Love By Moonlight

A/N: Hi everyone it's been a while since I've posted anything here but here's a brand new story that I hope everyone will enjoy reading and reviewing.

"Congratulations on finding your job Sophia" replies a woman over the speaker of the phone. “Thank you, mom” replies a young girl who appeared to be around the age of twenty-eight with blue-green eyes and long brown hair as she talked on the phone with her mother, for she was in the middle of explaining her whole day to her mom.

“Well, that's great news honey, I'm glade you were able to get a job” comments Sophia's mom. “Yea, I was surprised I was able to find it, I was beginning to lose hope” answer Sophia.

“Well, however you got this job I'm sure your father would have been proud you got this job, if he didn't die in that car accident” answers Mrs. Lang to her daughter

“I know mom”, “So dear...When will you finally settle down with the right man and give me a granddaughter or grandson?” questions Mrs. Lang.

“MOM?!”, “Dear I'm serious here. I'm fifty-three years old and your twenty-eight I think it's time, don't you?” asks Mrs. Lang which in return got Sophia thinking about what she had just mentioned.

“Well, I'm not seeing anyone at the moment but....”, “But what?”, “I'm not ready yet”. “Oh nonsense, everyone's ready and so are you”. After hearing her mom's words Sophia thinks before speaking again. “I'll look into it, ok mom”. “Well, I sure hope so dear for no one lives forever”.

With that said, Sophia and her mom continue to talk for a little while longer before Sophia decides to call it a night and continue talking to her later for she wanted to take a quick shower and then finding something to eat.

“Well mom, love you....And I'll let you go” replies Sophia. “Alright dear, talk to you later” and with that they both hang up the phone. Once off the phone with her mother Sophia makes a move towards the bedroom were once there she walks over to her dresser and quickly grabs a pair of pajama bottoms which held pictures of Winnie the pooh on it along with a Winnie the pooh tank top before heading towards the bathroom were once there Sophia moves the shower curtain aside before reaching down and adjusting the water's temperature to her likings before turning the shower head on.

As soon as the shower is set Sophia begins to remove her work clothes. Once the clothes are gone Sophia quickly steps in while pulling the curtain close so as not to let water fall outside the tub as Sophia then moves up and under the pouring water which quickly makes it way down her body.

As the water runs down her body Sophia then reaches for the shower sponge and shower gel before beginning to lather up the sponge before she begins to run it across her chest, neck, arms, and other areas. A few minutes later Sophia finally finishes her warm shower which she quickly turns off before opening the curtain once more before moving and reaching over to the towel rack where she then proceeds in grabbing a nice big fluffy blue towel which she then wraps around her before stepping out of the tub and onto the soft blue rug beneath her feet.

Once out of the shower and standing securely on the carpet, Sophia finds herself looking at her reflection in the full length mirror which was hanging on her bathroom door which was closed at the time of her shower was now showing off her body instead.

For withing the mirror Sophia could see the petite average look her body gave off. For threw out high school, Sophia use to look chubby in some parts of her body which always made her feel unattractive but what was chubby back then was now lean and thin which Sophia took pride in.

But as Sophia continues to look at her reflection of her body, Sophia begins looking from foot up. For there, Sophia noticed long, smooth, beautifully shaped legs which took her almost until her senior year of high school to achieve to a firm tone stomach and nicely rounded breast which surprised Sophia greatly for she thought they stay small like they did threw out high school. But as Sophia looks over those she then moves to looking at her long slender arms and her lovely sculpted face.

Oh yes, did the years do wonders for Sophia and her body. From chubby to lean and thin Sophia couldn't have been more proud then she was now for achieving her dream body that she thought she never get but what still bothered Sophia was why she couldn't find the right guy for her.

So with a sigh, Sophia quickly dries herself off before putting on her pajama's before hanging up her towel and the opening the bathroom door and heading towards the kitchen were once in the kitchen Sophia begins pondering on what to make so she tries the refrigerator only to find it empty.

“Man...I seriously need to go shopping” murmurs Sophia as she closes the refrigerator door and going over to the kitchen cabinet where Sophia finds a can of New England Clam Chowder which she grabs before moving over to the lower door of the cabinet and grabbing a sauce pan which she then places on the stove before popping open the can of soup and then placing it within the sauce pan which was now heating up on the stove.

A bit later into the evening once Sophia finished her soup Sophia then lays the bowel into the sink before leaving the kitchen and going towards her bedroom, for with her to tired to stay up Sophia decides to call it a night and decides to head for bed.

Upon entering her bedroom Sophia walks over to her bed where she then climbs in but not before making sure that all lights were turned off within the house which after that she then proceeds into climbing into bed were once in bed Sophia lays down only to fall into a peaceful slumber.

Sometime later into the night as Sophia slept quietly within her bed the weather outside began changing up to where it began to rain outside her bedroom window but as that went on in another part of the city something was happening that would effect Sophia's career the very next day.

Beep...Beep....Beep...sounds the alarm clock beside Sophia's bedside table as it beeps, waking Sophia in the process which causes her to see it read 8 a.m. In the morning. So as she notices the time, Sophia begins to drag her body out of bed only to halt as the phone rings causing her to get up quickly before rushing towards the living room to grab the phone.

“Hello, Sophia speaking” replies Sophia. “Ah good morning Ms. Lang, this is Shawn Maxell” replies the voice on the other end. “Oh good morning sir” remarks Sophia, as she recognizes the voice as the guy who had hired her just the other day at the law firm she would be working for.

“Sophia I need you to come to my office asap” remarks Shawn. “Alright, I'll be there shortly” and with that Sophia hung up before running back towards her bedroom to get ready for her first day at work.

After a short while, Sophia is finally ready and so quickly grabs her brief case before heading to the front door and opening it before quickly stepping out and locking it on her way out before then heading towards her silver 2001 Ford Focus zx3.

Once there Sophia unlocks the doors and quickly getting in while laying the brief case on the passenger seat and then quickly starting up her car and heading off. But during the car ride to work many questions began to flutter threw her head like why did Mr. Maxell call her, what could be wrong, did he have second thoughts about hiring her?, all these thoughts were going threw her mind and Sophia didn't know what to do or think.

But as these thoughts continued to plague her mind, Sophia didn't have a second chance to think upon them as the law firm comes into view, so with nothing else, she quickly pulls her car into park before grabbing her brief case and quickly making her way inside.

As Sophia journeys inside, her stomach begins churning as her thoughts continue to plague her mind until finally she reaches Maxell's office. “Ok, Shawn what's y-........” but as Sophia enters the office her words are quickly cut off as she looks at the other person standing in front of Shawn Maxell's desk.

For there, standing before her was a tall, lean, fatigue man. He was fairly handsome, with dark brown hair which held a few Grey bits of hair but that only increased his looks, she also notice that his back was to her but she was sure he had dark navy blue eyes but she could only guess.

“Ah, Ms. Lang so nice of you to join us, I see you've noticed Robert Patterson here” replies Shawn. “Uh...Oh yes I have” answers Sophia as she tries not to stare at him when Robert turned around with his piercing navy blue eyes that she thought he had.

“I'm also sure your wondering on the reason I've called you here today isn't that right?” asks Shawn. As that was said Sophia turns to look at him instead of Robert as her earlier thoughts return.

“Actually sir, yes I am” answers Sophia. “Well first let me start by telling you it's nothing concerning you” explains Shawn causing Sophia to relax, happy at the fact it wasn't concerning her.

“Then what sir?” questions Sophia. “The reason I've called you here is because late last night something happened and because your new to this firm I'm giving you the assignment which will require you to work with Robert here” explains Shawn. “Alright” and so with nothing else Sophia listens as Maxell explains everything to her about the assignment and the case that was about to be hers.
