Wicked Game
Chapter One

The wind blew softly through the small quiet town. The sky a deep blue hue swept into soft plum as the sun came over the horizon, bringing with it the dawn of a new day. Silence encased the town in the wee morning hours. And peace reigned as the villagers slept snug in their beds. Well, almost everyone.

Sigh. \'Get up or not get up\'. A figure rolled over and looked out the open window. The morning light not yet reaching the small room. Another sigh left the figures lips as they rose from their spot. The figure stretched languidly before exiting the room and walking quietly into another.

The figure bent down over a chair and deftly brushed the locks of gold from the person sleeping in the chair. \"Mother\" Said a soft voice. \"Mother wake up\"

The woman let out a small moan of displeasure at being woken up. Her cornflower blue eyes fluttered open as she looked up at the person who hovered over her. A small smile caressed her lips \"Kell. Good morning son.\" She said quietly.

Kell smiled back as he bent down to her level. \"Morning mother. How is father?\" He asked as he looked over at the man sleeping on the small straw bed.

\"He has seen better days\" She said sadly as she too looked over at her husband.

\"Don\'t worry mother, he\'ll get better\" He said as he gently patted her hand with his. She gave him a weak smile and nodded \"Of course\" She replied. Kell got up and walked back into his room and retrieved his pillow and blanket. He walked back into his mother\'s room and placed the blanket over her form.

\"Kell .. what is this?\" She asked as she looked up to the boy.

\"Well, with father sick, we need to keep you well\" He said as he eased her forward and placed the pillow behind her head.

\"Oh Kell ...\" She sighed and looked down at the blanket and then over at her husband. Kell walked over to the windows and closed the shutters, keeping the cool air and the bright morning light out of the room. He looked over at his mother and raised his brow in concern. \"Mother? Mother what\'s wrong?\"

\"I\'m so sorry Kell. I wish your father was better so you wouldn\'t have to do this\" She said sadly. Kell shook his head and walked over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. \"I needed to learn sooner or later.\" He said with a small smile. \"And besides, it won\'t kill me to do a little work around the house\" He patted his mother\'s shoulder as he started out of the room. \"I\'ll be outside if you should need me\" He said as exited.

The early morning started like every other. Kell made his way down to the open market to gather food for today\'s breakfast and dinner. Which mostly consisted of eggs, bread and chicken. He paid for the goods and walked back to his home. He went in and put the food on the table, then took the chicken outside and lopped off it\'s head with a small hand ax, then took it back in for his mother to prepare later.

He walked back outside and pulled the large ax from the tree stump it was stuck into. He grabbed a small log and stood it length wise on the stump and chopped it in half. He did this for more than half the day, as he found it easier to do it all at once instead of every morning. Specially with the coming Autumn months.

Kstopstopped and looked up as he heard someone approach him. A smile crossed his face as he seen the familiar form. He bowed slightly. \"Good afternoon Mrs. Smith\" He said in a cheerful voice.

The woman smiled softly and gave a small bow in return. \"\'Afternoon Kell. How\'s your mother and father?\" She said as she adjusted her bonnet with her left hand.

\"Mother\'s doing alright. Father\'s about the same\" He said as swung the ax into the stump.

\"I\'m sorry to hear that. I brought this over for your parents.\" She said as she handed him a warm pie tin. \"It\'s apple, I know it\'s their favorite.

\"Apple pie ..\" He said quietly as he graciously took the tin. \"Thank you Mrs. Smith, I\'m sure they\'ll enjoy it.\" He said with a grin.

Mrs. Smith smiled warmly at the boy. \"Make sure you get some yourself Kell\" She wit with a chuckle. Kell nodded as he shifted the tin from one hand to the other, as it was fresh from the oven. \"Well, I must be off. Do tell your mother I send good tidings\" The woman said as she left their property.

Kell waved as he watched her leave and then turned to go inside. He kicked the stray logs of wood closer to the side of the house as he walked up to the door. He shifted the tin again as he walked inside. He set the pie down onto the table and went into his mother\'s room. After seeing both his parents asleep, he decided to let them be and take care of dinner himself.

It was about an hour later Emily, Kell\'s mother, emerged from their bedroom just as Kell was setting down the plates. Kell looked up at the sound of the chair scraping the ground. He was met with a small smile and tired eyes. \"Evening Mother, did you sleep well?\" He inquired as he set a few chicken pieces and bread on a large plate.

\"I did. I want to thank you for cooking dinner Kell. I\'m sorry I wasn\'t awake\" She said as she looked the food over. Kell shook his head as he set thst ost of the bread on the plate. \"Please don\'t be sorry. I honestly don\'t mind.\"

Kell started to fill up a pitcher of water when there was a sharp knock at the door. He raised his brow, wondering who would be coming to them so late into the evening. He walked over and opened the door and much to his surprised found Mrs. Smith nervously staring back at him.

\"Good evening Kell, have you seen Sarah Lee. I can\'t find her anywhere\" Mrs. Smith said in a worried voice. Emily got up from her chair and walked over to the door. \"Come inside Elizabeth, I\'m sure she\'s fine.\" She said as she took Elizabeth\'s hand and guided her to one of the empty chairs.

Elizabeth sat down and pulled off her bonnet, letting her dark brown hair fall from it\'s sheltered place. She held it in her hands and wringed it as she sp\"I \"I hope your right Emily. I\'ve heard rumors of vagabonds going from town to town. No one knows what their looking for. But there were reported to be at least four of them. And who knows how many more\" She said in a panicked tone.

Kell looked over at his mother and she nodded to him. He walked over and knelt down in front of the frightened woman. \"If you want, I can go look for her. She\'ll come to me, I am her favorite.\" He said in a soft reassuring voice. She looked up to him with watery eyes. \"Oh Kell, would you? I don\'t know who else would. At this time of night, with these .. wanderers around.\" She grasped his hand in her own and looked at him sternly. \"You becarefull out there Kell. If ... if you can\'t find her .. then come back. I don\'t want you to get hurt\" She said, then gave him a brief hug.

Kell nodded and stood up. He hugged his mother before heading out the door. The night was falling quickly as he could now see the starts light up across the navy blue sky. He looked about town before heading out towards the woods. Once at the edge he turned and looked back towards the town. He hoped above all his parents would be alright. He\'d never been into the woods after dark before, so he knew not what lurked beyond the green brush of the forest\'s entrance.

He exhaled deeply as he gathered his courage and ventured forward. He was about a mile in and still on the dirt path when he decided to calr her her. Hoping find hrathrather than a hungry animal.

\"Sarah! .... Sarah Lee ..!?\" He called out into the night. He wandered further onto the path when he heard a muffled noise. Fearing the worst, though letting his curiosity move him, he traveled on. He stopped with a gasp as he came upon a creature of which he had never seen.

The creature snapped it\'s head up and growled at Kell. The creature looked more human than not. But Kell knew this .. thing could not bean. an. He gapped at what he saw in the creatures grasp. \"S...Sarah ..\" He managed to choke out.

The human-like creature stood up, holding Sarah by her neck. He grinned viciously as he tossed her aside like a dirty rag. Kell winced as Sarah\'s body hit the nearest tree with a sickening crack, then watched it fall lifelessly to the ground. He knew .. that she was no longer alive. He slowly looked back at the creature and shuddered as it grinned at him.

Kell turned to run, but before he could the creature advanced and knocked Kell to the ground. He cried out as his head hit the forest floor. He opened his eyes only to find the creature hovering over him. He surprised to find the creature looked remotely human. The creature straddled the boy\'s chest and grinned down at him.

\"My, your pretty for a human\" He said as he brought a cold, pale hand up to caress the boy\'s face. The wicked grin returned as his tac-like fingernail grazed Kell\'s ne

\"The name\'s Chase, because it\'s what I like to do. Just thought you\'d like to put a name to the face that\'s about to rip your throat out\" He said as pressed his nail into the skin. Small drops of blood seeped through the puncture wound. Chase smiled and bent down, licking the blood from the boy\'s neck.

Kell closed his eyes. He should -not- be enjoying this. This ... .thing just told him he was going to kill him. So why didn\'t he move already? Before he counswenswer, he cried out as searing pain shot through his neck and body. Chase bit down into the flesh and began to drink the boy\'s life away.

Kell flailed around as much as he could. But he was getting tired now. He could feel his life slipping away. Chase pulled the boy to him in a rough embrace as he fed. Kell gripped the creatures shirt as he tried to push him away, to no avail. The creature stopped before Kell\'s life faded. Chase dropped the boy to the ground and stood up, blood dripping from his face.

\"My, me. You\'re too pretty to die\" He looked around before turning to his left \"What do you think? Turn or die?\" He said, as if asking someone a question. He then turned to Kell and grinned \"Yes, I know.\" He said as he roamed his eyes over the boy\'s form. He sighed heavily and turned back away from Kell as he spoke again \"Yes I know! Shut up! I\'ll do what I want to!\" He then calmly walked back over to Kell and knelt down. \"Well, it looks like you get to live.\" He said as lifted the boy into a sitting position. He then dragged his nail across his wrist and put it to the boy\'s mouth. \"Forever\"

Kell could feel the cold, thick liquid as it ran down the back of his throat. He was much too weak to try to get away. Once Chase felt it was enough he dropped the boy to the ground before licking his handmade wound. \"Won\'t be long now\" He said shakily as he walked in circles around him.

Kell screamed as he arched his back in response to the pain. It felt as if his very body was being torn to shreds. And then the darkness claimed him.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

Kell\'s eyes slowly opened and when he did, he gasped as he was taken aback by all that he could see. The forest was laced in darkness, as the day had ended and gave way to the night. He sat up as he looked around where he had laid. He blinked a few times as he watched vermin crawl across the ground. He could see everything so clearly. Not as if it were day, just more ... open. His head snapped to the side as he heard a faint laughing. He moved on his hands and knee\'s, not ready to trust his balance to try to walk. He made his way along the cold earth. He stopped and almost blanched at what he saw. It was the creature who had attacked him. Chase held the nude body of Sarah Lee in his arms like a doll. He laughed as he gently caressed the hair on her head, talking to her as if he were a child. He chuckled again as he grazed his sharp fingertips over the length of her body. The markings it made did not bleed, as she was now devoid of the lifeblood her form once held.

Chase looked up and that same wicked grin Kell had seen earlier returned. \"Awake pretty?\" He cooed as he dropped the girl to the ground in a lifeless heap.

Kell\'s new eyes moved from the girl back to Chase several times before he scampered backwards. He was stopped short when he backed himself up against a tree. He looked around, panicked at the thought of being killed ... again? Wait a minute ... He looked down at himself and noticed his skin had gotten colder and paler. He put his fingers to his neck and gasped when he felt no pulse. Am I dead? He asked himself.

\"Not dead. But not alive either.\" Chase said as he dropped from the tree\'s and landed in front of Kell. \"In between\" He muttered as he dragged his fingertips across the boy\'s jaw.

loo looked up to Chase and was surprised at what he saw. He no longer saw the creature he had before, but a young man. A very crazy young man. \"W...what did you do\" He asked in a hushed voice.

\"You have become\" He said as he twirled his finger around Kell\'s dark locks, playing with it. Kell raised his brow \"Become?\".

Chase shoved him hard against the tree and bared his fangs \"I wasn\'t finished yet!!\" He screamed. \"Yes. You\'ve become one of us. Nightwalkers. Soultakers. Deathbringers.\" He grasped the boy by the hair, pulled him forward and tilted his head up towards his as he bent in. \"Vampires\" He whispered against the boy\'s lips as he claimed them. Kissing them, tasting them, biting them. Kell whimpered as his hands crawled up Chase\'s shirt and tried to push him away. But it was futile as he was still weak in his new life, his hands fisted in the dirty silk.

Chase deepend the kiss, thus driving his sharp points deeper into the flesh, blood dripping out from the corners of Kell\'s mouth, sliding down his chin and onto his snow white shirt. Kell moaned softly as Chase pushed him roughly against the tree, one hand slinking up under the boy\'s arm and wrapping around the neck, digging his sharp nails into the cool flesh.

Chase stopped and pulled back, sniffing the air. He let out a low growl before looking to either side of him. He looked at Kell \"They\'re coming\" He whispered before leaning in and running his tongue along the boy\'s lips in one final taste before taking off into the dark forest.

Slowly, but carefully Kell raised himself from the ground. He walked around the tree and made his way back to the path with amazing clarity. He wasn\'t sure what being one of these ... vampires meant. He was fairlrtairtain it wasn\'t at all that good. He thought for a moment about retrieving Sara Lee, but decided not too, for what reason he couldn\'t remember.

He made his way back to the village. The glowing of the firelight\'s from the houses were almost too strong for his newfound vampire eyes. He crossed the short distance to his house only to find both of his parents already awaiting him. They gasped aloud when they saw him and stepped back. He frowned at them, not understand why they move away.

\"Mother ...therther?\" He says quietly before moving forward, only to have them move back even more.

\"S..stay back .. \" Emily stuttered as she clasped her husbands arm. Kell looked to both of them. \'What\'s going on?\' he asked himself. Then out of the corner of his eye he caught movement. A man with a crossbow came into view. He was wearing long black robes and had on a silver rimmed black hat. \"Stay away from the humans, fiend\" His gruff voice said.

Kell looked between the three of them. \"I .. I don\'t understand.\" He said weakly.

\"Don\'t und\'stand do ya?\" He said. He moved his head and two more black clothed men came out and dropped the body of Sarah Lee onto the ground in front of them. His mother gasped and looked away as his father just closed his eyes. \"She was found in the forest, nude and taken. Markings on her neck in forms of two\" He said as he looked pointedly at Kell. \"She\'s been dead for hours.\"

Kell shook his head wildly \"I didn\'t! I swear it! I never ... -\" Kell was suddenly cut off by the gruff man.

\"Silence demon!\" He shouted \"We shall have no of of this\" He moved his hand again \"Take him.\" He looked to Kell\'s parents who just nodded solemnly.

Kell cried out and his knee\'s buckls ses searing hot pain shot through his upper half. Two cloaked men grasped Kell by the shoulders, their elongated fingers curled slightly as the smell of burning flesh rose through the air. The man walkewardwards Kell and held his crossbow against his chest, over his heart. \"I should kill you where you stand demon\" He said as he held up an ungloved hand, palm facing the boy. In his fingertips were groves in the shapes of crosses, filled with pure silver. He pressed his index finger where the arrow had been and Kell screamed out in pain. The man smirked \"But we\'ve got plans for you. Take him away\" He said as he pulled his hand away and put the glove back on.

Kell looked up to his parents as he was being drug away. He struggled against there harsh and burning grasp. \"Mother! Father! Please! Help me!! I swear to you ... I didn\'t do this!!\" He cried out, tears streaming down his chilled face. Emily and her husband watched for as long as they could, not looking the slightest bit remorseful for what they have just done. Emily turned away and walked back into the house. \"Mother!!\" Kell cried out at to her as the door clicked shut. Marcus Thatcher glowered at the demon that was before him. His son. He started to turn away \"Do not call me father, for I have no son\" And then he too entered the house. Gone from his son\'s sight. Forever. \"Father!!\" Kell sobbed out as he was drug from the village and into the forest. Far the from the sight of the ones he once knew, trusted and loved.

The hunters and the newly made vampire walked on through the night, deep into the dark secluded forest. Not a sound was heard except for their footsteps along the wet dewy grass. The man in lead stopped at a crossroad and looked back to the other four and nodded to the left. The turned onto the left path and was met with a large cavern. They continued to walk on through and down a long dirt path. They stopped when they came to a fork in the path, turning right they kept going, silently, towing the vampire behind them on a leash. After awhile they came to a dead end. Or so it seemed. The lead hunter pulled the glove off his right hand and placed his fingertips to the wall for a moment before retracting it. There was a rumbling noise as the wall suddenly split in two and opened up into a small roo dusty room. He walked in and motioned for the others to follow, the wall sealing up behind them. They walked through the room and travelled up the stairs that lay in front of them.

Kell blinked his eyes as the light from the room suddenly invaded his vision. He looked around as he was being shoved down a long hallway. They seemed to be in a house now, or building of some sort. He wasn\'t sure. They stopped in front of a door. They ushered Kell up to the lead hunter and he took him by the back of the neck as he unlocked the door. The man then shoved him inside the dark room, shutting and locking the door behind him. He stood there as he waited for his vampire eyes to adjust. It was nothing more than an empty room. He could see the outline of the windowless room. He sighed heavily as he walked over to one of the walls and crouched in the corner, staring intently at the door, his eyes narrow and cold.

------------------------------------------slash-scene---------------------------------

Kell snapped his head up at the sound of the door unlocking. It was deafening within the silence of the dark room, cutting through it like a knife. He squinted his eyes as the light shinned in as the door opened. He didn\'t know who they were, but could make out three figures. As they stepped into the dark room their features became clear. He recognized two of the three men as the ones who had taken him from his home. He snarled at them, baring the sharp fangs he had grown earlier in the night. He just might have to put them to use. He crouched down and crawled like a preditor along the wall, keeping his distance from the men.

It didn\'t matter of course, when he felt the sharp sting of cold leather wrapped around his neck, pulling him to the ground in front of them. The man in lead smirked at his bowing position. He snarled and hissed at them, but it did nothing but make them laugh. He didn\'t like where this was heading, but there was little he could do. The third man yanked on the leather whip that was wrapped around him and dragged him to his feet. The second man walked behind him and bound his wrists behind his back. He fought them of course, but their hands were ungloved and it burned his flesh when they touched him. He could hear them snickering as he howled in pain.

They turned and walked out of the room, dragging him behind them like a dog they were taking for a walk. He didn\'t like the twisting feeling he was getting in his gut as they stopped before a large oak door. The lead man stood to the side and motioned to the door. The second man opened it and stepped in, standing in the door way. The lead man took Kell by the chin and forced him to look his way. \"Who .. who are you ..\" Was the only thing his hushed voice could say.

\"My name is Venatio and that is all you need to know. These two men are under my orders.\" He said with a smirk. He pointed to the second man already in the room. \"This is Thadius Wolfe ... and this\" He motioned to the third man, the one holding the whip \"Is Reegan Hawkes. They\'ve been assigned to take \"care\" of you. To make sure you know your place within the ranks of the Hunters.\" He said with a sadistic grin.

Wolfe smirked \"That\'s right vampy boy, the more you struggle the more it\'ll hurt. Unless you like that sort of thing.\" He chuckled as he turned and walked further into the room. Hawkes nodded to Venatio and shoved Kell into the room, then entered it himself, shutting and locking the door behind him.

Wolfe grabbed the whip and tugged Kell over to him. He unwound it from his neck and tossed it aside. \"I don\'t really think you\'ll need that, you can\'t move much the way it is.\" He said with a grin \"Which is a good thing, just so you understand that. Be compliable, it makes things easier.\" He said as he led Kell towards a very large bed.

Kell\'s eyes widened and he stopped. They ... they ... oh god they were. He tried to walk away from it but bumped into Hawkes, who now stood behind him. \"I don\'t think so cutie, not getting away that easy.\" He said as he grabbed Kell by the wrists and pushed him towards the bed. Kell struggled as much as he could before he was pushed face down onto the soft mattress. Wolfe climbed onto the bed, already unclothed and dragged the vampire by the arms onto the bed.

Hawkes stood at the end of the bed and started to remove his clothing. He smirked as he watched Kell struggle on the bed. \"Ahh I like it when they fight.\" He said cooly as he kicked his pants off and climbed into the bed. He kneeled behind Kell, reached around and started to remove his clothing, ripping off his pants and throwing them off the side of the bed. He ran his hand, which was now gloved, across Kell\'s pale bare backside.

Kell squeezed his eyes shut as the man touched him. He couldn\'t believe this waspenipening to him. He bit down a cry as he felt the man insert a finger into him. His body lurched forward as the man inserted another finger into his hole. Hawkes grinned and inserted a third, feeling around for that special spot. Kell cried out as Hawkes stroked over the spot. He grinned, found it. He continued to stroke it as the boy unconciously pushed back against the mans hand. Kell laid his head on the bed, his mind fuzzy. \'I shouldn\'t be .... oh god that feels good ..\' He closed his eyes as he rocked back against the man.

Wolfe kneeled in front of Kell and glared at Hawkes while stroking his own hard cock \"Would you get on with it.\" He said irritably. Hawkes looked up and smirked. \"Impatient are we? Very well\" He sighed as he removed his fingers from the boy. He grabbed Kell\'s bound wrists and pulled him into a half kneeling position. He looked up at Wolfe expectantly. The other man rolled his eyes and moved towards the vampire. He grabbed Kell by his chin and guided his head upwards, pushing open his mouth with his thumb. Kell, still quite dazed had complied without a struggle. Wolfe slid his cock into the boy\'s warm mouth. He groaned as he pushed it all the way in, coming to a stop when he reached the back of Kells throat, pulling back just a bit not wanting the boy to choke. He looked up at Hawkes, who had positioned himself at the boy\'s entrance.

Hawkes gripped the boy\'s hip with his other hand and thrust into him, filling the boy with his cock. Kell moved foward as the length slid over the spot, causing him to moan aloud. Wolfe groaned at this \"Man .. you\'ve got to try this .. it\'s so fucking good.\" he breathed out. Hawkes looked at him distastefully \"No thanks, I like the way things are now.\" He said as he pulled out and thrust back in. \"Very much so\" He growled.

Kell closed his eyes as the men fucked him from both ends. He couldn\'t deny that it felt good, because it did. He didn\'t like being bound like this, specially when it felt like this. Wolfe thrust his cock in and out of the boy\'s mouth, his hand nestled in the dark locks as he moved. \"You\'re such a good boy\" he moaned as he played with the boy\'s hair. Kell found this oddly comforting.

Hawkes quickened his pace as his breathing turned into panting. He leaned forward and slid his hand from the boy\'s hip and wrapped it around his cock, sliding it up and down his length as he started to pump it in time with his own rhythm. Kell cried out as his body thrust forward against the man. Wolfe growled \"God .. whatever you just did ... keep fucking doing it ..\" He began to thrust faster into the boy\'s mouth, hitting the back of his throat as he did so. Kell moaned against this sudden rush of multiple sensations. Hawkes couldn\'t help but smirk as he continued to pound into the boy while stroking his cock, harder and faster with each thrust he made.

Kell bucked his hips into the mans hand as he came, crying out against the cock in his mouth. Wolfe threw his head back as the reverberations from the boy caused him to go over the edge. He thrust into the boys mouth as he came, urging the boy to swallow it all. Hawkes growled out as the vampires muscles clenched around his cock, causing him to fill the boy with his seed. He released the boy\'s cock and thrust once more before pulling out. He sat back on the bed and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

Wolfe brushed his fingers through the boy\'s hair as he pulled out of his mouth. \"You were good. I like you\" He whispered as he bent down and brushed his lips against Kells, tasting himself on the boy\'s mouth. Kell wasn\'t sure what to think of all this. So he just laid there and nodded his response to the kinder man. He wasn\'t sure what else happened after that, his mind was still very fuzzy by the time he had drifted off. The other two men fell asleep where they had sat, spent from the nights events. Though Kell was pretty sure this wouldn\'t be the last of it.
