night was darker than usual. Black clouds moved in the sky threatening to let
go of its content. A lone figure walked down the street. All dressed in black
and carrying a metal briefcase the figure seemed to know exactly where it was
going and what it had to do. Moving swiftly the figure entered a building and
used the elevator up to the 11th floor. From the elevator he turned
left and walked towards one of the many apartment doors. Stopping in front of
one he removed a lock picker from his long trench coat and opened the door with
ease. The figure closed the door behind him, placed the briefcase on a table
and approached a window. It gave a very good view of a square a few yards ahead
and a perfect view of what the figure wanted to see. He turned back to the
table and opened the briefcase. Inside it, instead of folders or other elements
associated to the object, was a dismounted Barrett M99, a sniper rifle. The
figure stared at it for a moment then quickly assembled it. While placing the
gun’s scope in place he walked back to the window and opened it. Suddenly he
realized he had to work fast as a single droplet landed on the windowsill.
Rapidly he adjusted the gun’s position and looked through the scope. He found
what he was looking for immediately. It came into view and stayed there as long
as the figure inside the building wanted and needed. The moment another droplet
touched the windowsill he pulled the trigger and it was all over.
