Chapter 1

Star entered her apartment and went directly to her answering machine expecting a message from her boyfriend. Eight messages and none were from him. She sighed and walked to her bathroom to run her bath water. She was undressing when the doorbell rang. She reluctantly walked to the door and saw an envelope on the ground. She looked down the hallway and saw no one. She picked up the envelope and closed the door. It had her name written across it se ope opened it. She was shocked to see a plane ticket inside. It had all her information on it so she figured it was from someone she knew. It was a ticket to some island she had never heard of. She was confused for a minute and then a thought crossed her mind. “ I can’t believe he did this.” She said to herself.
He knew she had wanted a vacation for the longest time. That meant he did listen when she spoke to him. After a quick shower she called a cab and headed for an airport.

After about a two- hour flight she arrived on the island. She was surprised to see only five other people on the plane with her. When she was leaving the airport she saw someone with a sign with her name on it. She went over to him.
“ I’m star. Are you suppose to pick me up?”
“ Yes I am. My car is this way.”

“ Didn’t you read the note in the envelope?”

“ Did you know it was me that sent you the ticket?”

“ I’m sorry. I thought it was my boyfriend. If I had known it was you I wouldn’t have…”
