Eternity with You

Part 1

Midhrien sat solemnly, his lips in a tight line, just next to a little brook, which rippled and sparkled in a late evening’s sunlight. He sighed deeply, watching how the water passed by, and tried to hold on his tears. This wasn’t right. It wasn’t rigt that he was doomed to live here forever. Forever in this world of a humen, where he was all alone, and where was too much evil and war and diseases. He had had a right to keep his eternal life and beautines, but there was something he had lost. Something that was so very important and dear to him, for he was an angel. It was something which loss touched his soul like it were on fire and like a thousand daggers were stabbed through his heart.

His beautiful, white, shining wings. They have been ripped off. Ripped. Taken off violently, teared off of his back, so that now there was nothing but a tiny, horrible, bleeding stumps, and a terrible pain. And he was told to go in the face of earth, where he was now destined to live forever, all alone. Because Midhrien has heard that no angel has never earlier been banished from a Kingdom of Heaven. No, he was the very first.

Sighing Midhrien watched to his lap, and his eyes hurt because he still tried to hold on his tears. There they were, placed in to his lap. His beautiful, shining, white wings that were now turned to grey with dust and full of bloodstains of his, and they were broken in many places, for they had been teared off from him so cruelly. Because he had been resisting, crying in pain and so scared with tears in his eyes, struggling to get free, not understanding what had he done so horribly wrong that he must be punished like this: to take his wings away. His wings were contorted into a little bundle when they finally were off, and carried away so that they could be burned later, but Midhrien had stealed them, and came here in the world of a humen. He wanted his wings… He needed them.

He still didn’t get it. He couldn’t understand why he had to be punished like that.

Yes. He had went and fell in love with a human, at least he thought it had been love. He had watched the life of this beautifull woman with a great interest, and had dreamed that he could also live like that human, live with her in the face of earth. And he had watched, when the woman bathed, and watched her naked form, and wondered in his mind, why were the human beings so different from his kind. Without wings and their clothes on the humen were so much like them, but naked, so vulnerable in their birthday suits they looked so different. Midhrien had touched himself and tried to understand why he was so different, but he couldn’t. The angels had no sexes, they were neither men or women, and Midhrien had secretly felt jealousy against humen for he couldn’t be like them. And then, when the others found out what he wished in his heart, were his sweet wings been teared off, and he had been told: ’So you wanted to be like humen? Well, be happy, because now your wish came true! You can now go to live on earth – and there you’ll be staying forever an ever and ever!’

Little tear fell in Midhriens pale cheek, and he wept and wept, not able to stop once he had started. He was now crippled and hated and alone, without his wings, destined to live like humen, but as a sexless monster,so that no human could think he was like them and love him, or even accept him. He was the most loneliest creature in the whole world, and the worst thing was that he has the whole eternity to live on… Crying miserable, his soul shattered in to pieces, Midhrien started to feel a strange dullnes in his mind and body. As an angel he had never felt anything like that before, but still he somehow thought he understood what is was… Because he had to live like a human now, he supposed that there started to happen some changes in his body. This feeling… it had to mean that he was… sleepy. Wasn’t that the word? The feeling was strange, because angels needed no sleep, but before he even noticed, he was already in a deep, deathlike dream. He was sleeping the first time in his long, eternal life.

But what Midhrien didn’t know, was that deep in the shelter of the forest there were a pair of red, glowing eyes that had been watching him for a long time now. The lips of the owner of those red eyes turned into a overjoyed smile when the sleep took a hold of the angels body, and many thoughts swirled around the strangers mind. He is perfect, he thought as he licked his lips with his two-branched tongue. Just like I’ve always dreamed of *him* to be.
