The Road to Eternity Is Too Long
The Light of Day
I'm running out of energy
I cannot do this anymore.
'Tween stepping on my heart and hands,
I'm bleeding on the floor.
My mind is tortured--set it free;
I'm dying day by day.
My heart and head are wracked with pain--
And I can't see the light of day.
Is He?
Can it be he's tricking me,
Or is it all my fault?
Is it that he's using me,
Or could we all be wrong?
Is he asking me to love,
Or asking to forgive?
I've forgotten all the answers--
I've forgotten how to live.
He Told Me
He told me he loved me
Then he disappeared.
The black shadow
Comes into me, threatening
To steal my heart
And bare it for all to see.
I cannot allow it.
He must not leave--
He will kill me if
He leaves.
But he leaves anyway.
Look
Look at him,
He's dying.
Lying there, bleeding,
Red blood seeping into
The tiles of your floor.
You know what will save him,
Yet you do nothing.
You will let him
Die.
Look at him, he's cut wide open,
Staring at you,
Begging.
You will let him die,
And he still looks to you.
Look at him now.
Conquer All
Love conquers all,
So what conquers love?
Something must--
Nothing lasts forever.
Everything is fleeting,
Like the snow you wear
Inside the door, until
It melts.
It's like love.
It just fades away,
Like the breeze of
Your lover's breath
Upon your cheek
After he's gone.
Lonely
So lonely, I'm
So lonely.
I have nobody to be with me,
I have no one to be there,
Waiting for me when I walk in the door.
Who will be waiting for me?
Will anyone be there?
Or will I be alone forever,
Waiting for the person brave enough
To be there,
When I am not myself?
King of Hearts
The Suicide King
Of Hearts, torn
In two over
The bed of blood
Red Roses;
The coffin for you.
The flowers bleed
And bloom over
A perfect porcelain
Chest, frail as
Glass.
White and Black silk
In tandem,
Emerald and Coral
Bright and blank--
Dull as the grey
Blade
Of morning spearing
The night, bleeding
It out, as the
Sun
Sets on you,
The King of Hearts.
I'm running out of energy
I cannot do this anymore.
'Tween stepping on my heart and hands,
I'm bleeding on the floor.
