Forever Mine
This isn't my first story written, but it's my first piece of work put up for the public eyes to read. If you don't like my story, stop reading it and don't flame me. Simple as that.
I know I'm not the best, but I am far better than some out here, and I take pride in my writing. I except constructive critism, and I adore good reviews on my story.
I do hope you enjoy it.

“Alekandra,
Your father and I have decided to take a cruise… Well, more like we were invited to join your father’s boss on one, and we took up the offer.
We’ll be gone for about two weeks at the least.
Be good.
We’ve left you about one thousand dollars to play around with while we’re gone, and you still have your credit cards to use. That leaves you with plenty, honey, so don’t be sore with us.
Though we know right now you’re most likely dancing around the kitchen in nothing but your Hello Kitty boxers and a white tank-top.
Are we right?
Don’t bother trying to call us, sweetie, our phones don’t work in the middle of the ocean.
Sincerely,
Jennette and Cesar”
She twirled around once finished with the letter written in a hurried scrawl. Some children would be upset by how impersonal the letter was, but she merely didn’t care. Her parents were almost never home anyway, always away working or on a business trip. That was the reason why they were so well off, anyway, living in a three story house with about ten rooms and five bathrooms. The living room was grand, with a set of two stair cases on either side leading up to either the third floor or the second floor. The third floor was Alek’s domain, and the second was Jennette and Cesar’s.
The first floor was where the living room, kitchen, dining room, and entertainment room was, each as grand and expensive looking as the next. To say she loved it was an understatement
Alek was a princess in her own little world, and she got whatever her heart desired. Never was something too far or too expensive for her, and the young seventeen year old already owned about seven of her own cars, her own house down in Miami, and a line of clothing she called Chique.
Her life was perfection, right?
Right.
Alek went for the pantry, about to find what she was going to eat for breakfast that day when the door bell rang. A mild curse flew from her mouth, and she almost went to call for her maid to get it when she realized that her mother had given the maids the week off because they’d been working so hard. Bastards.
Turning away from her mission for food, she lazily made her way to the front door, allowing a yawn to pass through her lips. On the way, she stopped at the large mirror they had positioned in their foyer, only to fix her wavy black hair slightly and rub the sleep from her brilliant grey-blue eyes. They were cold, venomous, hatred seeming to radiate from them wherever she looked. It was obvious she wasn’t fond of many things, and only allowed certain people in.
Stepping from the mirror once satisfied that she looked decent enough to be seen, Alek continued to the door. Finally reaching it, she grabbed the knob and opened up the large wooden door. She was quite curious to see who had the nerve to bother her at this time. It was still rather early in the morning to have visitors, especially since her parents were out of town.
“Good morning, Miss Miriqu. I have a package addressed to you, so you’ll need to sign on it.” Came the old mail-man’s cheery voice, shakey with his age but warm as ever. He was the typical kind old man, reminding her much of her best friends grandfather. He was a little over-weight, his skin wrinkley with crows feet in the corners of his eyes from smiling. Alek brushed away her thoughts, reaching out for the pad and pen, signing her name elegantly where it said to before handing it back to him, not speaking a word to him. She wasn’t trying to be rude, she was just slightly annoyed that he came so early.
Taking the package from him, she nodded her head and offered a small, fake smile. “Have a nice day, Geo.” She called as he waved, walking away back down the long driveway. Closing the door behind her, she stared at the brown cardboard box, wondering what the hell could have been inside it. Who would send her something? Alek wandered back into the kitchen, grabbing a knife and cutting through the tape that held the box closed. Pulling up the flaps, she grabbed for the card on the top and opened it up.
“My Sweet Alekandra,
The Time Is Nearing;
A Five Moon Wait
Until My Arrival Will Be.
This Time You’re Mine.
You Won’t Gain Freedom.
Chained
Bound
And Kept.
Forever Mine.”
Alek stared down at the letter, her jaw gaping open at the words. ‘Forever Mine’? What the fuck did that mean? She wasn’t some animal that could be locked up and kept forever, and she didn’t belong to anyone, damnit! Immediately she crinkled the letter in her hand, rolling it into her hand and throwing it at the wall angrily. Some bastard had the nerve to stake claim on her, and send her a letter. What a stalker!
Looking back down at the box on the counter, she moved some of the rice paper that covered something, finding an elegant black box set safetly in the middle of the large box, just screaming at the girl to open it up. And so she planned to, taking the box from the larger package, and setting it down next to it. It wasn’t a crime to be curious, right?
Cautiously, Alek opened the top, revealing a silver medallion about the size of a silver dollar, with a dragon wrapped around a rose engraved in it. Around the edges were the words ‘Be’jui nedu incar’inte et call’a yet’atu.’, only furthering to confuse her. She didn’t understood what it all meant, and she probably never would. The medallion was encased in velvet, making it quite simple to pull out. There was a chain attached, meaning it was meant to be a necklace.
Well, Alek would never let such a beautiful piece of jewelry go to waste, so she quickly hooked it around her neck. Soon after, though, did she find out that was possibly one of the worst mistakes she would make. The medallion and chain began to burn her skin, the offended parts turning red in anger. She yelped as she soon found out that she couldn’t get it off, as the chain would shock her hands each time she went to grab it.
Eventually the burning did stop, much to her relief, but when she went to examine the abused skin she didn’t find anything but a black imprint of the medallion in her chest. Hurriedly she went to wash it off, splashing cool water onto the skin and scrubbing it with soap and water. Yet, it refused to come off. She whimpered in fear, reaching up and clutching the medallion as if her life depended on it. It didn’t shock her this time, and that’s when she realized it seemed much like a a collar.
The letter flashed through her mind, and she darted down the stairs and into the kitchen. All she found was a pile of black ash where the letter had been hurled, telling her it had burned. She shook slightly, biting down on her lower lip.
For once in her life, something was out of her control and it near terrified her.
Alek stumbled from the kitchen, racing up the staircase on the right. It was the staircase that led to the third floor. Once she reached then, she nearly collapsed from lack of breath. You try sprinting up a staircase of about fifty or more stairs and not being tired from it, especially at the speed she was going. Once catching a bit of her breath, she continued, sprinting to the right, in the direction of her bedroom. Once in, she nearly dove through the black curtain that surrounded her bed, almost getting tangled in it in the process. That would have been horrible, it only would have furthered her panick.
She reached for her small black cell phone, quickly hitting speed dial one and then the call button.
“Hello?” A deep, husky voice answered. It was very obviously a male, a male who was just sleeping.
“Leo… Leo… Oh my god. Please come over now.” Her tone was half pleading, each word coming out in pants and slightly rushed.
“Allie? What’s wrong?” Immediately the sleepy tone seemed to disappear, the male on the other line becoming alert now that he’d heard the girl in such panick. She was normally rather calm and collected, which was why he was so damn worried. She never got this way… No, not Alekandra Cyprus Miriqu the Ice Queen. Not the Queen Bitch of the school who didn’t even flinch when some guy dared to pull a knife on her.
“Just… just come over, Leo…” Her voice cracked before the line went dead, signaling she’d hung up, obviously not wanting to talk about it on the phone. Leo knew he had to go over now, and immediately got up.
Alek sat in the middle of her bed, loving that it was pitch black in her own little world due to her black curtains and top on her bed. Her knees were drawn up to her chest, and she had the medallion in her hands tightly even though it wasn’t doing much to comfort her.
All she could think was that Leo would be here soon and he’d make things better like he always did…

And there ends the very first chapter!
I feel quite content, and I love how this chapter came out, even if it is just the beginning.
I would love that if one of you likes my story enough, you would beta for me. I admit I am somewhat bad with grammar, and I tend to have many fragments and such in my writing. It bothers me, but I can't stop, it's been like this since the beginning of middle school.
Rate and review, darlings!
