\"Ecxuse me sir.\" the thirteen-year-old asked the shop keeper. \"I was wondering if you had any interesting things in this town that I can visit while I am here.\"
The shop keeper tapped a finger on his lips as he thought a moment. \"We have a wonderful lighthouse on the cape and some wonderful shops around town.\" he looked around as if trying to think of something else. \"Oh yes! Atop the hill, right over there, you can see the windmill. It\'s our pride and joy.\"
The kid sighed. \"Thanks. I figured at much.\"
The walk up to the lighthouse was really a long one. It didn\'t look like it at the bottom of the hill but once you got to walking up it...boy was that a different story. It was like loosing a four-year-old most of the time. Every single time they entered a new city he would turn around and be on another wild goose chace.
\"Damn it.\" the blonde kid groaned. \"Why did they have to build the friggin thing on top of the biggest fucking hill?\"
When he got to the top he looked around a little. Sure enough, at the front gate leading to the windmill, was his brother. His blue hair was swaying in the wind. It was hard for him to walk around with that guy following him simply because of the hair cut he had. It was tappered but it was done strangely. It started at the top of his eye and went down. On the right side of his head his hair hit his chin, and then it slopped down to the left side where it reached his mid back. What guy had hair like that?
\"Dnias!\" he yelled and the guy turned in his direction. \"What in the hell are you doing Dnias? I feel like I am taking care of a fucking toddler.\" The guy just smiled and opened the gate. \"Hey! It says no tresspassing Dnias! Get back here!\"
Dnias opened the door to the windmill and walked inside closing it after him. What a wonderful place. It was so old world. He grabbed the railing of the stairs as he began to climb them. As wonderful as a windmill was to look at and as wonderful as it was to be inside one it was always more enjoyable to stand out there and feel the sails moving in the wind.
He pushed the door open and took a deep breath. How wonderful this was. \"Dnias! Someone is in there with you!\" his brother yelled. \"Someone just went in there! Get out now!\"
\"Hey!\" a man said from behind him and he turned to look back. \"What are you doing in here? This is a restricted area.\"
\"Don\'t you dare!\" the blonde yelled from the ground as Dniah stepped up onto the railing. \"Dnias come down the normal way!\"
\"No wait!\" the man yelled as Dnias fell forwards.
Dnias breathed in the wind as he fell. The air caught around him and he began to slow in his decent. His feet hit the ground and he walked to the gate again. \"Are you insane?\" came his brother\'s voice from his left. \"That man saw you Dnais! I was hoping to stay in this town for at least a night but no! You have to fucking fly out of a three story windmill.\"
The blue-haired guy smiled. \"Forgive me Evelake.\" he held out his hand. \"Shall we go then?\"
\"You made it up here by yourself you can make it back down.\" Evelake told him and began to walk away.
\"Evelake I followed the mindmill\'s path.\" Dnais told him and used both his hands to feel the air for his brother. \"Are you really leaving me here Evelake?\"
\"Yes!\" Evelake shouted from further away. \"You\'re seventeen you can find your own way back.\"
Dnias pulled his hands to his chest and stood there. Someone set a hand on his shoulder and he let out a yell and pulled away. \"Who are you?\"
\"I have a better question. What were you doing in a place that is off limits?\" the guy asked him. \"You could get in serious trouble you know. Hey, would you look at me when I am talking to you.\"
\"I don\'t know where you are...\" Dnias answered.
The man was obviously studdying him. \"Oh, hey I\'m sorry.\"
Dnias nodded. \"It\'s all right. A simple misunderstanding.\"
\"You flew.\" the guy said. \"How did you do that?\"
\"I have to find my brother.\" Dnias backed away from him. \"Where is my brother?\" the man grabbed his wrist but Dnias pulled away. \"Please, leave me alone.\"
Dnias fell backwards and lay there in the grass as the man laughed softly. \"I was just trying to stop you from tripping. Sorry if I scared you. My name is Arek.\"
A hand grabbed his and Dnias was pulled up. \"Dnias. My name is Dnias.\"
\"You want me to help you find your brother Dnias?\" Arek asked him.
\"I would like that very much thank you.\" Dnias agreed.
They looked for forever and found nothing. Dnias had been yelling his name for half the day and still they had found nothimg. The entire time Arek had kept a hand on Dnias\'s elbow, which Dnais wasn\'t used to because Evelake usually made him follow by sound, and had not let go even once.
\"It\'s getting late.\" Arek told him. \"The sun is setting Dnias.\"
Dnias pulled his arm from Arek\'s grasp. \"Evelake! Please brother answer me!\"
\"Dnias.\" Arek said softly. They had been out for hours and talked most of the time. Arek had learned a lot about the blue-haired young man and Dnias had learned things about him. Though Dnias had avoid when Arek had asked him how he had become blind. \"Please, we can look in the morning.\"
\"No!\" Dnias turned in his direction. \"I must find him now. I have no where to go and no money!\"
\"You can stay with me for the night.\" Arek offered. \"I have an extra room and you clearly need food. Don\'t argue please.\"
Dnias felt Arek grab his elbow again. \"Arek...thank you.\"
When they arrived at the house Arek let go of Dnias\'s arm and began to pick son stuff up. \"I guess right now I am happy you can\'t see. My house is a mess.\"
Dnias felt along the shelf next to him and lifted a picture frame. \"What is this Arek?\"
Arek quickly took it from him. \"Don\'t touch this okay?\"
\"Sorry.\" Dnias muttered. \"I didn\'t mean to.\"
\"It\'s okay. You didn\'t know.\" Arek answered and took his hand this time. \"I\'ll take you to your room.\" When they entered the room Dnias felt around for a minute. \"I suppose you don\'t need a candle.\"
\"A candle would be nice.\" Dnias answered. \"If you don\'t mind.\"
Arek stood there a moment really wanting to ask what Dnias would need a candle for but he thought better. \"I\'ll get you one then. Be right back.\" when Arek came back into the room Dnias was sitting on the bed holding a small box. His hands running over it as if imprinting the image. \"It\'s a music box.\"
Dnias jumped. \"My goodness you walk quietly. I didn\'t even hear you coming.\"
Arek sat by him and opened the box. \"It used to be my daughter\'s.\"
\"Forgive me.\" Dnias said. \"I did not mean to touch something so important to you.\"
\"It\'s not that important.\" Arek answered and set the box back on the nightstand. \"It\'s been two years.\"
Dnias lifted his hand towards where Arek\'s voice was coming from. \"May I...see you?\"
Arek took Dnias\'s hand and set it on his face. Dnias turned so he was sitting on his knees facing Arek and used both his hands to mold Arek\'s face in his mind. \"What do you see?\"
\"What color are your eyes and hair?\" Dnias asked him.
\"My eyes are brown, so is my hair.\" Arek answered.
Dnias trailed a hand down and hesitated a moment before running his fingertips over Arek\'s lips. Arek\'s lips parted and Dnias felt his tongue lightly trace his fingers. \"Arek?\"
Arek took Dnias\'s hands from his face. \"You should get some rest. You must be worried about your brother.\"
\"Evelake is not really my brother.\" Dnias said softly. \"I used to take care of him, after his mother died, at our home. A lot changed. Evelake seems to look after me now...in his own way.\"
Arek set a hand on the side of Dnias\'s face and tilted it up so he could look in those pupiless eyes. \"From what I can tell you need more then what that boy does Dnias. He doesn\'t seem to treat you that well at all.\"
Dnias blushed softly. \"He doesn\'t give me charity just because I cannot see. I suppose that is the best thing for me. I need to learn to do things on my own just in case I am left on my own...like today.\"
\"What happened to you? Why are you blind?\"
\"I need to rest.\" Dnias said and turned away from him. \"I have to look for Evelake tomorrow.\"
\"Dnias.\" Arek said but the boy didn\'t listen. \"Dnias stop.\" Arek grabbed his arm and Dnias jerked away falling on the floor. \"Are you okay Dnias?\" He asked and pulled Dnias up. \"I didn\'t mean to hurt you.\"
The boy kept his head lowered. \"I\'m fine. I just want to get some sleep is all.\"
Arek ran a hand through Dnias\'s hair. \"I just met you...and yet I feel something I haven\'t felt in a very long time.\"
\"I have that affect on people.\" Dnias muttered.
\"I only ever felt this when I was around my wife.\" Arek admitted. \"Why is it coming back around you?\"
Dnias bit his lip. \"I don\'t know...I don\'t know but...\" he backed away a little. \"I need sleep.\"
\"Stop giving me half-ass answers Dnias. But what?\"
\"But I haven\'t felt like this for someone ever.\" Dnias answered. \"And I shouldn\'t because I just met you!\"
Arek grabbed Dnias\'s hand and pulled him close. \"How about we see where this goes?\"
Dnias\'s eyes stayed strait ahead so it made it seem like he was staring at Arek\'s chest. \"You are asking me if I want to sleep with you?\"
\"I am asking to see how far it will go.\" Arek answered. \"We wont do anything you don\'t want to.\"
\"I...\" Dnias started. \"Okay then.\"
Arek leaned his head down again and captured Dnias\'s lips with his own. Dnias gripped the front of Arek\'s shirt and Arek wrapped his arms around Dnias, holding him close. It was a true first kiss. Arek ran his tongue along Dnias\'s bottom lip, asking for enterance, and Dnias gasped.
The window behind Arek flew open and a strong wind blew through the room. The two waited for the wind to stop before Arek walked over and closed the window. When he looked back Dnias was sitting on the bed with his face in his hands.
\"Dnias?\" Arek asked sitting by him. \"What\'s wrong Dnias?\"
\"I\'m sorry. The room must be a mess now.\" Dnias answered.
\"Not really.\" Arek reassured him. \"There really isn\'t anything to make a mess of in this room.\"
Dnias brought his hands from his face. \"I can\'t tell you what is wrong with me. I don\'t even know what is wrong with me. I don\'t understand why you would even give me the time of day.\"
Arek smiled. \"Dnias I admit that you are slightly insecure, but I would be too if I were in your shoes. Other then that I don\'t see anything wrong with you.\"
Arek wrapped an arm around Dnias pulling him close. They kissed softly again before Arek pushed his lips harder against Dnias\'s. Dnias wrapped his arms around Arek as the man laid him back. Dnias moaned as Arek\'s tongue ran along his bottom lip again and he opened his mouth for the man. A gasp escaped his lips as Arek\'s tongue touched his and Arek set a hand on his side.
Dnias\'s back arched as Arek\'s hand slid up his shirt, touching his burning skin. For a while there was no other movement then this. Arek pulled his lips from Dnias\'s and moved to his neck. His hand came out from under Dnias\'s shirt and he grabbed the back of Dnias\'s legs, spreading them so he could lay between them.
\"Tell me to stop and I will.\" Arek told him as he let his hips rest in the cradle Dnias\'s legs had made. Dnias gasped at the feeling and his head tilted back. \"God I haven\'t felt this in such a long time.\"
\"I...I have never...\" Dnias panted out. \"Never felt this...\"
\"Do you want me to tell you what I am going to do?\" Arek asked him.
Dnias shook his head. \"I like to be surprised.\"
