when the time comes for a young woman to get her priorities straight she uses her confidence and arrogance towards relationships to squeeze her way around the priority part, but that dose not work for long as she is forced to take herself into perspective and deal with long hidden problems and new ones that arise when the time comes for her to get her act together she dose not know if she can realize things in time to get it all right, even though she doesn’t want to be alone she is forced to take that option into consideration.

Chapter One

" Come on, you know you want to" Amy said, soccer ball at her feet." Come and take it from me." She smiled knowing that taunting Jessica would make her move
"Oh I bet I can" Jessica joked along with the red head. She looked up at Amy through her short choppy hair that fell seductively over her intense blue eyes
The two of them were waiting to be picked up, on the back soccer field at the high school. The rest of the team had already left; both their rides were late, so they decided to play around with Amy’s soccer ball.
"It’s getting dark." Amy smiled. "I like the dark."
Jessica made a quick move for the ball; Amy was a bit quicker on her feet and moved it out of the way, sticking her tong out at Jessica as she did.
" You little." Jessica said making another move for the ball, Amy tried to move the ball the same as she did last time but when the ball snagged a hole they both went down, Amy landing on top of Jessica, chest to chest.
There was a silence as Amy got lost in Jessica’s blue eyes.
Jessica moved a piece of hair away from Amy’s face.
She kept her hand on Amy’s face, bringing the other up to join it in framing her face. As she brought their lips together, Amy’s parted for Jessica, offering, so she took, needing as she did, to feel to know, to be human.
It was slow simmering in the blood, a lazy tightening of muscle, a flutter of pulse.
So easy, Amy thought, so easy to sink into the warm and the soft. To be surrounded by her in the dark and let her forget, what lay in their way?
Amy pulled away catching her breath.
Amy wore a huge Smile on her face, which, To Jessica seemed to light up the world around them.
"You wouldn't believe how long I’ve wanted that to happen."
"I sure hope you want it to happen again because I do." she leaned down and laid small kisses over Jessica’s neck
“You know I have always been to afraid to admit it, I have always been attracted to you"
"I just simply can't believe this is happening to me"
“Me either" Amy said with a small giggle "but I love it."
"Good"
Amy looked past Jessica to the soccer ball whiping away a few tears.
Jessica propped herself up on her elbows "What's wrong."
"This is kind of scary...I like being with a woman better then I do a Guy." she paused holding back a few more tears threatening her eye lids. she leaned down and kissed Jessica” I want to feel this feeling forever, do you want too feel it too?" she asked with a childish smile
There was a silence that made Amy thinks Jessica didn't want what she herself wanted.” jess?' she said in a questoning tone.
"Of course I do." Jessica wasn't entirely sure she meant it but she knew she liked the feeling.
There was a long silence between the two soccer players.
"We should head out front to wait for our rides" Amy suggested
"Yah that would be a good idea." she leaned up and kissed Amy
Amy got up and grabbed her soccer ball and then started to walk her way across the field. Jessica sat there and watched her walk for a minute before climbing to her feet and catching up with the red head.
What are we going to do Amy thought to her as Jessica came up and slid an arm around her waist. It just felt so right having Jessica’s arm there as they walked.
God I have myself in deep on this one, I want to be with her so bad but what do we tell people?
"We don't tell anyone if you are wondering?" Jessica said reading the expression on Amy’s gorgeous face
“How did you know that was what I was worried about?"
"I have been gay long enough I know the expressions" Jessica said confidently
“So you classify your self as completely gay?"
"Yes"
"But why don't we tell anyone?" she laid her head on Jessica’s shoulder as they continued to walk.
"because as opened minded as one person is there is about ten that are not opened minded and your friends are some of them that are not so opened minded, I know my friends would be accepting of it but they have had four years to come to terms with it." She kissed the top of Amy’s head before giving her a gentle squeeze
"I guess you are right....not trying to get ahead of myself here but if we are together for awhile, not sure if we are even together now but if we are then will we be able to tell people then?"
Jessica looked past them looking at nothing in particular, “well why you don’t just bring the subject up on homosexuality in front of the people you would care about knowing and just see what their takes are on it, we can work from there. Okay?"
"yah that is fine, it is just I am so happy with you I know it has only been what ten minutes with you but I want people to know I am happy with you"
"That is fine but you should know how they will react first though" Jessica stared ahead of them as she noticed her friends car coming in to the school's drive way. She quickly removed her arm from around Amy’s waist.
Kalee smiled in the driver's seat to herself as she parked the car and waited for Jessica to go in the school and get her stuff from the locker room.
Jessica and Amy disappeared into the school.
"Wonder if she saw anything?" Amy said as they went into the locker room
"I doubt it she doesn’t notice much other then hot guys" Jessica laughed as she picked her school bag and her gym bag up off the floor.
"That’s good ... um you better go with her now and I can wait here for my mom"Amy said sittin on one of the two benches
"Okay?"
"No you don't have to wait here by yourself" Jessica said sitting next to Amy even the smell of her made Jessica just want to reach out and make love to her.
"Hey I'll be fine go okay get your but out to that car," she said slapping Jessica’s but as she stood up.
"Okay I'll go butt I don't like it one bit" she bent down and kissed Amy on the lips then once on the for head before disappearing out the locker room doors.
Amy sat there for along time before calling her mother to come and pick her up, wondering what was happening it all just felt so surreal to her because for the longest time she thought being gay was wrong but that is what her grandmother had always preached to her. she could hear her grandmother now if she knew what her grand daughter had just done with another woman,” Amy Reid you know you are going to go to hell unless you get ride of that vile girl and pray to god for forgiveness of you filthy sins"
She smiled to her self as she walked out to the main entrance doors to wait for her mother "who can actually believe all that hell stuff?" she asked empty air.
what am I doing though did I really feel that when I kissed her or was it just a matter of my head wanting to be with her, but my head wouldn't want it if my heart didn’t so I must like her a bit more then "like" some where down there. Her mother pulled in a few seconds later. Grate she is going to know something up Amy thought climbing into the passenger side of the mini van
"Hey Hun how was practice today?" cindi said her daughter as she threw her soccer bag and school bag in the back seat
"It was good we mostly worked on heading you know dad wants to make sure we do everything perfect" she smiled for the third time after getting into the van
mom don’t even ask what's up with me Amy thought seeing that look on her mothers face she knew what was coming
"What has you in such a good mood?"
"How did I know you were...?”
Cindy cut her off "going to ask that, because I’ve seen the smile three times in under a minute and you never smile any more so why you so happy are"
Amy rolled her eyes thinking back to the pure happiness she felt kissing Jessica. I can't tell her what happened but I can give her some of the truth
"Well I and jess were the last ones here and we were talking and we got to know each other and to both of our surprise we actually liked each other and we are going to talk again sometime." Amy said with a joy in her eyes that her mother hadn't saw in along time
oh boy Cindy t thought watching the happiness in her daughters tone rays as she spoke of this girl that she knew was gay I’m not sure if she knows it but she is falling in love with this girl.
She smiled I'm not going to stop her like my mother stopped me.
"well hunny why don't you call and ask her to come to our house for supper tonight, me and your father have to go and stay at your grandmothers house for the night to take care of the dogs"
What are you getting at?" Amy asked her mother as they pulled out of the drive way at the school
"well I was going to say that you two could get a pizza and some movies and simply have a girls night having fun watching TV and stuff" Cindy gave Amy a side ways glance
"What was that looking for? And what do you mean by stuff?" has she clued in already. No she couldn't have.
"Okay I am not going to lie to lie to you I know you and jess have something other then friendship"
Amy opened her mouth to speak but her mother silenced her with a finger
"and don't say there's not because you have that look in your eyes when you talk about her and when I am at the practices you both look at each other with a love I haven't seen in any body for a long time, yes you may only be 16 but that is not to early to fall in love with some one and I want you to be happy and jess will make you happy she loves you she has for a long time and she didn’t' have to speak it through words but through looks"
"Mom I thought you hated gays?"
"No I don't I was once interested in a girl and my mom your grandmother stopped me from being with her so.......I just want you to be happy"
"Thank you" Amy was so overjoyed that her mother was behind her on this whole thing. She needed the support because she was scared of the feelings she was going through.
"But Amy if you are going to get into things with her you have to remember that her mental health isn't all that great but you can probably bring her out of that."
"What do you mean her mental health?" confusion spred all over Amy's face
"Amy you have seen those cuts on her arms."
"Yah she told me a few days ago they were from her new kitten."
"You have seen those cut you can't tell me you think a little kitten scratched her that bad."
“I know mom but what I am going to do to help her she isn't all that accepting of help, of that kind anyway."
"you can help her she will let you cause I know she loves you can see that in those blue eyes of hers and if she loves you that much she will be willing to get the help she needs with it."
"I'll try but I am not promising any miricals, Okay?"
"Do your best."
Amy nodded her head then turned to look out the window.
The rest of the ride was silent leaving both of them with their thoughts

Jessica sat next to kalee in the passenger’s seat in silence until kalee broke into conversation
"So you and Amy huh?"
"Kalee just don't okay I don't really know what's happening right now okay?" Jessica said in a low but stern tone
"no I am not going to leave this one alone, dose she want to be with you or what?" kalee kept her eyes in the road but knew Jessica was fighting too not answer her but she would.
I hope she does want to be with me Jessica thought because after today I can't handle not being with her. After knowing what she can give me and I can give back to her I need to be with her and I need her to need me just as much.
"well she's not sure yet, and kalee if you tell anyone that she even might be gay or bi or the fact that she may want to be with me I’ll kill you okay?"
Jeezz what is wrong with her. She may love her but she doesn’t have to be so god damned rude about it. Kalee thought bitterly
"sorry I am just having a bunch of fallings at once and ones I haven't felt science I fell for you a few years back, and things with us didn't work out so I am thinking that things with me and Amy might not work out either." the road whizzed by as she explained to kalee what was wrong
Grate she always knows how to get me to forgive her, I curs the person that thought her to speak. She has been pulling people in ever sience."It’s okay I understand but try not to be so grouchy next time"
"Yah I’ll try." Jessica said in almost to low of a voice for kalee to hear.
Time to change the subject kalee decided "so are we going to my house your house or Jessica's she says Joey is not going to be there."
"Let’s go to mine, because I can't deal with jess right now or your siblings either."
Kalee’s stomach seemed to yell enough for the both of them to hear.
"Do you want to go get some food my treat?" she added a smile Jessica’s could never say no to
"I guess so where we going?" she asked still not lookng at kalee
"I was thinking pizza hut or somithing along thoes lines, is that okay with you?"
Jessica’s cell phone rang making kalee jump
"hello." Jessica’s lips curved intoa small smile
"um yah I didn't expect you to call"
kalee sat silent knowing it was Amy on the other end of the phone
"um yah sure that sounds grate, what time?"
"oh ame um shit..just a second okay"
kalee smiled at Jessica and pushed at her. then she grabbed the phone and covered it up.
"if she want's you to go then you go you have been waiting for this for to long to pass her up for me, we can go out anytime"
"thanks" she took back the phone
"um yah ame that sounds grate i'll be there in about 45 minutes I just have to get a shower first."
"okay see you then."
"bye." Jessica hung up the phone and set it on the dashbord of the car.
"you see it's good to see you with a smile on your face." kalee said flashing a smile of her own
"yah that is great...can you just get me home so I can get a shower you little brat." she said laughing man I am so happy right now I get to stay the night at Amy’s house.
kalee looked at Jessica’s arm and noticed blood from under the wrist band Jessica was wearing
"jess I am going to kill you you're still cutting"
"Fuck...kalee just don't, leave this situation alone I am working with a therapist and she is helping so don't even bother okay." Jessica yelled calmly if it is possible to be calm while yelling at someone
Kalee watched Jessica stare out the window and smile. This is going to be good for her.
