after a long rest…Brother we need to get back soon, something’s not feeling right.” Raising her voice a little so he could hear Vex turned slightly and nodded and pulled out a necklace that was hidden under his cloak. On that necklace was a simple emerald banded ring, putting the ring on he mumbled a few words and a soft glow emitted from the throats of the rest of the group and in a blink of an eye they were gone.
