Prologue
RED: PROLOGUE
The cold weather was completely forgotten in the heat of the moment. The noise outside caused by the police cars and helicopters circling the old warehouse was deafning. Endless amounts of reporters trying to get the story of the year on the air while the bursts of icy air played with their bodies like children did new toys was a site most would laugh at, had the seriousness in their voice not stilled the onlookers and brought them to tears.
This indeed was the story of the year, of not the decade. It was to be the talk of the nation for years to come, it will be known far more widely than Jack the Ripper and his sick story. It had been more devestating than Leopold and Loeb. Indeed murder was an everyday occourance. It always would be. Was murder, was this facination and exploitation of murder an everyday occourance? Yes, it happened today, it happened everyday. Death usually only effected those close to those dead, but today, those with the glossy look over taking their beautiful eyes, they were the children of the entire world\'s population. They were your brothers, your sisters. They were your best friend. And they were dead.
The snipers on the roofs of the surrounding buildings searched the warehouse for any sight of movement. One deadly man covered by the shadows on the rooftop directly across the street from the front of the building was staring pointedly at the front doors, and had a hand gun aimed at them. A hush swept thr the the crowd when the doors flew open, and out stepped a blonde girl, dressed in nothing but a towel dripping with blood. Her face, streaked with tears and caked with blood, had a set expression, one that had stared into the face of death, and been told she would die. She had one hand holding the front of her would-be white towel, and the other dragging the body of a male. The girl dropped to her knees, whispering a silent verse into the air when a shot rang out. The girl\'s eyes drooped shut as she smiled an innocent smile, falling on the concrete before the steps lifeless.
Her hand still held the boy\'s hand as the last thoughts of life left her mind...forever.

A/N: This has nothing to do with the next few chapters, although you will find out where this all fits in at the end of my story. I hope you appreciate it.
