Sunshine and Shadow
Warnings: Ths NCs NC-17. It is GRAPHIC. There is non-consensual sex, a lot of it. There is yuri (girls with other girls), a lot of it. There is physical and psychological torture, a lot of it. And there probably won’t be a happy ending. If these things squick you, make you want to be mad at me, erm *points to the warning* You are warned.
On a lighter note of warnings: It’s a Tolkein Rip Off Shameless Self Insert (Admittedly, I can’t name even one elf-fantasy store that ISN”T a Tolkein Rip Off.) If you hate SI’s on principle, don’t flame me about, kay? I will point to the warning here and laugh.
Finally, I hope at least one other person enjoys the story! That’s why I am sharing. I’ll shut up now and let you get to it!
Sunshine and Shadow
Chapter One
I breathed in the spring air, filling my lungs and my spirit. The grass beneath my feet was fresh, green, returning to life. The breeze whipped around taunting me with the threat of winter's return. I closed my eyes and felt the sensations, reveling in them, tasting them. A small bird flew towards me, distress radiating from his small form. My eyes fluttered open as he landed tentatively upon my hand.
The first arrow whizzed past me, thankfully, for I had barely noticed it. The second I dodged quickly, sending my friend skywards and reaching within myself. I went inwards searching for the life signatures of those were attacking me, distressed to find nothing. I called to the wind, praying it to help, and the breeze began to whip harder and blow colder. I called upon the rain that was gathering in the clouds and droplets began to fall.
"Stop!" A rough voice called out to me, walking from behind a tree, a docile figure in front of him. It was Shi. Shi, my one time lover, my still very good friend. Shi, one of the most dangerous Elven warriors. A warrior who was also a sorceress. Shi walked in front of this man, as though she had no choice. He held a knife to her throat.
I stopped from shock. I could not believe this turn of events. The rain quit falling, the breeze returned to normal. Shi's black eyes that I had nicknamed 'Black Fire' seemed completely lifeless, as though the flame had been smothered. Anger welled up within me, who were these beings? What had they done to her? I started to look within, to begin the rain and wind anew. A cold sensation around my neck startled me, and cut me off. I could no longer call . . . my hands felt upwards, eyes still staring at Shi. A band of metal had been placed around my neck causing the world to go dead to my senses. I whirled around towards the one who had done this to me.
He was a large human, with dark black hair and eyes. Similar to the one that held Shi. I was no warrior, preferring sorcery to fighting. But I had learned a bit from Shi, and no longer went unarmed. I reached for my knife, pulling it forward to attack this man. "Stop. Or I will slit her throat," the rough man shouted at me. I weighed my options, I knew she'd rather die than be the reason for my capture.
"Then I will slit his!" I shouted forming the unfamiliar words of the human tongue. I lunged, only to have yet another man push me forward. Why had I not been able to sense them, even before the metal band? I still fought and clawed, but I was indeed not a warrior. Their skill was impressive, and still I wondered how they had taken Shi. Perhaps numbers, I thought as another man pulled my arms behind my back roughly, binding them with the same metal as had gone around my neck. I felt even more cut off, even more distant from the world. It was more than little disorienting.
The man I had been attacking smiled at me wickedly. "I think, we will subdue you soon enough."
I stared at him, wondering what he was talking about, and kicked out with my legs, losing balance but managing to cause him to lose his as well. One of the humans behind me took the opportunity to bind my ankles. I cursed myself for my temper, again. If I had not attacked, I might have more mobility. A rough hand grasped my arm, pulling me to my feet. "I believe Allan has learned his lesson. It will take as long to subdue you as it did the other," this voice was not rough. It was smooth, like silk and seemed more sinister. How cliche, I wondered to myself.
"Now. We will take you back to my Mistress. The road is long, and we must hurry." He pushed me forward and I simply refused to go. They could carry me if I they wanted me to go that badly.
A hand pulled my chin forcefully to stare into dark brown eyes. "You will come with us," the silky voice informed me.
"No. I will not." I stared at those eyes. I did not expect the blow to my face, but I suppose I should have. As a creature of nonviolence I had a tendency to expect the same from others. Shi had told me this would cause me great pain. I winced from the pain and stayed where I was.
"I did not expect that to move you, but perhaps this will." He walked towards Shi, and I saw that he was a very muscular man, broad in the chest and shoulders. He moved with an almost Elven grace.
I gasped as his hand began to trail Shi's dark cheek tenderly. He brought his face close to hers, stealing a kiss from her lips. "I could rape her, right here," his smooth voice had gone rough, excited. The fear in Shi's eyes decided me. Shi did not feel fear, and yet this terrified her.
"I will go," I said quietly, my heart breaking as my legs moved forward with the men.
