Calculus
Michelle, a freshman in an all girl college, sits in the second row of her Calculus class. She and her classmates are waiting for the arrival of the teacher. The teacher walks in carrying a bowl of something and smiles at the girls.
\"Good morning ladies, Welcome to Calculus! I am sure you are as excited as I am about this year. How about we start with some basic algebra? If anybody gets it right, that person gets a prize. Okay solve this.\"
The problem he put on the board:
2x=5x+30
+3x=6x+0
Several people went up to solve the problem, but nobody could solve this simple Algebra problem. Mr. Buchanan, the math teacher, gave each a smile for trying. Finally, it was Michelle\'s turn, and her answer was:
5x=11x+30
-11x+5x=30
-6x=30
x= -5
\"That\'s correct! Here is your reward,\" Mr. Buchanan says offering her the contents in the basket. Inside the basket, there were brownies. Michele took one.
\"Since all of you put an effort to solve a problem, you can have a treat, too,\" Mr. Buchanan gave the basket to pass around the room. Some girls took one. When Mr. Buchanan wasn\'t looking, the girls took more than one. Only a few like Michelle only took her fair share: one.
\"Okay girls, we will begin our first lesson.\" Mr. Buchanan went on teaching for the rest of the class period. Everytime he asks a question and someone gets it right he will give them the bowl of chocolate. Most girls would answer correctly and get a lot. Others would answer correctly and get one. The bell finally rung. The girls got up to leave.
\"Thanks for the great participation, ladies. I\'ll see you tomorrow.\" The girls left the room chatting how cool their Math teacher was.

For the next few weeks, the girls would always get rewarded for answering problems correctly, and as always some would get a lot and some would get one. After the 10th week, something happened.
