Through Hell and Back
Flashes of light and the booming sound of explosions could be heard in the rubble-reduced city. Once a major financial and cultural city but now that was in the distant past.
Even though every other city in the world had been effected by these evil-vile creatures, the citizens of this city always felt it the worst because they had been one of the most prosperous.
A small girl no more then 15 moved from the shadows in a small dark alleyway. She shivered as a cold wind blew through the alleyway and she pulled the blanket closer. She had been born when this city was a beautiful city and it hadn\'t been until five years ago that everything was perfectly fine. But, then those damn creatures came!
The young girl\'s parents and her immidiate family had been killed by the creatures. She was all by herself and she was extremely lonely.
The young girl coughed and pulled the blanket closer to her. She was extremely beautiful for her age in human terms. She was small and very slender, maybe only 50-62lbs. She had light brown hair and soft green eyes. As she continued to walk up the alleyway she noticed something on the ground and bent down to pick it up.
At the moment 20-40 of the \'monsters\' flew overhead but she was inclosed in the small alleyway and they continued onward. These creatures headed east to the hearty of the city where their home was. However, a small group broke off from the others and headed for the local park where movement was spotted.
The lead creature landed in the park on top of what was a park bench. His front leg crushed the cement beam that supported the bench and the creature looked into the dark. Soon four other creatures landed because they were followers of their leader. The leader slowly moved forward and let out a call of alarm when several objects moved out of the darkness in front of him.
Two of his closest followers took off and landed immediately on the two human males who had lead pipes and knives with them. Slowly they could hear the bones in the small humans begin to pop as they began to thrash, trying to escape. One of the humans let out a scream before sharp fangs bit deeply into his chest and neck. The two other creatures came in to feast.
The girl heard the scream from the alleyway about a block away and took off running to see what was happening even though a small voice told her not to. She rounded the corner and looked on in horror as she saw several creatures in the park making shrieks and growls. The young girl gulped and slowly headed back to the alleyway. Once she had reached it\'s safety, she turned around to run but heard a crunch behind her.
The girl slowly turned around to come face to face with one of the creatures. As she looked into its black eyes she noticed its other features as well.
The creature had fur covering his whole body, and he had four legs that were connected to four sharp claws on each paw. It was 7\' high and 10\' long with black eyes and sharp 6\" teeth that were as sharp as razor blades. The creature had a smile on its face as she took an unsteady pace backwards. Then the creature lunged at her!
