Your story is very well written in all respects. I truly and thouroughly enjoyed reading it. I suppose that for all the good things about this site, that readers posting reviews is not one of them. With my review only being the third one you've received, it just goes to show that feedback can be hard to find.

Leaving feedback on a professionally edited and published story by a proper writer is way intimidating, but, heck a guy called Alistair getting it on with an elf-adjacent type (not that these sidhe tolerate that sort of comparison :p)? That takes me back to a weekly story of what’s now a shockingly long time ago…
This is pretty much yer perfect storytelling. All the stuff at the start has a point that gets expanded on later on! Like, what you’re just hinting at gets more and more detailed. I gotta admit I found the image of Alistair stripped off with a thumping boner that just wouldn’t do what he wanted when he got out of his fancy duds pretty amusing. You can feel his touch of embarrassment, while presumably Cianán’s noticing some resemblance to his grandfather. That note about describing his eyes and hair like that while Alistair went for brown kinda suggests it is more than just a lesson…
There were a few nice touches of humor like that raging boner experience, I liked the comment about how he expected to hear a sigh a lot, and also having to own up that it was his stomach making the noise.
Settingwise I loved the description of the embassy just there in the town and you’re through the door and effortlessly elsewhere, and the way the walk to the cottage is also part of the magic – it just seems like a cottage in a woods but it’s all so much more. Also, gotta love a good fairy (ok, ok sidhe) market. One too dumb to live fella there.
When it came the affectionate tender sex was still fucking hot. (See, writing reviews for you proper writers is hard!) Working up to that really lovely to envision kneeling penetration.
I really enjoyed it! I can absolutely see how it got published and I am sorry it had that bad luck with the first publisher and second anthology. I’m sure it’s not the Spinal Tap’s Drummer of cursed stories! Thanks for sharing it here with us.
