Dragons Prophecy

The war had greatly effected the people of Okoku, a once proud country that had fallen into chaos and lawlessness with the invasion of their neighboring country, who's ruler was a sorceress of incredible caliber. The Sorceress invaded the country and killed the royal family, thinking that she killed all of them exept for the son, who was still very young, claiming that she could reducate him. She didn't know that a loyal scribe had smuggled the king and queen's oldest son and the twin sister of the boy who was under the Soceress' control. By escaping, the siblings unknowingly set in motion the prophecy that had made the Sorceress invade in the first place.
12 years before the Sorceress invaded, a young seer had come to her palace in the throes of a powerful Vison. When she put her hand on the seer's shoulder, the young girl's eyes snaped open and she gripped the Sorceress' arm with amazing strength. And in a magical voice she said "The power of the hidden one will overcome your own if you do not take action at the right time. The child of Okoku royal blood will show him the way." And with that the girl fainted. The Sorceress told her guards to dispose of the body. They killed her and threw the body in the river. From that point on, the Sorceress watched the Okoku royal family very closely, waiting for their daughter to be born.
When their first child was born, she was shocked to find out that it was a boy, but she waited a few more years until the next child was born. the next child turned out to be twins, a boy and a girl, and that's when she made her move. She gathered up her forces, both magical and mortal, and invaded. The proud country, even though they put up a fight, quickly fell before the might of her army. The dragons and their riders quickly took out most of the opposition, while the humans and other creatures in her army took out what was left on the ground. Cities that once stood tall, with busy streets soon became smoldering craters from the combined power of her mages. Villages were ravaged by her squadron of wolf riders and their wolves. Foot soilders got the task of guarding the border of the country until it was succesfully captured.
After the king and queen had been killed and two of their children had escaped, the Sorceress left their castle to nature, knowing the ruins that it would soon be in. As her army was getting close to the border, a beautiful song caught their attention. looking out at the land that they just conqured, they saw a bird that was as beautiful as it was terrifying soar into the sky, the top of the mountain that it had been perched was on fire. The mortals in the army started saying prayers, while the magical beings cursed. The bird was a phoenix, which rose only when someone who's destiny was great had that destiny firmly placed in front of them, and at that point, the Sorceress realized that she had to rule this country with an iron fist, not letting the people of this country get their proud spirits back, which in turn let her keep down the places that this "Hidden One" could hide. The Sorceress smiled to herself. These next years are going to be interesting indeed. And she motioned to her army and they left.
