Introduction

Tybalt:

It was
raining and I was stuck in it, fumbling with the key to the apartment I shared
with Wolfgang. My ears flopped down,
melding with my fiery hair. I was
soaked and unhappy. Finally I got the
key in the lock and opened the door.
The smell of cookies and hot cocoa wafted towards me.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I breathed deep and shook, trying to dry off
a bit. Water went flying all over the
entry room but I was still soaked.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Tybalt!yes\"> Why’d you go outside?
It’s pouring!” Wolfgang said, throwing a clean, warm, towel over me.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I scowled, looking like a wet
dog. Of course that wasn’t too far off,
for all intents and purposes I was one, not a dog though, a wolf.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Being a wolf-shifter my ears poked out of my
hair, wolf ears. Popping my shoes off I
walked into the living room, drying my hair and ears.yes\"> Flopping down on the couch I sighed.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Tybalt!yes\"> Get off there! You’re
soaked!” He shouted.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I rolled my eyes and got up,
“Uptight bastard.” I growled.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “I heard that Tybalt!” He growled,
“I won’t give you any hot cocoa if you keep that up.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Don’t deny it!style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You’re a neat freak.” I said, walking to my
room, “I’m going to change.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He mumbled something as I walked
away. I didn’t care what he said, it
wasn’t important to me. As I walked to
my room I stripped off my sopping wet clothes, leaving a trial of clothes down
the hall. With the towel draped over my
head, I pulled a pair of sweats out of a drawer and jerked them on before going
back out to see what Wolfgang was doing.
He was sitting on the couch, sipping a cup of cocoa.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I plopped down beside him with a sigh.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Did you pick up your clothes?” He
asked without looking at me.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I didn’t answer him; instead I
leaned my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes, knowing that he couldn’t
resist my charms. He sighed and handed
me the mug he was sipping on. I smiled
and took a sip.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Do you think it’s going to snow
this year?” I asked as he rubbed one of my ears.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> A low groan escaped my lips; I loved
it when he did that, “Perhaps.” He replied absently, rubbing behind the ear he
was playing with.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I closed my eyes, “Mmm, nice.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Good puppy.” He teased as I sipped
at the cocoa, “What are you doing this weekend?” He asked, continuing to
scratch and rub at my ear.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “I’m not a dog.” I said with a sigh,
“But I don’t know what I’m doing.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He smiled, “Would you like to go
with me?”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I scowled, “Where?”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> His smile grew, “You’ll see.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You just have to agree to accompany me.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> an>Ian>I sighed and took a long drink of
cocoa, “Alright Wolfgang, I’ll go with you.
It gives me something to do.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I felt him rub his cheek against my
head, marking me with his scent. Why
was he marking me? I didn’t understand
why he was but it felt nice. His lips
closed around one of my ears and he tugged at it.yes\"> A low whine of pleasure escaped my lips and he chuckled.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “You smell nice puppy.” He growled
in my ear, “Are you comfortable?” I nodded, “Good, take a nap.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You deserve it.” His fingers ran through my
hair, “It’s still wet puppy.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Well, too bad it doesn’t dry fast.”
I growled, “It never has.”

Kiero:

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Bored now.” I said with a sigh,
tossing a coin into a glass.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> When was I going to be freed from
this prison? What did I do to deserve
being sealed here in the first place? I
sighed and threw another coin into the glass.
I wasn’t sure how many years had passed, not that it was really
important. My term of imprisonment
wasn’t set. I had to wait for someone
stupid enough to undo the seal.
Hopefully it wouldn’t be some idiotic woman.yes\"> I hated them. I suppose
that it could be attributed to the fact that one had sealed me but then again I
hated them before that happened. My
tail flicked restlessly across the ground, the ebony tip wrapped around a wine
glass I had nearby and brought it to my lips.
At least my prison was well stocked with, not only good wine, but fine
clothing and food. A loud bang made me
jump, dropping my glass.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Damn it!” I hissed, trying to get
the wine off. Quickly I stripped,
grabbing a pair of loose fitting pants and a comfortable shirt.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I pulled on the pants and shirt, leaving the
laces on the front of the shirt loose, “What was that?” I asked softly,
“Idiotic woman, can’t even make a prison correctly.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I walked around, looking for where
it could have possibly come from. A
small glowing hole caught my attention and I smiled, someone was playing with
the fabric of my prison. I would be
free soon enough. Sitting back to
watch, I waited for the fool to finish breaking through my prison.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> With my luck it would be some human.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I would prefer it to be a shifter, that
would have been very nice, but I would take what I could get.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I watched as the glowing hole grew, almost
big enough for me to get out, just a little more and I would be free.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> It spread open and I walked through, head
high and a smile on my face. My smile
grew when I saw the one who had freed me.
It was a fox-shifter, not only that but it was male.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> His eyes grew wide and he scampered
back. I could tell that he was on the
verge of changing so he could get away.
I had to act fast if I wanted to keep him.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Wait.” I said quickly, “I’m not
going to hurt you.” I gave him my most charming smile.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He looked at me apprehensively but
didn’t change, “Who are you and where the fuck did you come from?”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “My name is Kiero.st\"ms\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I must thank you for freeing me from my
prison.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> His eyes grew wide, “You’re a
dragon-shifter then.” He whispered.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I nodded and my tail lashed from
side to side, “Yes, I am and you’re a fox-shifter.” I replied calmly, “A rare
one. It isn’t everyday that you find a
silver fox.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He blinked, “I’m Imakuni.” He said
softly.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Well Imakuni.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Can you tell me what year this is?” I asked,
walking over and feeling one of his ears.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He closed his eyes at the touch,
obviously enjoying it, “2931.” He said softy.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I sighed, “It’s been thirty years
since she sealed me.” I rubbed behind one of his ears and his knees gave out,
he dropped to his knees and I chuckled darkly, “Soft.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> His head fell into my touch.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I had this little silver fox wrapped around
my finger so quickly. He was everything
I looked for in a pet. Responsive, a
little skittish but I could deal with that, and very good looking.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I would take him with me, he would be mine,
and I would keep him.

Raphael:

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> Strangely enough not all shifters
are born to shifter parents. Both of my
parents are human but my younger sister and I most certainly aren’t.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> All of my other siblings are though and even
our parents tease Lilith and me a lot.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Kitty, here kitty, kitty, kitty.”
It was my mother and apparently she wanted either Lilith or I.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I rolled my eyes and walked down the
stairs. I was going to move out soon,
very soon, “What is it mother?” I hissed, my black tail flicking restlessly
from side to side.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> She smiled, “Come on.” She said,
patting her lap.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I narrowed my eyes, “I am not a
pet!” I growled, “I’m not going to change forms and sit in your lap!”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> She frowned, “Come on.” She
repeated, patting her lap again.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “I’m leaving.” I hissed, “I am not a
pet, not someone you can call and I’ll come running.yes\"> If you want a cat then go get one.” I said angrily, one of my
ears twitching, “You’ve always been like this and it sickens me.style=\"mso-space yes yes\"> I’m disgusted that you think I belong to you
like some animal. I’m just as much of a
person as you are, well, more so then you are.
You have no right to treat me like this.” I said before turning on my
heels and walking to my room so that I could pack a few sets of clothing and
get my cache of money.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I packed quickly and slung my bag
over my shoulder before walking back downstairs and out the door.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I didn’t even pay attention to my mother
trying to stop me. I didn’t care, I
just wanted out of there and away from those damn humans.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I was sick of them.style=\"mso-srun:run: yes\"> Always being teased for what I am.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Running a hand through my white hair, I
threw my bag into my car and got in, starting it up.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Raphael!yes\"> Don’t you dare leave!” My mother shouted from the door.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> A cruel smile spread across my face
and I gave her the finger. Sticking my
head out the window I started to back up while shouting, “Screw you!”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I drove off, trying to put as much
distance between us as possible. I had
to find a new place to live and someone to live with.yes\"> Maybe I could find a mate as well.yes\"> I had a few friends, could go to them until I could find a more
permanent place, but it was still too close to home.yes\"> I sighed, I hated this. I
had hoped to wait until I could find someone to live with but that obviously
didn’t happen. As I drove I realized
that I was hungry. I would have to stop
somewhere for lunch before going anywhere else.yes\"> I smiled, spotting a burger shop.yes\"> This would do quite nicely.
Parking my car in the little lot in front of the shop I got out, locked
it, and walked inside. There weren’t
many people inside but one caught my eye.
He had thick black hair with a pair of matching ears poking out of
it. He was the only shifter in the
place and he was gorgeous. I knew just
by looking at him what he was, by his scent.
Shifters could always tell who was what by their scent.style=\-spa-spacerun: yes\"> This one was a wolf, a very pretty wolf at
that. I smiled to myself before
ordering; I would go talk with him. I
was a very people oriented person, straight forward and to the point.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> With food in hand I walked over to him.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> He blinked and looked up from his paper.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Do you mind if I sit with you?” I
asked, giving him my most charming smile.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Be my guest.” He replied simply.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I sat down and slowly began eating,
“I’m Raphael and you are?”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Wolfgang.” He said, taking a sip of
his soda, “I see that you’re a cat.” I smiled, “I haven’t met one of you
before. It’s good to see another
shifter. What brings you here?”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> Perhaps I could talk him into
getting me a place to stay, or better, letting me stay with him, “I’m looking
for an escape.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He scowled, “An escape from what?”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “My parents.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> My mother constantly wanted me to transform
so she could have a pet. Both of my
parents are human. They see me as a
pet, nothing more. I had to get out of
there.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He nodded in understanding, “So
where are you going?”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I bowed my head, “I have no place to
go. I don’t know what to do.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He was silent for a moment, seemed
deep in thought; “I’m sorry. Good luck
in finding a place that will accept a shifter.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I bit my lip, “Could I stay with
you?” I asked sheepishly, giving him my most innocent look, “I’ll do anything
you want just please.” He looked at me skeptically, “I’ll cook, I’ll clean,
anything.” I pleaded.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He raised one elegantly curved
eyebrow, “Anything?” I small smile spread across his face.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Yes, anything. Just for a while.
I\'ll leave as soon as I find another place to stay.” I begged.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He smiled at me before speaking,
“Alright Raphael, you have a deal. You
can come live with me but remember that you said you’d do anything.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I ran a hand through my hair
absently, “I did say that, didn’t I?” I smiled, “I keep my promises so don’t
worry about it. Where do you live?” I
asked, finishing my burger.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “You’ll see.” He said, picking his
paper back up, “Do you have a car?”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Yes.” I said, eating a couple
fries.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Then we’ll take your car.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I can come back for mine.” I nodded, “Just
tell me when you’re ready to go. Do you
mind if I drive your car?”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “No.yes\"> I don’t.” I was happy that I was going to have a place to live
and I would do anything to keep it. I
finished my fries and soda, “Alright, I’m ready.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He folded the paper up and put it
down before getting to his feet, “Well, let’s go then.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I got up and together we walked
out. I handed him the keys to my car
and we walked to my car. Without a word
he unlocked the door and got in, hitting the button to unlock the other
doors. I hopped in the passenger seat
and he started up the car.

Tybalt:

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> Wolfgang had gone to go get some
lunch about an hour ago. It never took
him that long. I was worried about him,
thought something bad had happened. In
my eyes I was right. The door opened
and he walked in followed by what smelled like a cat.yes\"> He was handsome enough but I was seething.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Wolfgang was supposed to be mine.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I had shared his bed for years.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Sure we were just friends but I wanted
something more then that.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Tybalt, this is…” Wolfgang started
but I cut him off.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “A cat.” I growled.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> Wolfgang sighed, “Yes, he is.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> His name is…”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “I don’t care what his name is.” I
pouted.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Well, Raphael, this is my roommate,
Tybalt.” He said calmly, ignoring my outburst, “I think he’s a little
jealous. He has this thing against me
having other friends.” He turned to me, “Can’t you be just a little nice to
him? He’s going to be living here for
awhile.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “What?!” I wasn’t sure I had heard
him right.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “That’s right Tybalt.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> He had to get away from his parents and is
going to be staying here. At least
he’ll keep his room clean and help keep the apartment that way, unlike you.” He
growled, “Just deal with it ‘cause he’s not going anywhere.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> Raphael looked a little nervous and
I sighed, “I’m not going to bite and since the almighty Wolfgang has spoken I
won’t be too mean to you.” I said, rolling my eyes, “It’s not like I should
even be jealous, there’s nothing between us.” I mumbled.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Thanks.” Raphael said with a smile,
“I really appreciate this.”

Imakuni:

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I had gone with Kiero although I had
no idea why. I didn’t know what came
over me to accompany the dragon-shifter.
It was insane! I shouldn’t have
gone with him, shouldn’t have risked myself.
Dragon-shifters were notoriously possessive and they kept other shifters
as pets. Being a rare breed of shifter,
a silver fox, he probably wanted to keep me.
I was a little worried about what was going to happen but something drew
me to him. It must have been his
natural charisma; dragon-shifters had power over people, not just humans but
shifters as well. Kiero was no
exception. He was gorgeous.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Silver eyes and jet-black hair were unusual
for dragon-shifters, as was his pale skin.
He was rare, just like I was.
Although dragon-shifters come in different colors, black dragons were
rare and I knew, just from looking at him, that he was a black dragon.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> His tail, wings, and hair told me that.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Feathered serpents and black dragons were
the rarest type of dragon-shifters.
After I had released Kiero from his prison and we had our introduction,
he had asked me to accompany him.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Imakuni.” Kiero whispered, drawing
me from my thoughts.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Huh?” I asked, a little startled.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He smiled at me sweetly, “Tell me
something.” He whispered, running a talon down my cheek.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I blinked, “What is it that you are thinking
about?”

style=\'msb-cob-count:1\'> “I’m trying to figure out why I came
with you.” I said softly.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> A small smile spread across his
face, “Hmm, I don’t know either but I am very happy that you did.” He
whispered, brushing a hand through my hair.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> I gasped softly, his touch sent a
surge of pleasure through me and I shuddered, “Stop.” I whispered.

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> He pulled away and wrapped an arm
around my shoulders, “Let’s go.” He kissed my temple and we continued on.

Wolfgang:

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> “Damn jealous wolf.” I whispered,
shaking my head, “Tybalt needs to learn to get over that.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I don’t love him, he’s just my friend.” I
said to myself, “Ok, a friend with benefits.” I tipped my head up into the flow
of water. I deserved this nice relaxing
shower, “Don’t know about Raphael yet though.” I small smile quirked up the
corner of my mouth, “That should be fun.
He did say he’d do anything.”

style=\'mso-tab-count:1\'> Tybalt was sweet, yes, but he wasn’t
my type. I wasn’t sure about Raphael
yet. He seemed closer to the kind of
person I went for. I liked the more submissive
ones and Raphael begging me to let him stay had certainly spiked my
interest. Having a mate was something
that all shifters did. It didn’t matter
what sex they were, it just mattered that they were with someone.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> It was important for their mental
health. I still needed a mate and it
wasn’t going to be Tybalt.
