Hi, my name is Lucifer’s Sonata. I was a long time FP devotee but I haven’t been around much there for some time. I grew to love AFF because one of my favorite stories of all time is continued here!!! My spelling and grammar have improved so much, compared to my FP days, but they still suck lol… SO you can review all you want about me lacking good grammar and spelling skills, but I already know it lol So if you could, please rant, rave, flame, praise me about anything you want! Except spelling a grammar haha You can if you must! But I already know ^^; Without further ado, I would like to explain this story and my writing ethics for just a moment! If you want to skip ahead to the first chapter you are more than welcome! The warnings and summary are all on the next page : )
Welcome to the Tea Shoppe! This story is a result of a lot of inspiration and a very LONG writer’s block. In fact, it’s been a couple of years since I updated any of my FP stories… Just too much stuff happened and I started to lose touch with the stories and characters. I hope they aren’t lost! But I’ve yet to gain the momentum to continue them yet.
I’ve been reading a lot of “master/pet” stories lately-and loving them! Haha-, and I wanted to try my hand at it, but hopefully with a twist! In my prologue, which is actually intended for a more serious storyline that I hope I won’t pursue (because right now my muses are telling me that I’ll be in for the long hall if I start it, and I just won’t have the energy!), I don’t directly say any particular countries. Why? Well, I don’t want the focus to be on modern accuracies. I will include things like generic tea brands and modern day appliances, but my goal for this story is for it to be taking place in an AU. I want this to be enjoyable for you and for me! This will hopefully be a stress reliever story, just like a cup of tea lol.
Right now I have two different ideas centered around the same setting: a Tea House. I may end up writing both ideas out or I may just stay with the one that can allow me to have the most fun. I want this to be pretty light hearted, and god willing, hilarious! So let me know what you are feeling-if anything- while you are reading : ) If by some chance these characters remind you of another author’s character PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me immediately so I can investigate it myself and do what I can to alter my characters.
It is my greatest fear that I copy another person’s character or setting and try to make it my own. I swear to you all, that I would never willingly do such a thing, but the mind is a curious thing and we can unknowingly duplicate things without knowing it. I had a story of mine copied before- and I’m willing to grant that it was a harmless mistake- and I hated the feeling of possibly being stolen from. I take pride in my characters and my story lines. They are my babies! And I therefore respect other author’s and their stories. The way I work, is if their story was out before mine, I do the changing and will actually try to contact that other author and apologize by way of lots of virtual cookies and even ask them how they would like me to change my story! Lol. And if their story was out after mine, and my character’s and setting were already well established, I leave it up to them to make up their own mine. I will constantly be on the lookout for characters that resemble mine in stories that I read, so that I can make sure I am not reinventing someone’s baby in my name lol.
I just want this to be fun! : ) And I would much rather you flame me saying a stole somebody’s work than you not saying anything at all, because I WILL do something about it. So thank you in advance for your support!
